Spent a week at Charmillion and had the best week ever. The staff are very polite and always willing to give you a hand. Cleaners are very hardworking and you can see them working from early hours till late (I don’t know how in this heat) especially Mohammed, could always tell he made special effort. The food was nice. I did get sick but really I don’t know why people complain. It’s a hot country so in a way I was expecting an upset stomach. You can tell their food is freshly made. The only thing I didn’t like was the “upgrade” on our arrival. The man at the reception told us “you have a standard room but I can give you an upgrade for a little tip” I didn’t want to argue so I just gave it to him. The entertainment is spot on. There is always something going on for the kids and adults from the animation team. Naser- especially with his dancing skills🕺 Overall, great experience and will be coming back.

I don’t understand why this hotel has such a high rating. I’ve been staying here for four days now, and my impressions are very mixed. I came here with my children. The trip was arranged by a travel agent — a girl from Egypt. She suggested this hotel as one of the best in Sharm. I looked at the photos and reviews and agreed. Unfortunately! She booked a Superior Room Garden View at Charmillion Gardens Aqua Park for us. However, they said it was upgraded, so we were placed in a room overlooking the aqua park. I honestly don’t see what kind of upgrade that is — during the day there’s constant noise from children screaming outside the window. When we entered the room, it turned out to be just a standard room with an extra bed — basically an extremely uncomfortable folding cot. As a result, the three of us are sleeping in one bed. When I went to the reception to ask whether this was really a superior room, they said yes. I contacted the manager who organized the trip to clarify the situation, and she told me there were no other options because of Trump’s recent visit. I wanted to move to another hotel, but this one said they wouldn’t refund the money. After long back-and-forth messages, I decided to stay here. The food in the restaurant is about a 7/10. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to the beach, which isn’t very pleasant in the heat. The beach itself isn’t suitable for swimming — you can only dip your feet in the water. If you want access to the coral reef, you need to walk another five minutes, and even there the pontoon isn’t finished. You have to walk through shallow water to reach the pontoon and then climb into the sea from there. The territory is large and beautiful — that’s a plus. The aqua park is great too. But the situation with the beach was a big disappointment. Also, the bed linen and towels probably used to be white about two years ago — now they’re grayish, and the duvet cover is torn. The overall cleanliness and maintenance are far from what you expect from a five-star hotel. At this point, this has been our worst experience in Egypt, and we definitely won’t be coming back to this hotel. It’s nowhere near a 5-star standard.

They’ve hold our check-in process due to missing tax paper from tourism company side! And they are mentioning it like this is a normal action!! This issue is not related to the end-customer, this issue is between the hotel and the tourism company!! Not Me. They are using me to put pressure on the tourism company to deliver their tax paper! What about my experience? After traveling for 9 hours and need to get rest! They deserve less than 1 star rating. I’ve called the Tourism Police.

