The wifi that you pay $50/night for through the mandated resort fee is unusable. As in you literally can't even connect, and in the unlikely event you do, nothing loads. Not google maps, not email, not a website. Rooms are clean but missing a mini fridge. Management obviously discouraging having your own drinks. No ice that I know of. Carpet smells worn. Could be worse. Gym is great. Staff are pleasant. Parking garage is managed through a third party and $20/night. Views of the mountain are nice. Beds are fine but pretty springy. 3 stars is a bit generous but it could be worse. I've stayed at nicer comfort inns.

We had such a fun evening at The Strat last night! We started at the bar and played some video poker — our drinks were comped, and the cocktails were delicious. Matt, the bartender, was fantastic — super friendly and attentive. Then we headed up for dinner at Top of the World, and OMG… what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking, the food was exquisite, and the service was excellent. Truly one of those “wow” Vegas moments. After dinner, we stopped to get our player’s cards. The staff member helping us was kind and informative, offering great suggestions. We played a bit more video poker and tried a few slot machines. We didn’t walk out winners, but we had a wonderful time and felt entertained for hours. Overall, it was a lovely evening — great food, great drinks, and even better service. Highly recommend spending a night at The Strat!

Hotel is conveniently located on the Las Vegas Blvd strip & offers thrilling rides, a comedy club, a casino & a rotating restaurant. I saw the comedy show & thought it was fun & hilarious. The rooms where quite spacious & very clean. I stayed in the older rooms but was told they had newly renovated & modernized rooms. I however had quite an unpleasant check in experience. Arrived just before 12 noon & was told I could only check in at 3pm because of the type of room I booked. Came back just before 3pm & reception staff told me I had to wait until it was after 3pm not minding that I was extremely tired from the wait. On both occasions, they tried to sell me the idea of upgrading to a different room at an extra cost. Got the feeling they were all about money & not focused on customer satisfaction/experience. I get it that it's Vegas but I got a much better customer experience from the other hotels I stayed at. On the positive side, the guys at the Bell Desk were courteous & understanding when I dropped off my luggage prior to check in.

Great staff and good attentiveness, place is a little smoky and stale, and winning at any bar is few and inbetween. You'll spend a lot of money at the bar for a single drink and are much better off playing somewhere in the floor. PT has great selections of food, but opens really late after 2pm, so if you want lunch at a reasonable hour, your kind of out of luck, unless you want to spend almost $10 for a single slice of pizza. The Top of the world restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is good and the atmosphere is excellent. Rides are a little expensive for the amount of time you get, but taking a look from the outside is worth the venture to check out the city.

I travel to Vegas every year for vacation, and I try to pick a new strip hotel each time. This is by far the worst one I have stayed at, and I've stayed at Luxor. The casino floor is smaller than most casinos, with old games. Almost no food options until 4 pm when everything opens, and even then nothing follows posted hours (The Strat Cafe was breakfast only, but advertised burgers? The pizza place said they sometimes open at 3, sometimes 3:30, they opened at 4 when we went). Just walking across the casino floor we got stopped 4 times by sales people pretending to be staff ("Have you checked in already? Great would you like to see a show???"). We did self checkin to skip the line, it gives you the room card and then you have about 15 seconds to write down your 5 digit room number before the screen resets. The elevators to the rooms have no security, so we already had flyers wedged in our door before 3 hours had gone by. The rooms themselves are awful. Every hour or so there's a strong sewage smell, the AC unit sounds like its going to explode (I had to wear earplugs to sleep). We tried turning off the AC but within an hour the room was in the 80s even though outside temperature was in the 50s. The smell may have been coming from the AC because a previous visitor seems to have wedged a Marriott Hotel soap bar in the AC flaps. The bathroom has no counter space and no where to hang towels besides one hook on back of door. The soap in the shower leaves a film, and there's not even a door to the shower, just a ledge. Soundproofing is nonexistent, someone closed a door down the hallway and it rattled our headboard. The pillows on the bed are so small I think they're supposed to be for couches. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is The Top of the World restaurant. Come for dinner and do yourself a favor- leave immedietly after for a better casino.
