The style of the resort, being embedded in the rainforest directly next to the sea, is beautiful. We had a premium sea view room and it definitely lived up to its name. However, besides being properly maintained, the rooms are lacking refurbishment. In a 5 star property you expect a more up to date design. Also the so called "Jungle Gym" is a rather poor little fitness room than a proper resort gym. Nevertheless, the absolute biggest room for improvement can be found in the F&B offerings. 7 outlets that are all rated at an avarage of 3.5 points on Google, Trip Advisor and so on. And to be honest, that is still quite a strech consodering the quality of food you get served there. It is very obvious that those 7 outlets are clearly too much for the current F&B as well as kitchen management to handle. None of the offered cuisines are coming close to an authentic experience. Having this said, the way to go is to close down at least 4-5 of them and focuse on the other two with the goal to create something that lives up to the expectations someone has who stays at a 5 star property. Those poor ratings excist for a reason and the managment would do good in finally paying attention to them and finding a solution to improve them. That might offer also some space to eventually find a new room to create a proper gym. Apart of that, the pool, the beach as well as the Spa are great places to be at during your stay. In addition, the service quality of the staff is great as they are always eager to help and put a lot of effort in making your stay a memorable one. To conclude, the resort has definitely the potential to become a first choice address on the island if the management starts paying attention to the areas of improvement.

I visited Berjaya Langkawi Resort a few years back with my family and stayed in one of their Forest Village Houses, and it was an unforgettable experience. Staying amidst the lush rainforest felt like being completely immersed in nature, with the sounds of birds and rustling leaves creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The Forest Village House itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a private balcony that offered stunning views of the greenery around. Waking up to nature every morning was a unique and refreshing experience that you can’t find in ordinary hotels. The resort facilities were excellent, including the pool, spa, and easy access to the beach. There were plenty of family-friendly activities, like kayaking, cycling, and nature walks, which kept everyone entertained. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, ensuring that our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Even though it has been a few years since this visit, the combination of comfort, nature, and excellent service makes Berjaya Langkawi Resort a truly memorable destination. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone wanting a unique forest-immersed stay in Langkawi.

I stayed at this 5* beauty for a week. What differentiates this stunning hotel besides its aesthetics, location and setting, is the hospitality of the staff. From the second you enter until the second you depart, you are made to feel like a true guest. A completely unrivalled service offering rarely featured in Western European and North American hotels. Guest services respond to all requests quickly. We stayed at a room in the jungle - you can see monkeys from your bed! It is stunning and not too many mosquitoes. Free wifi and excellent amenities. The buffet has a dreamy variety of food enough for all to indulge. Definitely include the buffer in your stay. We rented bikes and cycled around the entire island - about 45 miles. Absolutely stunning and nothing will beat this! Enjoy.

We stayed here over New Year and had an excellent stay. On arrival we were lucky enough to be given an early check in (without even asking!) and a buggy took us to our Premier Overwater Suite. It was stunning. I could live there given half a chance! Bedroom was spacious with sofa and ample storage, bathroom had both indoor shower and bath and also an outdoor jacuzzi bath - loved it. Small ish balcony but still big enough to get 2 sun loungers on it. We were even given a huge complimentary basket of fruit and bottle of Taittenger champagne - one of my faves 😍 Mini bar was also topped up daily with soft drinks, beer and snacks. On NYE the hotel laid on a complimentary buffet in a marquee on the beach with drinks included - it was awesome. Small technical hitch with the NYE countdown but the fireworks more than made up for it. Dined at the Chinese (service was far too slow), Thai (nice enough - incredible sunset setting) and also the Beach Brasserie twice (both times were terrible with poor service and cold food!). Breakfast was a free for all and really busy, luckily they opened the Chinese restaurant for extra seating so we went in there each day which was much quieter and less hectic! Breakfast choice was ample. Didn’t use the pool as there was far too many screaming kids there but utilised the beach daily. Sad to say there was nowhere near enough sunbeds for the occupancy of the hotel and you had to get here early to snag one otherwise you were scuppered for the day - I HATE that! All in all a great stay and would definitely stay again if in Langkawi 😬

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time. We stayed in one of the forest chalets, and it was lovely. The staff were really friendly and always happy to help. The natural surroundings were beautiful — we frequently saw hornbill birds and dusky leaf monkeys right outside our room, which was one of the highlights of our time in Malaysia. The resort’s private beach was also gorgeous, with stunning white sand. The beach chalets looked absolutely beautiful too, although we didn’t stay in one. Having stayed in five-star hotels all over the world, I was genuinely impressed with my time here. Overall, the hotel was excellent and we had a really lovely stay. If I were to be picky, I’d say the rooms could benefit from some minor renovations, but that’s a very small point. I would highly recommend this resort!