*Review of Charmillion Aqua Park Resort – Sharm El Sheikh* *Overall Impression* Our stay at Charmillion Aqua Park Resort was intended to be a memorable celebration for three families marking their wedding anniversaries. Unfortunately, while the resort offers some enjoyable features, several critical shortcomings significantly impacted our experience. *Bad Experiences* 1. *Failure to Honor Advance Requests* Two months prior to arrival, we requested that our three family bookings be placed in the same apartment block or at least on the same floor. This was never fulfilled. Despite booking together and informing the hotel well in advance, we were separated across different blocks. This disrupted our plans and diminished the significance of our celebration. What made matters worse was the lack of acknowledgment or any gesture of compensation from the hotel, which was extremely disappointing given the occasion. 2. *Poor Room Service & Maintenance* Our shower head was broken; after reporting it, maintenance attended but did not fix the issue. Water sprayed from the back of the pipe, making showering uncomfortable. Requests for basic items such as water or an iron after 7 PM required multiple calls and took 1–2 hours to arrive. This level of delay is unacceptable for a resort of this standard. 3. *Mosquito Infestation & Lack of Prevention* Mosquitoes were a major issue throughout our stay. There were no preventive measures such as mosquito nets or plug-in repellents. We had to repeatedly request room spraying, which was done hastily and ineffectively. This reflects poor planning and disregard for guest comfort. 4. *Safety Concerns* The aqua park lacked proper safety barriers around water areas, unlike the sister resort Sea Life. Parents had to constantly monitor children to prevent accidents, especially during evening hours. This is a serious safety oversight. 5. *Kids Club* The kids club was outdated, unhygienic, and poorly maintained. Floors were dirty, and staff showed little interaction or engagement with children. 6. *Dining Experience* Buffet food was repetitive and bland, with limited variety on some days. The Indian restaurant lacked authentic options such as mango lassi and Karak chai. At the Mexican restaurant, staff argued in front of guests, and the chili con carne was poorly prepared, missing key ingredients. Themed dinner nights were absent, which could have added variety and excitement. 7. *Special Requests Ignored* Despite requesting anniversary decorations and cakes for all three rooms, only one room was decorated. This lack of attention to detail was disheartening. 8. *Limited Services & Amenities* - No in-house currency exchange service; reliance on ATMs incurs bank charges. - ⁠Sports bar only showed football; requests for UFC or boxing were denied. - ⁠Spa services were misleading—full body massage excluded hands, feet, and head. - ⁠Electric cars for kids were cash-only, with no card payment option. - ⁠No indoor swimming pool or comfortable indoor lounge areas. - ⁠Rooms (e.g., 1112) lacked lifts, forcing us to carry a baby upstairs. - ⁠Bathrooms and rooms need urgent renovation; they appear old and poorly maintained. *Good Experiences* 1. *Aqua Park & Water Rides* The water rides were enjoyable and a highlight for families. 2. *Friendly Staff* Most staff members were courteous and helpful, which we appreciated. 3. *24-Hour Drinks Bar* The availability of drinks around the clock was convenient. 4. *Child-Friendly Environment* Despite safety concerns, the resort overall caters to families with children. 5. *Attractive Hotel Design* The property itself is visually appealing and well laid out.

STAFF SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT , SPECIALLY restaurant staff and manager of the hotel was very courteous and polite. there was issue we had regarding booking and manager of the hotel spoke to me in a very nice way. i was offered free late check out . 1 of the activities which is a pool party ( charegable) is unique which is normally not offered by other resorts. food quality was very good. sometimes shows during the day. slides were fun in the water park. Clean rooms and view from the room was very good. bar service and drinks were available all day. had booking issue with resort asked me to pay 250 usd and then manager reduced it to 150 which i had to pay because i wasnt aware., i felt like it was tricked by resort to get money out of my pocket because they didnt inform me this at the time of check in and raised it one day after i stayed. why not inform me first day. they have technique of using junior staff when it comes to asking money or something and when customer gets angry they bring manager to cut the edge and make it easy for customer this is wrong. at time of checkout three towel cards were missing, reception guy straightway refused to do checkout untill i bring all cards?? told him towels were in the room he refused to check out. big issue !!! its not all inclusive , they will charge u for ice cream , candy floss, and even for some shows we were asked to pay for pool party , small kids battery car we had to pay money for that , when its all inclusive u dont charge your customers. night kids show was basic one . not much kids entertainment apart from waterpark ,not much information for shows anywhere on board or leaflet. resort claim three restaurants main , indian and italian but u have to prebook and apart from dinner indian restaurant had same dish as main restaurant. late breakfast had only croissants , doughnuts were in the shelf and chargeable . After checkout leaving the car park security guy stopped me at the gate and waited for clearance felt like i was stealing and they wanted clearance before they let me go.. Hotels do that internally without showing customers whether they have done clearance or not. i felt really bad staying in resort. will never come back in this resort.
