The location of the hotel was excellent - its located at the end of the road, so its private and secluded. Overall atmosphere is amazing - you can fully relax as personell take care of everything you need. From the first moment we arrived, we were welcomed very warmly by Front Office Manager Mr Krishna. Special thanks to Mr Kamlesh - he was our waiter during dinners and the service was superb! He is kind and welcoming, always there to assist. In addition - Mr Selven took care of us, always being friendly and attentive. Also “beach/pool guys” - Rudy and his team - always welcomes you and offers everything you may need. Another mention goes to entertainment team - Mr Ivanto and his squad made those aqua gym sessions faaar from what you imagine - super energetic and playful, but also gives you effective exercises to remind that this is not a relaxation session 😅 Rooms may be a bit outdated, but they are cleaned very thoroughly, cleaned twice a day. Lots of space and all rooms with a balcony/terrace face the sea! Food - just wow! Every night its different theme buffet and the food is prepared up to highest standards. If you doubt that buffet style catering could disappoint - these chefs will change your mind. From freshly baked naan breads to fish being grilled before your eyes! 10/10 and you can fully relax, no need to think what/where to eat tonight!

Mins blowing. I stayed at Hilton Flic en flac and Lux le morne as well but Sand suites is insanely good. It is slightly smaller than other resorts but amazingly sufficient. We reached resort at 12 , entire management was there to welcome us. The room was immediately ready, check in formalities were done if the comfort of the room. Every ream is sea facing.. Amazing.. huge bathrooms. Amazing food. Breathtaking hill drop in infinity pool background.. zero negatives. Super Amazing hospitality. We had to checkout early morning at 5:30am. They arranged breakfast at the restaurant and not packed like other hotels. Awesome!!

We spent 14 nights at Sands Suites Resort & Spa on a half-board basis and overall had a wonderful and very relaxing holiday. The hotel grounds and beach are beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally well maintained. There were always plenty of sun loungers and fresh towels available, and the service around the pool and beach was friendly and pleasantly unobtrusive. Our Superior Room on the second floor was very spacious, well equipped and offered a beautiful direct sea view. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we particularly liked the large bathroom and dressing area. However, there is some room for improvement regarding maintenance and attention to detail. There was a persistent unpleasant smell in the separate toilet, one washbasin drained very slowly, and the shower area had noticeable limescale marks throughout our stay. The daily room cleaning was generally good, but some corners could have received more attention. A real highlight was the excellent food. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the themed dinner evenings were fantastic – especially the Mauritian, Indian and Asian nights. During our two weeks, we never felt the need to have dinner outside the hotel. We did find the drinks rather expensive (around €9 for a 0.6-litre beer and up to €18 for a glass of red wine). On a few occasions, we also felt slightly uncomfortable when declining additional drinks. This may not have been intentional, but we believe guests should feel equally welcome regardless of their choice of drinks. Most of the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and attentive, and our arrival was particularly warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, our departure felt quite different: when settling the bill and checking out early in the morning, we missed even a simple “Thank you” or “Have a safe journey”. After a two-week stay, a warmer farewell would have been a nice final touch. Overall, we had two wonderful weeks and would recommend Sands Suites Resort & Spa, particularly to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to relax on Mauritius. The excellent food, lovely surroundings and many friendly members of staff clearly outweigh the areas for improvement. With a little more attention to detail, the experience could be truly outstanding.

We have an amazing stay at the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially with Ruddy well looked after us by the pool and Namrata very well treated us at the restaurants. The view of the hotel is amazing, with great landscapes, and sunset is spectacular. Food was good and bar was chilled, the whole vibe was really relaxing. Highly recommended it to stay for a relaxing holiday.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars All Around Sands is a truly exceptional boutique hotel that delivers a level of personal service rarely found today. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was seamless, comfortable, and memorable. It is, without question, one of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Shortly after arriving, I realised—rather embarrassingly—that I had taken the wrong suitcase from the airport. What could have been a very stressful situation was handled with extraordinary care and professionalism by Amaury and Sunny from the concierge team. They contacted the airline, coordinated the luggage delivery, and arranged taxis for my journeys back and forth. Their dedication, efficiency, and genuine kindness went far beyond my expectations, and I remain deeply grateful for everything they did. Our room was wonderfully spacious and easily accommodated an additional bed for my teenage daughter without ever feeling cramped. I highly recommend requesting a balcony room with a sea view—the scenery is breathtaking, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot the island’s fascinating fruit bats hanging in the trees after sunset. The Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the resort, including in our room and around the pool. The buffet restaurant was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with a different culinary theme each evening—Italian, seafood, Asian, Indian, and more. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently of a very high standard. We spent much of our time relaxing by the pool, where there were always plenty of sun loungers available. Ruddy looked after us wonderfully and even cleaned our sunglasses regularly—a thoughtful little touch that perfectly reflects the hotel’s outstanding attention to detail. We also joined the morning aqua gym sessions, which were great fun and a fantastic way to start the day. The resort offers an impressive range of complimentary water activities, including windsurfing, kayaking, paddle sports, snorkelling, and glass-bottom boat trips. The activity team was consistently friendly, patient, and encouraging, making every experience enjoyable regardless of ability. Evenings were made even more special by the live jazz band. They created such a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere that I could happily have listened to them all night. It was the perfect soundtrack to a magical holiday. Sands effortlessly combines the charm and intimacy of a boutique hotel with the impeccable service of a world-class luxury resort. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for, and it is the people who truly make this hotel so special. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. I cannot recommend Sands highly enough.
