The entire experience was truly outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the Front Office team demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and thoughtfulness. Their warm welcome, friendly attitude, and continuous support throughout my stay created a wonderful sense of comfort. Every interaction felt genuine, and they consistently made me feel valued as a guest. At Bojunhala, both the reception team and the service team were equally impressive. They offered personalized attention at every meal, always checking on our needs, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a very pleasant atmosphere. Their professionalism and kindness added so much value to the stay. The food quality, cleanliness, bed linen standards, and overall environment were exceptional. Every detail reflected the meticulous care and high standards maintained by the hotel. This stay at Shangri‑La Hambanthota was truly memorable, and I deeply appreciate the effort taken by all the staff to make it special. We stayed 3 Nigths at the ShangriLa. The rooms were spacious and the roomservice was excellent. Kids pool and spa services were great, we had a deep tissue massage. Restaurant wise we recommend the club house, its quieter than the buffet and the food was better quality. The kids club was ok, the kids did some crafting but we in our opinion a TV shouldn’t be necessary. We highly recommend the Flying Trapez. Our instructors Tharindu and Chamith were great and they took great care in safety and made sure we had fun. Our 6 year old daughter did it twice as it was such a fun experience. Overall we wouldn’t recommend the hotel for people looking for a luxuriois and quite stay, but with all its amenities its for sure a super hotel for families who look for some entertainment for the kids.

We’ve just returned from an amazing week at Shangri‑La Hambantota, and the resort exceeded all our expectations. The beautiful setting, great facilities, warm and welcoming staff, and unforgettable sunsets made it the perfect spot for a family reunion holiday. The food was consistently excellent. We especially enjoyed having the buffet breakfast outdoors, as the indoor buffet felt a little busy during the breakfast family peaks. The sushi and sashimi at Sera were outstanding, and we loved the High Tea, happy hour, and sunset drinks at Gimanhala Lounge. We also enjoyed two relaxed dinners at the Ulpatha Clubhouse. The spa is stunning, and the Hambantota Wellness Journey was incredibly relaxing. The golf course was another highlight, my dad, who plays regularly at St Andrews, rated it extremely highly. A must‑play for golfers visiting Sri Lanka. A big thank‑you to the wonderful team—especially Guest Relations, Jagath (Housekeeping), Madhu (Gimanhala Lounge), Pyadasrshan (Sports & Recreation), the Banquets manager, and all the Food & Beverage staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and professional. We also loved Priyadsashana’s daily aqua aerobics class and bike ride around the resort. Off‑site, we visited Goyambokka Beach (a Top 50 beach globally) and Yala National Park, where we met Gamanu, the famous elephant—an experience that we will never forget! We can’t wait to return!

Our stay at Shangri-La Hambantota was wonderful, but what truly made it unforgettable was the incredible team at the Ulpatha Club House & Bar. From the very first visit, the bar team made us feel more like friends than guests. A special thank you goes to Vihanga, Lakshitha, Akila, and Milan — they are absolute stars. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care stood out every single day. They remembered our preferences, checked in on us constantly, and went out of their way to make sure we were always comfortable and happy. Whether it was recommending the perfect drink, creating something special just for us, or simply sharing a friendly conversation, they made every visit to the bar a highlight of our stay. Their positive energy and teamwork created such a welcoming atmosphere that we found ourselves coming back not just for the drinks, but for the people. It’s rare to come across service that feels so sincere and effortless. These four truly went above and beyond, and we can’t thank them enough for making our stay so enjoyable. Shangri-La Hambantota is lucky to have such an amazing team — and we are grateful to have experienced their hospitality.

We recently spent a 1-night Full Board stay at Shangri-La Hambantota, checking in on 16/01/2026, and once again, the experience exceeded all expectations. From the very beginning, the reservation process was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Vinoden, who has been assisting me with my stays for the past 4 years. His professionalism, warm personality, and true customer obsession make every interaction pleasant and reassuring. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfectly arranged, and it truly makes a difference. He is a great asset to Shangri-La. The rooms were excellent — spacious, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless, reflecting the high standards of cleanliness Shangri-La is known for. It was evident that great care is taken in housekeeping, which made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The buffet was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options and excellent quality across all meals. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, catering to different tastes. The service at the restaurant was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. What truly stands out about Shangri-La Hambantota is how every stay creates lasting memories.
