This hotel knows how to deliver a standard which is quite exceptional to find these days. All staff across all areas of the hotel were professional but friendly and extremely helpful. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding. The added bonus were the heated pools, and supply of pool towels, just brilliant; mine stayed in the case! The room safe was a decent size, bottled water left every day, pod coffee machine with great coffee and of course a fridge. We didn't upgrade our room and were facing the road, which was not busy and caused us no problems. We wanted a week away, in a nice quiet authentic hotel, Hotel Colon Guanahani delivered, and we could not have asked for more. Well done to the Adrian family for creating a family run environment, with a leadership in place to maintain this ethos. Thank you to all the staff who made this a really memorable holiday and to some fellow holiday makers who added to the evening entertainment with their dancing skills! We had a fabulous week.

Just back from a week's stay. Very relaxing and peaceful, as the hotel seems to attract an older clientele. Two heated pools, and a rooftop heated pool and jacuzzi which have beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. I loved that we got two pool towels each - one for the sunbed and one to dry yourself. There was an excellent choice at the breakfast buffet of both hot and cold food. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, so can't comment on that. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the housekeeping staff. The hotel is located a short walk from the beach, though it's down a steep hill which could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems.

A fabulous oasis of a hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. It's adults only so is very quiet, peaceful and tranquil. The staff are just first rate and the hotel is so very clean it's almost unreal. The food is first class with a great selection of food at every meal and the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Mixed experience: Great location and breakfast, but highly unprofessional front desk service Great location near the beach and a late-night supermarket. The rooms were clean despite the older building. The gentleman serving breakfast was incredibly kind and welcoming every morning. However, the check-in and room service experience was highly unprofessional. Upon arrival, a front desk staff member made an inappropriate and discriminatory gesture towards us as Asian guests. This was deeply offensive and completely unacceptable for a hotelier. Additionally, the TV in our room was broken(Netflix didn’t work). After two failed technical attempts, we requested a room change. The female staff member on duty was dismissive and unhelpful, only changing her attitude after the technical issue was officially confirmed. We wasted over an hour resolving this and had to move our own luggage without receiving any apology. While some employees were wonderful, the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff significantly ruined our overall stay.

Overall a lovely hotel, superbly located for fanabe beach and Costa Adeje per se. Very clean and well appointed. Excellent, professional, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good with lots of choice and good fresh options. That said, spoilt a little bit, by serving tinned peaches and Pears!! Bread also at times a little stale (suitable for toast only). We stayed over Christmas and the Christmas day buffet was exceptional, quality and choice second to none. The two main issues for us were, firstly our room. At no time of day did our balcony receive any sun at all, it also looked out on a busy road.This made the balcony noisy from traffic and too cold to sit on and the room dark and cold. Would never stay here again unless we could have a balcony that received sun at some point during the day. We did ask reception customer service if they could move us to a different room they said that it was not possible to do so. Secondly, the entertainment was very limited and repetitive. A lot of guests left the hotel at night to seek entertainment in Town. I think that if the hotel did better in this area they would find more guests staying after their meal with bar takings going up. I would add that the pool area is lovely. I can however see problems arising over sunbeds during high demand periods.
