This was not my first stay at The Dubai EDITION. I was well aware of its flaws from a previous visit, but I decided to give it a second chance primarily because I needed to be in Downtown. While there are positives, unfortunately, many things have not improved, and some actually surprised me negatively. The Positives: * Location: Strategic and convenient. It remains a strong selling point. * Staff: A definite improvement from my last visit. Everyone was present, cordial, and helpful. Housekeeping was also impeccable. * Style: The EDITION aesthetic is there, visually pleasing as always. The Negatives (Structural): * Soundproofing: Even on the 15th floor (unlike the lower floor I had last time), traffic noise is still clearly audible. * Wear & Tear: The furniture choices haven’t aged well; sofas and armchairs show clear signs of wear. * Design flaws: Small annoyances like the AC light being incredibly bright in the dark. The Negatives (Amenities & Standards): This is where I am baffled. For a 5-star hotel in a competitive market like Dubai, basic luxuries are missing: * Minibar: Empty unless requested. This is acceptable only if compensated with high-quality complimentary snacks, which were absent. * Coffee & Water: Plastic water bottles and low-quality coffee (not even Nespresso). Not up to par. * Linens: The towels were worn thin—threadbare. Unacceptable at this price point. * Comfort: Pillows were completely deflated and overused. * Check-in: My room wasn’t ready until 5:00 PM. Making guests wait this long is poor service. While structural issues are hard to fix, the lack of investment in "soft" products (towels, pillows, amenities) is surprising. I love the EDITION brand, but I am surprised Marriott doesn't intervene here to protect the brand's reputation.

We had a fantastic stay at The Dubai EDITION. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. A special thank you to Ahmed, who upgraded us to a lovely suite and was incredibly accommodating with all of our requests, it really made the stay feel extra special. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, the rooms are elegant and comfortable, and everything felt calm, seamless, and well thought-out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend it. Looking forward to staying again soon.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Far from it We booked a one bed suite for 2 adults and 2 children. Despite having called many times to confirm the sofa bed is comfortable for an adult when we arrive it had cigarette holes and springs in your back, clearly very uncomfortable and not acceptable. We had requested a cot which we received with a 2 cm piece of flimsy foam that my daughter was meant to sleep on like she is a puppy dog not a human. I have given 2 stars as house keeping went and got her a proper mattress which I was very happy with however this should not have happened at a hotel that is meant to be 5 star. Further more there is a fridge but no mini bar. I purchased snacks and fruit for my children to realise the tiny fridge doesn't even work so I notified reception to be told, this fridge is to keep things room temp?!?!? I had to throw away 150 aed of food!!! There is no buffet breakfast just a very basic menu you can order from and the food is average. If you are looking for 5 star, this isn't it

A M A Z I N G The breakfast area indoors and outdoors is lovely. Though it is missing the buffet area, it gives the feeling of a restaurant more than a hotel which could also be seen as a good thing so that the food is not displayed left out for people to sneeze on it, if you know what I mean! Jane or Jene had made our experience with our baby at breakfast so wonderful. The service was fantastic. The rooms, though, were not so great. The mattress is worn out, the chairs show signs of excessive use, and the towels are of poor quality. Also, the baby crib mattress was horrible. The kids play area was a bit depressing tbh, the toys were broken and the room is dim and tiny. But other than that, it was a lovely experience and it is a walking distance from Dubai mall.

I am currently staying at this hotel and felt compelled to write this review before my stay is even over due to how unacceptable the experience has been so far. The rooms are not clean at all. Tables are sticky, bathrobes had gum stuck to them, and in another room there were visible coffee stains, which clearly shows a lack of proper housekeeping and attention to hygiene. To make matters worse, the valet service was extremely concerning. At one point, we were told “we don’t know where your car is”, which is completely unacceptable and alarming for a hotel offering valet parking. When we raised these issues at reception, the response was equally disappointing. The receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and had a very poor attitude, showing no sense of responsibility or urgency in addressing our complaints. What is most frustrating is that after reading the reviews here, it is clear that many guests have experienced the same issues. I truly expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, this stay has been stressful and disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel unless serious improvements are made immediately.
