Not enough words to say how impressed I was with that resort. The place is amazing. The beach was amazing.Cleaned every morning.The pool's very well maintained. My granddaughter had the opportunity to use the spa.5 or 6 girls were doing her hair.That's how great they are I will definitely come back and recommend this resortThe people are great. The food is excellent and it's one of the best experiences I've had in Caribbean resorts. For all the people that have complained it's Bologna. They just want to say something. So please ignore all the negative garbage.

Hey this is a real review. Family of 5 went for a week October 2025 Very good resort beautiful and very hard working service given there. From butler to cleaning service. Beautiful pools, beautiful beach (but strong waves) Food is great but repetitive. Be careful from food poisoning. Best part is no other resort almost has plastic cups and plastic plates which is great. Great shows But could start earlier. Like a normal places starts 8pm they start at 9 30pm Wifi is excellent Pools are beautiful but should have limits of swimming after hours like all resorts also should be cleaned during those hours. Bars are excellent all around no long lines. Rooms are standard with balcony but thin walls but it's okay. Paco the monkey is wondering around very cute. Check in takes time. Great entertainment for kids, very family friendly environment but a lot of butts shown (lol carribean style) asked for connectimg rooms but got side to side. Overall great resort for Barcelo. A little smaller lobby then usual. Great Did not for the first time use the spa because it didn't look high end as others do.. Cool gym Cool kids area Nice rock climbing Very nice fire show. Swimming pool is 4ft unlike most resorts which are about 3ft. Which makes a difference if you have kids. Wanted to give 3 stars because of food poisoning but had a great time very friendly place. Beautiful beach walk to the left like 20 minutes you will see amazing big fishes close to shore. Excellent service in this resort. 2 giant pools Price is great.

Food is terrible. Room are in a bad state. Staff only speak Spanish. The lobby bathrooms were broken half the time. We had a room just above the buffet and staff is yelling at eachother there until 1am. Impossible to sleep. We booked a ocean view but the balcony door was broken and we couldn't use it. Bars are good. Pools and beach are nice. Front desk and bellboy are very kind. Buffet staff barely look at you. Avoid this resort if you can.

the beach is kept clean, as are the general grounds and premises. But, Overall, very disappointed. I “upgraded” my ocean-front view room (which turned out to be palm trees view) upon arrival for only the flush handle of the toilet to be broken (I had to fix it daily.), The shower glass had water stains and rust everywhere, The AC was not cool enough. (26 degrees was the lowest we could keep it), the blowdryer did not work, the balcony door was extremely difficult to open. There was no wash/face cloths, or a privacy tag on the door. I can only imagine the condition of the room I had originally booked. I needed toilet paper at 7:45am, I called reception but was and told I had to wait until 9am because housekeeping is not allowed to go before then. The food was okay at best (except for the sancocho on Dominican night). There are Not enough dining tables for the #s guest on weekends (Have to line-up on to get in.) There is no general order at the bars, reception, therefore people cut in and the staff loose sight of who is next causing a lot of frustration amongst guests. This is the first resort Ive been to where I noticed very little tipping from the guests. I tipped anyway because I believe staff’s behaviour is based on leadership but some good basic service during meals would come a long way. Not only clearing tables, but drink refills, cutlery, etc. just be more attentive. Of course this is not a reflection of 100% of the staff because there are some good workers there, but overall its enough for me to have this feedback and frustration. One of the days I left a tip after my lunch at the buffet and a Hostess that was opening and closing the door for guests noticed the money on the table. She walked away from the door, waited for us to get up and then grabbed the money. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning to this resort nor will I ever recever ommend it.

Amazing, for the price rate, it's worth it. Seaweed in the first day in the sea, gave us a scary frustating feeling, but it got better as it became cleared day after. The hotels clean the bech. Lasts days was incredible with cristal clear sea water. Good variaty of daily activities with amazing vibes monitors. Small advice, bargain for everything, most street vendors charge exorbitant prices. We had a great experience with the prices offered at the hotel, even with advice to the contrary. Tax, overpriced. I found a better price on Booking.com (from $40 to $15).
