Distance from resort centre

The hotel is a resort within itself with several restaurants and spa. If you do fancy venturing out, there are several other bars and restaurants within walking distance approximately 850m away in Tangalle. A great way to explore the local area is by bicycle or tuk tuk. You can take numerous trips and tours of key attractions from Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort and Spa. It’s a 30-minute drive to Mulkirigala Rock Temple. Uda Walawe National Park, Mirissa for whale watching, and historic Galle are all approximately 1.5 hours’ drive away.

Distance from airport

Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport is approximately 216km away from Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort and Spa. The scenic drive takes about 3.5 hours. It’s also possible to take a 45 minute flights to Dickwella, which is 10 minutes-drive from the resort. There’s one transfer flight per day or it’s possible to charter a private flight.

We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Peace Haven and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Our pool villa was beautiful, with a stunning view over the beach. The resort is also incredible for wildlife spotting—we loved seeing the monkeys, peacocks and other wildlife around the grounds. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety, and the fresh Sri Lankan breakfast was a standout every morning. A special thank you to our housekeeping team, Susith and Dilruk, who maintained our villa to the highest standard we’ve experienced. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and our daughter couldn’t wait to get back from breakfast each morning to see which towel animal they had created for her. Those little touches made our stay even more memorable. We’d also like to thank Thisari, the night manager when we arrived, who made us feel so welcome and continued to check in throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect. Finally, the Kids Club staff were all so lovely. Our daughter especially enjoyed the arts and crafts activities and looked forward to visiting each day. Thank you to the entire team for making our family holiday so special. We hope to be back again one day!

This was a beautiful hotel. We had a relaxing and wonderful holiday. The view from the room was beautiful and beach access was wonderful. The food was delicious and although there were no buffets as it was off peak time there were a lot of options. The kitchen was prepared to make whatever we wanted. Housekeeping was amazing, we felt really taken care of. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really loved the pool and the pool bar area.

Our experience at Anantara Peace Haven Sri Lanka so far has been exceptional! We're staying here for our honeymoon and it's our first time in Sri Lanka. The staff have all been so kind, friendly, and accommodating, and they've really made us feel at home. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that we are having the best time; they were genuinely kind and helpful at anytime of day. Even though it's the off-season, the weather has been lovely! We've loved seeing so much wildlife around the resort, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking in the morning, during the day, and at night. We had lunch at the Italian restaurant on our first day, and the food was exceptional—especially the wild mushroom risotto and the seafood entrée. Definitely a must-try! It was also my husband's birthday during our stay, on top of it being our honeymoon, and I have to say they absolutely spoiled us. They made both occasions feel so special. Shakthi in specific was with us throughout stay and was around the whole time to make sure nothing is needed 🙏🏼 My favorite part has to be the little towel arrangements the housekeeping staff make for us every day 🤣. We're definitely coming back and will be recommending this place to everyone we know. Thank you for the whole team for making our first trip to Sri Lanka so memorable! ❤️

Hands down one of my favourite hotel stays in Sri Lanka! 😊 Our stay at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle was exceptional and exceeded all our expectations from start to finish. A special thank you to our host, Yashani, who was absolutely outstanding! She was always polite and quick to respond, incredibly helpful and somehow always one step ahead in organising everything we needed, making our stay completely effortless. The food was fantastic! The quality of the produce, the variety of the menus and the attention to detail in every dish were truly impressive. The service was excellent! Every member of staff we encountered greeted us with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. Although we didn't manage to get everyone's names, we appreciate Thisari, the restaurant team, housekeeping staff, the poolside staff, the front desk and guest services team and gardeners who all played a part in making our stay so memorable. The hotel itself is stunning. From the beautifully designed rooms with amazing ocean views to the thoughtful welcome treats, luxurious amenities, pool, gym, complimentary activities and the variety of excellent restaurants, every detail has been carefully considered. One of the most memorable touches was that the hotel surprised us with two beautiful cakes to celebrate my parents' anniversary and aunt's birthday without us even mentioning it. It was such a thoughtful gesture! So whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to be pampered, I couldn't recommend Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle highly enough. Looking forward to making another visit eventually! 😊

My husband and I stayed 4 nights and it was a wonderful stay. The location was perfect - secluded, peaceful, beautiful, surrounded by amazing wildlife, flora and fauna. The premises was very well looked after. The staff was incredible - professional, kind, helpful, polite. Especially Kasturi and definitely Meyuru that we were able to chat to on many occasions. The experience was exactly what we needed as we were drawing near to our Sri Lanka holiday. Would highly highly recommend and also we would certainly consider coming back.
