We have stayed at the Rio quite a number of times, and must say— best bang for your buck! The beds are comfy, clean. The rooms, although sadly dated in the masquerade tower were freshly sanitized and well organized. There was space, every room we have stayed in comes with a pull out couch and a working fridge, just in case you have extra company. Lots of entertainment and fun, with some of the best prices! Even the casino has evolved from just a few months back! Pool area is still closed for the season. Only things we had to note was the A/C in our room was clearly not running cool air. The shower very much so needs an update, it took 20 minutes of running the water to reach a warm water consistency that only lasted about a half an hour. Thankfully just us two as we realized there’s a peep window in our shower. Lastly, if you are a light sleeper, I highly recommend the Ipanema tower since you have a very clear view of the active train tracks from the masquerade tower.

Don't stay here! Spend your money and time at a hotel near the strip. We stayed for a long weekend in January and this was our experience. Cons: This hotel is outdated, and even the remodeled rooms are underwhelming. The $50 "resort fee" is a money grab- there's no "resort" (since it's January and pool is closed, which is fine but waive the fee then!). The casino itself is so outdated it felt like the 1980's in there. The few restaurants we tried were good but overpriced. The front desk, specifically Patricia, was so unhelpful. Check-in line (with a human, not a kiosk) is normally very long so be prepared to wait when you arrive if you have a special request. We had no conditioners, just two shampoos in the shower. Tried to call the housekeeping line but to no avail; it was disconnected. When we told the front desk the gentleman responded, "I'm surprised you even have a phone that works!" So, yeah. That tells you all you need to know. Lastly, you have to take a cab to get to the strip. They add up quickly! Can't walk to anything other than maybe the Denny's down the street. Pros: Service from bars and restaurants was really good! Everyone was so nice and friendly. And the food was tasty. Room is SO spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The thermostat/temperature regulation was great too; we were always comfortable. The fitness center is awesome. All new equipment and nicely stocked. Overall, considering this was a $200/night stay I'd say it's a hard pass. Cons very much outweighed the few pros, the place is pretty dumpy. Don't stay here.

I’ve stayed at the Rio Hotel & Casino at least seven or eight times now, and it’s still one of my favorite places to stay in Las Vegas. I always enjoy the pool area—it’s relaxing, spacious, and never feels as packed as some of the big Strip resorts. The rooms have been recently upgraded, and they’re noticeably nicer, cleaner, and more comfortable than before. The prices are usually very good for what you get, which is why I keep coming back. It’s a great value option with solid amenities, and I’ll definitely continue staying here on future trips.

I stayed at the Rio Hotel during CES week. The two queen beds room is spacious and clean. The room is not renovated and you can see the wear and tear of the room. Despite of its age, I do find having dual sinks and a separate sink outside the bathroom area to be very convenient. The water pressure is very good. The shower water temperature was lukewarm but the maintenance crew was able to address it very promptly. I am very pleased with how quickly the hotel addressed my concern. There is a small fridge in the room and no coffee maker. The beds are comfortable and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. One issue is that there is no outlet close to the beds for any sort of charging. You will need to charge your electronics by the sofa or the desk. Overall I am pleased with my stay at Rio.

1st staying or being time here (1-17-26). Review: if you are not concerned about location. This is a good place to save a few bucks and get a good sized room. Be prepared to use lyft/Uber to get around. Doing so (averaged about $12) cost a low of $8 to be dropped off at the Bellagio and a high of $22 to be brought back to the Rio from the Horseshoe. We made 6 trips and the cost brought us close to the price we would have paid f we were to have stayed at the Treasure Island. At least we would have been on the strip. The room was big with wall to wall window. No microwave in the room which was odd. The beed was comfortable enough. The water pressure was horrible really horrible! The place looks really used: lamp shades are cracked ripped, the furniture is so scratched and peeling that it looks horrible, the couch is outdated and had a cigarette burn in it, walking in the carpet left your feet feeling odd but not dirty. As bad and old as the room felt, it was a good deal and I was okay with it. Room is less of a problem than the location is. There was this weird little 12” window that looked directly into the shower. A real peak show in your room. (Strange addition but I admit I made use of it with my wife) The food court here is really good (ramen, Philly cheesesteak, Attaboy burger) for a decent price. Avoid Guy Ferrari burrito place here! The casino floor seemed popular and people were having a good time. The reason for our visit was a Supernatural convention and I spent most of my time in the convention area which was really nice, clean, and comfortable. Get place for this event. There is a large area for sports viewing with three extreme screens and plenty of couches to sit on. The elevators were quick with small wait times. Bottom line: Hated the location and the resort fee b.s. that Vegas does ($57 a day). Liked the room size and the food options. Great conference area. Would I stay here again? No. But it’s not because of the Rio itself, it’s the location
