We just spent 6 lovely nights at The South Gap Hotel. It's a gem. As a bit of a complainer, I honestly struggle to find anything to complain about. Checkin was easy & efficient, took only 3 - 5min. Had help to our room with our luggage and off we went to the bar for our welcome drinks. The room was clean, had everything we needed and everything worked. What I found so nice is the warm welcome you get from the staff at all times. Our cleaning lady was awesome and was keen to work around our schedule, Sade, Nick and others at the bar and front desk were more than awesome, friendly and warm hearted. I always say, that the joy of Barbados is its people and this hotel has some of its best. The location in the gap is in the miffle of everything, with awesome street food in fron of the hotel. If looking for high-end nearby Primo was great and if a more simpler meal is tour thing, Daddy's and Sand Dollar are great and an 8 - 10min walk. You're a short walk to the local convenience store and Dover beach. I highly reccommend The South Gap Hotel.

The Hotel is very well located within St Lawrence Gap. The pool is sufficient for the number of guests and there are always sun beds available, these are the padded luxury versions. The view from the room is fantastic, it looks directly out across the ocean and turtles can be seen coming up in the morning. Rooms are a good size, the bed very large and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although the bar staff are very relaxed and could frustrate you if you are used to a quick service. The food tasty and good sized portions as well as being reasonably priced.

South Gap Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The entire property is beautifully maintained, stylish, and incredibly clean. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff—everyone was so warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. The location is flawless, the views are stunning, and the overall experience was flawless. Highly, highly recommend!

The view can't be beat. Good location with lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The restaurant and bar staff are subpar. I waited 15 mins at a table and not even a menu. I even asked the host what table. He seemed more interested in the girl at the bar. The AC unit blows hot air onto the balcony so you need to turn it off before sitting out there. Also no desk to work for those of us who work on holiday

I have been going to South Gap for significance celebrations for many years. Service was always good servers always polite. Today, was the first time I returned after they refurbished and had the most humiliating and horrible experience. My family and I booked a 5.30 pm reservation to celebrate my grandson's birthday. We arrived on property about 5.25 pm, but preparing to get the carrier and cars eat for his three weeks old brother took us some time. We got inside about 5.46 pm to see the server seating a group of Caucasian tourist at our table. He told us emphatically that we, with newborn and pram trailing that we could not be accommodated. Imagine locals were welcomed when covid was around, but not even a slight consideration for our trouble, years of patronage; just a blank no that that's the new policy. I am hurt and feel betrayed. They will never spend another cent of my hard earned cash. That was the last straw. Do right by locals. My grandmother used to say "Billy goat does want woman more than once" pick sense.
