I had a BLAST!!! The staff was super friendly! S/o the amazing girl who salsa’d with me every night and gave me a hug every time she saw me! The bartenders taught me some Spanish. Rooms were always spotless, the bed was super hard that’s the only thing I didn’t like. Be careful with the excursions they are expensive on resort but the city is walking distance and you can find good prices. The restaurants were amazing! Do hibachi and gourmet. As a dancer I critiqued the shows every night, the dancers were entertaining and technical, I wanted to join in. We also lovedddd the food truck on the beach, drinks were great too. I honestly had an amazing time and would go back!

We stayed at Vista Sol Punta Cana Beach Resort & Spa in January 2026, and overall, our experience was mixed. The hotel has a great location with a beautiful, spacious beach and a large resort area. There are several swimming pools, although finding a chair was almost impossible because most loungers were “reserved” before breakfast, despite this being against the hotel’s own rules. Unfortunately, this rule was never enforced. The grounds are beautiful and full of wildlife. We especially enjoyed seeing colorful birds, peacocks, several turtles, and even a heron wandering around the property. It gave the resort a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The food was decent, and everyone can probably find something they like. However, once you discover the dishes you enjoy, you’ll likely end up eating the same meals for the rest of your vacation because there isn’t much variety beyond that. The beach itself is large and beautiful, but there was a significant seaweed problem. During our first few days, the pier seemed to help keep some of it away, but later the amount of seaweed became overwhelming. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem to make much effort to clean it regularly. Our biggest disappointment was the room we received on the first day. It was on the ground floor and was in terrible condition. The bathroom ceiling had a large hole, the room had clearly not been cleaned properly, there were mosquitoes everywhere, and we even found large cockroaches. It was a very unpleasant way to begin our vacation. Thankfully, after we spoke with the front desk, they moved us to a much cleaner room on a higher floor, which made the rest of our stay much more comfortable. One group that truly deserves recognition is the animation team. They organized a wide variety of fun activities throughout the day and created a wonderful atmosphere. One of our favorite experiences was the painting activity, where guests could create their own artwork. It ended up being one of the most meaningful souvenirs we brought home because we made it ourselves. Unfortunately, the customer service was one of the weakest parts of our stay. Many staff members seemed unfriendly, rarely smiled, often ignored guests, and sometimes made us feel like we were inconveniencing them rather than being welcomed. Overall, we left with mixed feelings. The resort has many strengths—a beautiful location, spacious grounds, great entertainment, and a lovely beach—but the poor service, the condition of our first room, and the seaweed issue significantly affected our experience. With better customer service and more attention to maintenance, this resort could be much better.

hotel was beautiful! there were different buildings spaced out in a bright, green area, so the view from the room was very pretty. there were lots of birds around like peacocks and ducks, and there were also ponds as well as some small turtles. the beach had very nice white sand, clear water, and it was very clean even from the seasonal seaweed as it was cleaned up in the mornings. the multiple pool areas were all beautiful and relaxing. there were nice activities like aerobics and dance classes, as well as games, pool and beach parties. the spa experience was TOP TIER, with a sauna, very nice pools (both cool and warm) AND the massage and scrub i got left me floating in a cloud. beautiful facilities and great service. our cleaning people always left the room spotless and made the beds look nice with mine and my daughter’s plushies. all the restaurants we managed to get a reservation at were amazing. only reason for the four stars is the buffet as it had its days, sometimes the food was great and sometimes it wasn’t the freshest or best tasting. they had a nice cocktail list but for me the one to try is the Coco Loco. it’s so wonderful, i’ll definitely go back to have a few haha. overall 9/10 for me.

Fantastic experience here! The food is pretty good (I’m not the pickiest person). Menu à la carte is very good I highly recommend the French and Italian restaurants. Bartenders are sweet , Steven is really sweet if you ever meet him. They have activities everyday (even gave free coconuts ). There were alot of algae, but they have cleaning crews that come around 2-3 times a day to clean up as much as possible and there is a barrier built. Highly recommend!

My review of Vista Sol Resort: Vista Sol Resort is a very beautiful resort with a nice atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed the beauty of the property and the beds were very comfortable — we slept really well. When we first arrived, there were a few issues. It took about two days and multiple requests before we received washcloths. The housekeeping staff did clean the rooms regularly, and the rooms were pretty decent overall, although we did notice some hair left behind. The food was hit or miss depending on the day. Another challenge was that most of the staff did not speak English, although there were one or two team members who could communicate well. Overall, I would say Vista Sol is a good option if you’re traveling on a budget. It’s a beautiful resort with comfortable rooms, but there are some areas where the service and communication could be improved.
