AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel

I chose this hotel because I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday at the SEEN rooftop restaurant, located at the hotel. I booked a room category that would be assigned at check-in, and it was more expensive than a standard river-view room. However, I was ultimately given a regular river-view room where a large wall significantly blocked part of the view. Since the hotel was aware that I was celebrating my 30th birthday, I expected at least a small gesture, a room upgrade if available, or simply a birthday greeting. Unfortunately, none of this happened. The receptionist did not even acknowledge my birthday during check-in. I have received warmer birthday greetings and better attention even in three-star hotels. When staying at a five-star hotel, I naturally expect a higher level of service, attention to detail, and hospitality. The rooftop restaurant was also disappointing in this regard. No birthday arrangement had been prepared, and a small dessert was only brought out after my wife reminded the staff that it was my birthday. Overall, the breakfast was good and the hotel has a beautiful view, but the service did not feel personal or attentive enough for a five-star property. Unfortunately, I would probably not choose this hotel again.

Having a great time at Avani + Riverside Hotel. From the moment we were served by Top at Reception, it has been seamless. Rooms are kept immaculate by housekeeping team..Noon is one of the unsung heroes. Farmhouse has been looking after us at breakfast and everyone else have been super great too. There were no antibacterial wipes in the gym…so I went on the Minor Hotels app, reported it on the chat. At first I was told that there's antibacterial for hands on the wall and tissue and towels. I insisted that the equipment have to be wiped down. When we went to the gym, they had implemented my request and now there are antibacterial wipes in the gym, hospital grade even. This is a hotel that listens to its guests. As a GHA Discovery Titanium member I was given double upgrade which we are very grateful for. The free boat transfer is absolutely amazing…the staff there are all so lovely, captain and assistant. We loved it here so much we moved our holiday around so we could stay another 4 nights. I have never loved a hotel this much before. Absolutely loving Thailand.

We stayed at Avani+ not knowing exactly what we signed up for. Just needed a nice place to stay during our 5 days in Bangkok. And wow this hotel was everything we could have asked for and then some. The concierge and door service was impeccable, someone always escorted us to and from our cabs, providing us with umbrellas if it was raining. The hotel room was impeccably clean, and the view was to die for. The roof had a lovely lounging area plus infinity pool. And conveniently there was a supermarket/convenience store on the ground floor PLUS a mall/plaza type situation where you could shop for pretty much anything you needed, and some restaurants too. Also the breakfast was nice - had the option to order A La Carte eggs (included in breakfast package), and great selection of fruits and other bits. We did not try lunch or dinner here, as we were keen to experience local food. For Bangkok, this hotel is a little bit on the pricier side. But when you compare to UK/US pricing, we thought it was great value for money. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok. The hotel offers stunning views of the Chao Phraya River, and the rooftop area is one of the highlights of the property. The location is convenient, especially with the complimentary shuttle boat service, making it easy to explore Bangkok while enjoying a quieter atmosphere away from the busiest areas of the city. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. The staff was consistently friendly, professional, and helpful, always willing to assist with a smile. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options and beautiful river views to start the day. Overall, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Incredible experience at this hotel. Staff are especially friendly here. Rooms are always left impeccable (special thanks to Khun Oh oe who left the room looking spotless with personal touches). Breakfast variety was huge - they even had an area where you can make your own juice using their juicer. The pool and gym facilities are fantastic and highly recommend a visit to Seen. Highly recommend.
