The stay was simply wonderful. We had a great room with an ocean view and were woken up by the sunrise (there were blackout curtains) and lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves crashing against the reef. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. English was no problem. For breakfast and dinner, you could choose from a menu that offered enough variety while remaining consistent. So after a 19-day stay, you knew in advance what you wanted. The staff (often Nikita and Rewa for us) was also super nice, competent, and helpful here. The bread was really awesome. The hotel owns its own bakery and this is noticeable. The hotel itself offers everything you need to pass the time while you’re there. The service here is also a particular highlight. There’s free infused water, sunscreen, lounge chairs, towels, and even an extensive range of water activities: glass-bottom boat tours, trips to snorkeling spots, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and pedal boats. Here, too, the staff were friendly and competent. The hotel itself has a spa area with plenty of options for pampering yourself. We highly recommend the signature hot stone massage. All in all, it leaves nothing to be desired.

A lovely hotel in an idyllic and very quiet location. The beach is on a lagoon, so the water was usually perfect for swimming or paddling. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and was almost without exception made from Mauritian ingredients. Special mention must go to their exclusive restaurant, Tek Tek, where a limited number of guests sit around an expert chef who cooks a delightful series of courses right before your eyes. The cocktail selection was very broad and, like the food, was themed around Mauritian ingredients. I only visited the spa once for their basic massage package, but the staff were great and very keen to see to a customer's specific needs. They had a lot of different spa treatments too, for those more interested in that sort of thing. I stayed on the hotel grounds for my whole trip, but the hotel advertised and organised plenty of excursions and experiences around the island for those who want to get out and about. Sadly, I was dreadfully lazy and didn't visit the gym, so I can't comment on that. I stayed in one of the beachfront rooms, with a wonderful view of the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean. The sunrises were gorgeous. The balcony was nicely secluded from the adjacent rooms for privacy. My room was comfortably furnished with lots of big pillows on the bed and a very decadent walk-in shower. All-in-all, I was delighted with SALT of Palmar and would recommend it to anyone!

We chose Salt of Palmar to celebrate a bachelorette getaway, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we received an exceptionally warm welcome from Mr. Dheeraj, whose hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The hotel is full of charming, Instagram-worthy corners, perfect for capturing memorable moments. We also loved the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary rosemary, sunscreen and water refill stations, which added an extra level of comfort and care to our stay. What truly stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. Their genuine kindness and dedication to ensuring guests have a wonderful experience made us feel valued throughout our stay and left us already looking forward to returning. And then there was the food-absolutely outstanding. Chef Mounien’s culinary talent deserves special recognition. A guest who usually avoids fish declared the fish dish their favourite meal, while another who isn’t fond of vegetables happily finished every bite on the plate. The passion fruit sorbet was simply unforgettable-if I could have taken a tub home with me, I certainly would have! A huge thank you to Mr. Dheeraj, Chef Mounien, and the entire Salt of Palmar team for making our celebration so memorable. If you’re looking for a beautiful beachfront escape with exceptional service, thoughtful details, and incredible food, Salt of Palmar is a destination I highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The food was exquisite, and the Mauritian menu was a delightful surprise. The dishes were beautifully reimagined with a modern twist, you would hardly believe they were inspired by traditional Mauritian cuisine. The creativity, presentation, and flavors were exceptional. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Dheeraj, Mr Rewa and Chef Moonien for their outstanding hospitality and dedication. Their passion and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable. I would highly recommend Salt of Palmar to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway with exceptional food and service.

My stay at Salt of Palmar has truly been amazing! The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I booked two Seaview rooms for my stay and requested they both be relatively close to each other. Initially one room had an obstructed view and was not a full seaview but a partial one. When I made this known to the supervisor Dheeraj, him and the team were very helpful in getting me an available room with a seaview within the next couple days. All the extra effort they went to in ensuring our stay was comfortable really made my birthday special. My parents also really enjoyed their stay. There was one night my mum fancied something that wasn’t on the menu and they made her a special dish just for her. She really appreciated it! The only feedback we had was that there could have been a largely variety of food or a daily/ weekly change of what was on the menu. We also booked the full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner), and some items on the menu were marked with astrix’s which were an extra cost outside of full board or even the all inclusive package so that leaves menu items inside the packages quite limited. Besides this, the food was carefully made, the staff are friendly and upon conversation are quite funny and warm. One lovely staff member even went around with a little spray bottle and cloth to clean the sunglasses of those lying on the beach loungers. The quality of service really made all the difference. It ok the experience of the hotel to the next level.
