We had a great stay and a very pleasant experience. The service was amazing, and the food was excellent. I especially loved the themed restaurants. The only issue I noticed was with the room cleaning. While the room itself was cleaned well, the bed was not made properly, and the bed sheets were not changed during our stay. Aside from that, everything was excellent!

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the hotel. It is by no means worthy of five stars; if I am very generous, I might give it four, but realistically it deserves only three stars. The hotel is clean, looks decent, and the staff are friendly, but that is where the positives end. Very few employees speak English, the food is average—often better in three-star hotels. Sun loungers by the pools are constantly occupied, as guests reserve them early in the morning by placing towels on them and only come to the pool after 3:00 PM. This behavior is not supervised, and the hotel staff allow it to continue. One day I even had to lie on the grass until a lounger became available. Housekeeping provided too few towels every day, and one day we did not receive any at all. It was difficult to communicate this, as the staff do not understand English. Despite leaving a daily tip of $5 or $10, we never once received additional small towels. Yesterday, the hotel was without water for half the day, which caused further inconvenience. You can imagine the condition of the shared restrooms. Overall, we were very disappointed with a hotel advertised as five-star. In other parts of the world, a five-star rating represents a completely different level of service than what is offered here.

We stayed here for a family trip and overall it was definitely worth it. Extremely safe and the resort has something for everyone. Great for families, or those looking to relax on the amazing beaches with plenty of seating, or those looking for drinks and fun. The resort has everything. The evening events were great and the resort club adds for those looking to stay up late. The restaurants serve great food, top remarks for the Mexican restaurant, but all of them or great. The buffets food is good and to standards. The rooms are what you’d expect and great for the amount of time you spend in it. It’s very safe and provides the ability to buy excursions and the the staff know which excursions are best. Only concern is some staff seem distance and appear rude and some seem annoyed when we ask for assistance. Key note is only some of them. The beach bar staff were great and awesome. Would recommend

Very fun trip. We had 5 kids under 8 and they all thoroughly enjoyed it! Yeraldine from the First Club made us some amazing drinks and provided a first class experience. The kids loved getting virgin drinks of all kinds and she took her time with them. While the food options were great, we always looked forward to a fried egg and omelette from Sasa at the main buffet. He made every kid smile and look forward to breakfast every day! Will happily return.

I stayed 3 nights here in the “Royal Level”, which is this hotels VIP area. The Royal Level rooms are just steps away from the beach and have a private section blocked off for royal level guests only with a private bar as well where premium alcohol is included. Royal Level also included a private restaurant that was available for breakfast, lunch, dinner without needing any reservations. The food at the buffet (available to all guests) was pretty good, however it was always either cold/lukewarm at best. The room was big and the beds/pillows were comfortable. However, the shower drained very slowly, so you were always showering in a small puddle of water. I have read about this issue in other reviews. My room also had a trail of red ants that I was able to trace leading from the front door to a tiny hole in the wall behind my TV. We did not stay long enough to address this issue with management as we were just focused on having fun and not spending our day making complaints to a manager. The Royal Level rooms are about a 10 minute walk to the front of the property (buffet, restaurants, night time activities, gym). So it’s a give/take. You are steps away from the beach, but far from everything else so pick and choose your priorities. They can call a golf cart to drive you to the front of the property, but it can 5-10 minutes to pick you up. This hotel has about 4/5 specialty restaurants available to everyone(Oriental, Mexican, Seafood, steakhouse), but you must make a reservation between 8am-4pm with the office. I arrived on a Monday at 5pm so I was not able to make a reservation until Tuesday morning. While making my reservation, they said all restaurants were booked for the remainder of my stay except for the Mexican restaurant on the last night of my stay. I found that to be a little ridiculous that I was here for four days and was limited to restaurant reservations. Once I arrived for my reservation at the Mexican restaurant, I was told they do not have my name on the list. I walked back to the Royal office and advised them of the issue. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and made several phone calls to I assume several different managers and was given the run around. After 1 hour of back and forth phone calls, they advised they could accommodate my wife and I at the Mexican restaurant. I also found this to be absurd because when we finally sat down, around 7pm, the restaurant had several empty tables and truly was not busy at all. Overall, the hotel was nice, the beach was very clean, but if I ever return to Punta Cana, I will not be staying here.
