The stay was simply wonderful. We had a great room with an ocean view and were woken up by the sunrise (there were blackout curtains) and lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves crashing against the reef. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. English was no problem. For breakfast and dinner, you could choose from a menu that offered enough variety while remaining consistent. So after a 19-day stay, you knew in advance what you wanted. The staff (often Nikita and Rewa for us) was also super nice, competent, and helpful here. The bread was really awesome. The hotel owns its own bakery and this is noticeable. The hotel itself offers everything you need to pass the time while you’re there. The service here is also a particular highlight. There’s free infused water, sunscreen, lounge chairs, towels, and even an extensive range of water activities: glass-bottom boat tours, trips to snorkeling spots, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and pedal boats. Here, too, the staff were friendly and competent. The hotel itself has a spa area with plenty of options for pampering yourself. We highly recommend the signature hot stone massage. All in all, it leaves nothing to be desired.

We chose Salt of Palmar to celebrate a bachelorette getaway, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we received an exceptionally warm welcome from Mr. Dheeraj, whose hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The hotel is full of charming, Instagram-worthy corners, perfect for capturing memorable moments. We also loved the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary rosemary, sunscreen and water refill stations, which added an extra level of comfort and care to our stay. What truly stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. Their genuine kindness and dedication to ensuring guests have a wonderful experience made us feel valued throughout our stay and left us already looking forward to returning. And then there was the food-absolutely outstanding. Chef Mounien’s culinary talent deserves special recognition. A guest who usually avoids fish declared the fish dish their favourite meal, while another who isn’t fond of vegetables happily finished every bite on the plate. The passion fruit sorbet was simply unforgettable-if I could have taken a tub home with me, I certainly would have! A huge thank you to Mr. Dheeraj, Chef Mounien, and the entire Salt of Palmar team for making our celebration so memorable. If you’re looking for a beautiful beachfront escape with exceptional service, thoughtful details, and incredible food, Salt of Palmar is a destination I highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The food was exquisite, and the Mauritian menu was a delightful surprise. The dishes were beautifully reimagined with a modern twist, you would hardly believe they were inspired by traditional Mauritian cuisine. The creativity, presentation, and flavors were exceptional. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Dheeraj, Mr Rewa and Chef Moonien for their outstanding hospitality and dedication. Their passion and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable. Without a doubt, the best hotel on Mauritius! Everything was simply perfect from start to finish. As vegans, we were especially impressed by the food. The vegan and vegetarian options on the menu were already excellent, and once we had tried them all, the chef went above and beyond by creating new dishes just for us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every meal was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with the perfect boutique size—small enough to feel peaceful and personal, yet offering everything you could wish for. The bakery deserves a special mention as well; everything was outstanding. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. Every single member of the team was warm, caring, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable. We felt welcomed from the very first moment until the day we left. To top it all off, the water and the beaches here are the most beautiful we’ve seen anywhere on Mauritius. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely exceptional stay from beginning to end. This is one of those rare hotels where you can feel that every single detail has been carefully thought through. Everything was beautiful, effortless, and incredibly well done. What made the experience particularly special was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly while remaining highly professional, attentive, and thoughtful. The level of service was outstanding throughout my stay. One of the absolute highlights was a cooking class with the chef. I have done cooking classes in different places around the world, and this was genuinely the best one I have ever experienced. It was personal, fun, inspiring, and something I will remember for a long time. I also loved the range of activities available — snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and much more — all complimentary, which made it so easy to enjoy everything Mauritius has to offer and made the stay feel even more special. The hotel itself is simply beautiful, with a wonderful atmosphere and an incredible attention to detail. I enjoyed every moment of my stay and honestly struggled to find a single thing that could have been better. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A truly wonderful experience, and somewhere I would return to without hesitation.
