⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, our stay at The STRAT was very disappointing. The hotel is showing its age, and the air conditioning in the rooms barely works. Every night we were sweating because the room never got cool enough. Even the hallways were extremely hot, making it uncomfortable and exhausting just to walk to and from our room. One of the biggest reasons we chose this hotel was the pool. On our first day, after spending hours out in the Las Vegas heat, we returned looking forward to cooling off, only to find that both pools were closed. The next day, only one pool was open, and it closed at 5:00 PM. We arrived around 4:00 PM, which only gave us about an hour to enjoy it. It doesn’t make sense for the pools to close so early when most guests are out sightseeing during the day and return in the late afternoon wanting to relax. The larger pool was closed, leaving only the family pool available. The maintenance issues were also frustrating. The ice machine on our floor was broken, so we had to walk a long distance to another floor just to get ice. The phone in our room never worked, and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it. Housekeeping was another disappointment. We returned to our room around 4:00 PM, and it still hadn’t been cleaned. At the very least, we expected fresh towels. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. When we brought these issues to the staff, it felt like our concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. Instead of showing empathy or trying to resolve the problems, it seemed as though they simply didn’t care. Overall, this was not the experience we expected. Between the outdated facilities, poor maintenance, limited pool access, and lack of customer service, we will not be returning. There are too many other hotels in Las Vegas that value their guests and provide a much better experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend staying at The STRAT. We are leaving tomorrow morning and cannot wait!

The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, welcoming us warmly and even upgrading our rooms for a small additional fee. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cool, so our stay started off well. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn after we checked out when we were unexpectedly charged a $500 smoking violation fee without any notice. When I called, I was told my father had smoked inside our non-smoking room, which is simply not true. He only rolled his cigar in the room and went downstairs to smoke it outside. If someone had actually smoked in the room, wouldn’t the smoke detector have gone off? It never did. When we asked to see the “evidence” they claimed to have and questioned why the smoke detector never activated, the housekeeping manager became dismissive, saying she didn’t want to argue anymore. She then agreed to refund the charge and even said they would put us in a smoking room next time. If they were truly certain we violated the policy, why refund the charge as soon as we asked for proof? The front desk staff was excellent, but the housekeeping manager’s rude and unprofessional handling of the situation completely ruined our experience. There definitely won’t be a next time.

If I could give zero stars, I would. As a returning customer, I expected at least a basic standard of cleanliness and standard hospitality. What we experienced instead was a complete health hazard followed by sheer management incompetence. Right around midnight, just as we were about to head to sleep, we discovered a bed bug in our bed. Finding a live pest in a hotel room is unacceptable on its own, but the hassle that followed made it ten times worse. We had to repack all of our belongings in the middle of the night, haul everything downstairs, fill out an incident report, and then stand in line all over again just to get reissued a new room. When we finally got keys to room number two, we walked into a sauna—the AC was completely non-functional. I called the front desk and spoke with the manager, Stephon, expecting a quick resolution. Instead of taking accountability, Stephon completely brushed us off with the absurd excuse that "it's hot because it's the desert." The AC in our initial room was working cold and clear, so being patronized like we don't understand how air conditioning in Las Vegas works is insulting. Instead of immediately solving the issue or placing us in a livable room, Stephon told us we just had to sit and wait up to 45 minutes for a technician to look at it—well past 1:00 AM after a bed bug ordeal. The STRAT clearly has zero quality control, zero respect for its guests' health and comfort, and front desk leadership that actively dismisses severe problems. Disgusting conditions, broken amenities, and a management team that couldn't care less. Save your money and stay anywhere else.

Location is great. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past few years with no issues until this weekend, we got there and the first room didn’t have a real door on the bathroom, when you turn the bathroom fan on it smells like a dead animal, the phone didn’t work either. So I called front desk and asked for a room change, the man we spoke to was very rude after I had explained what had happened and he said okay great and hung up on me. We went to the front desk and got a new room. We get to the new room and we don’t notice anything for the first 2 days. In the last day my sister felt like a card or something in the bed so we look under the sheet and there is a green card, e.b.t card and lottos tickets dating to may of 2026 mind you it’s end of July. So I called and asked for new sheets I’ll change them myself. The sheets get here and there is blood and piss stains all over the mattress which I took photos of. Disgusting will never ever stay there again. The staff was very very rude and seemed to not care. The rooms we not cleaned and the sheets probably don’t ever actually get changed. Big health risk. Also I forgot to mention in the new room the mini fridge did not work and when the house keeper came they did not change our visibly dirty bedding nor did they take the trash out, we didn’t get clean towels, the only thing we got was one roll of toilet paper. DONT COME HERE!!!

Our stay at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod was a bit of a mixed experience. The location was not ideal for us. Once you get just a short distance away from the hotel in certain directions, the surrounding area feels unsafe and not very comfortable to walk around in, especially at night. Check-in took quite a long time. There is a kiosk option available, but it wasn’t very user-friendly or intuitive, which made the process more frustrating than convenient. We were able to check-out from the TV in our room but the couples who traveled with us kept getting an error message and were forced to stand in line to check-out which delayed us leaving for the airport for a 5am flight. On a positive note, the pool area was clean and the water temperature was very comfortable. The views from the pool were also beautiful, especially the mountains and palm trees, which really stood out and were a highlight of the stay. However, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt just average. There was no music or strong resort vibe in the pool or common areas, so it didn’t feel very lively. The room itself was disappointing in terms of cleanliness, upkeep and size - the room was tiny. It had a bad odor we were unable to identify but seemed very dated and maybe that smell was just old... We also found there was no microwave in the room, and ice was surprisingly difficult to locate when needed. In terms of transportation, the hotel is quite far from the monorail—about a 30-minute walk—and it is also the last stop, which makes getting around the Strip less convenient. Overall, while there were a few nice highlights like the views at the pool, and the price was low compared to other hotels in this area, the stay was just okay and we would likely choose a different location next time.
