It was a wonderful stay at Shangri-la Hambantota. We loved the variety of meal options, the children friendly pool with activities and specially the flying trapeze was a great adventure! The lovely crew of the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. We had a great time for two whole days and it definitely was worth the travel. Kids were able to engage in many activities and it was outstanding because they were never left out when adults were relaxing. Beach views, aesthetic swings, romantic ambience along with a polite and lovely crew made the stay magical!! Would love to visit again for the next holidays! Thank you.

We had an amazing stay at Shangri-La Hambantota! The food was delicious, with a great variety of seafood. We stayed in the Premium Ocean Room on the 4th floor, which had a beautiful sea view and was clean and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and always helpful. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, making it a relaxing and memorable stay. I highly recommend Shangri-La Hambantota!

The kids’ pool and adventure zone are also fantastic for families, with plenty of fun activities that keep everyone happy. The food is another highlight. Every meal — from breakfast to dinner — feels like a feast. The buffets are rich with both local Sri Lankan and international dishes, all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The chefs are friendly and often stop by to ensure guests are happy with their meals. Don’t miss the seafood dishes — they’re absolutely delicious! What I loved most was the beautiful garden and golf course surrounding the resort. Walking paths stretch across green fields filled with birds, butterflies, and flowers. It’s perfect for peaceful morning walks or evening strolls under the stars. The resort’s eco-friendly design and attention to preserving nature add even more meaning to the experience. The spa and wellness area is also worth mentioning — calm, fragrant, and deeply relaxing. The massages are done with great care and professionalism, leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed. Every moment at Shangri-La feels special — from the sunrise over the ocean to the warm goodnight greetings from the staff. If you’re looking for a place to completely relax, celebrate love, or spend meaningful time with your family, Shangri-La Hambantota is the perfect choice. However, one thing that felt a little disappointing was the price of bottled water at the resort. It’s charged at an unexpectedly high rate compared to the overall experience, and it would be wonderful if the resort could consider offering complimentary water in the restaurants or at least more reasonably priced options. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference to guests’ comfort. A truly world-class resort that touches your soul. 💛🌴✨

Our family stay at Shangri-La Hambantota was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality time with kids and family. It’s truly worth every rupee spent. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was good and excellent quality throughout our stay. What made the experience truly special was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. A special mention to Radeesha (F&B), Kaniska (F&B), Chamath (F&B), and Hiruni (Housekeeping) for their outstanding service and warm hospitality. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Overall, a perfect family getaway relaxing atmosphere, great food, and wonderful people. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hambantota!
