Arriving here for a one night stay before leaving for St lucia. We were immediately attacked at the reception say we should have been here yesterday. Our room was disgusting. Drawers were hanging off their hinges,the fridge didn't work...it was filthy anyway you wouldn't want to put anything in it. We asked for a small glass of milk to male some tea after our long flight. We were told there was no milk. Staff were rude and unhelpful. The pool area was lovely. Sadly the rest of the place was dated. Take my advise ...book somewhere else

The hotel looks nice in the pictures online, and even looks ok when you walk through the lobby to the pool, but the rooms are a different story. Peeling paint, leaky ceilings with water stains everywhere, no blankets or spreads on the beds, minimal toiletries, and very poor water pressure. No coffee/tea in the rooms, housekeeping only every other day and they don’t always leave enough clean towels, and the front desk staff will not do anything about any housekeeping issues when housekeeping is not on site, which is before 5pm and not until after 8:30 AM. About 25% of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the rest would rather stare at their phones or laptops than help you. The breakfast staff were fine, but the food was below average and repetitive with minimal variety. Parking was adequate because the hotel was half empty and few people had cars. The onsite restaurant is only open two nights per week. There is not much shopping or dining within easy walking distance. Traffic is pretty bad at rush hour.

I am currently staying at the Sunbay hotel.....and I will say firstly that the staff is amazing, they are truly the saving grace for this establishment. This hotel needs a tru revamp..it feels like an old folks home and i do not mean that in a derogatory way its just not for the person, couple, or family looking for some energy in their stay. They say they have complimentary breakfast yet they declined to say that they ration off the portions...real eggs are a luxury.. powdered eggs and beans are served daily..the "bar" closes at 5 the restaurant is not up to par for even what many would consider to be a local dive in their neighborhood...I had no hot water...no tv..no wash cloths...just a bad first day..I was moved into another room which I was happy for. Like I said to start the staff was amazing..but the facility was not...stay to find out for yourself

- the first night I had 2 roaches in my room between a blanket -they only clean rooms with 1 day in between. -the hotel is full of cruise crew or some kind of crew (men) so expect early morning and late night people rolling their lugagges and talking loud outside your room. -Breakfast starts at 7:30 am everyday and even tho my colleagues and me, who came for a work trip, ask for breakfast to go (because we pay im advance for it) or early morning breakfast (as they do for the crew) it was denied. Reception lady on sunday 3pm was very rude. Wouldnt come back I dont recommend it . If you are thinking I might same some dollars you are going to pay it on bad client service.

This hotel has been criticised unfairly. Our Family has been cared for by lovely, genuine,wonderful staff. From reception, office, chambermaids and catering we have been looked after with the utmost of attention and loveliness. What I would like to see at this hotel are perhaps pictures of staff in the main lobby and name badges on the catering staff so we know who these persons are. The catering staff please realise you are valued and without you the breakfasts would not be so lovely. Thank you so much for making our family feel so welcomed. Thank you also the chambermaids who carefully changed our beds and tidied our rooms. Also thank you staff for opening an adjoining door so our family could go in and out of each room so easily. Really helped our special needs GranSon who felt safe knowing that his Aunty was so near in the next room. God bless you all and see you again soon. ❤️🙌🏽💕🙏🏽
