I didn't have high expectations due to the price and it's an older hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and in good shape. I stayed in the older tower of the hotel and had a great view of the strip. They offer free parking , which was one of the selling points for me. It's an 8 minute car ride across the 15 to the strip or a 30 minute walk. The dining options in the hotel went from chicken strip joint to higher end Asian cuisine. There's a wonderful Asian restaurant and Karaoke bar a few blocks behind the hotel that was incredible. I didn't get to take advantage of the pool at the hotel but I was impressed. I believe there are 3 pools and a lazy river. It took a while to check in but the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They do have quite a few self-ceck in/ check out kiosks but I wasn't able to utilize them to check in because the name on my ID was different than my name on the reservation. I did use the kiosk to check out and it was super fast and easy. I would 100% stay here again.

An expensive hotel with almost no actual customer service Extremely disappointing stay at the Rio. The biggest problem is the atrocious customer service. There are virtually no humans available when you actually need help. Instead, the hotel pushes you toward “Rita,” its AI/self-service system, as though a chatbot is an acceptable substitute for speaking to an actual person when you have a problem. It isn’t. The hotel was absolutely packed, yet there appeared to be one person working the entire front desk. The lineup was ridiculous, and trying to get assistance with anything was frustrating. When you have an issue, good luck finding an actual human being who can help. The lack of staffing showed up elsewhere too. We waited an entire day for fresh towels that never arrived. We were also encouraged to decline daily housekeeping under the guise of helping the environment. Maybe that sounds good on paper, but when basic service is already difficult to get, it comes across less like an environmental initiative and more like a convenient way to avoid hiring enough staff to meet demand. The pool area was another disappointment. The pool deck was littered with garbage and dirty, spilled drinks. It looked poorly maintained and neglected. None of the advertised features like waterfalls etc worked because again, they don’t have enough lifeguards to operate them. The casino staff were adequate, which was probably the highlight of the experience. The rooms themselves were fine—nothing particularly special, but perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, a decent room can’t make up for an overall experience where basic hospitality and customer service seem to be afterthoughts. And the prices are outrageous. $6 for a 600 mL bottle of Coke is difficult to justify, even by Las Vegas standards. What bothered me most was the feeling that the entire operation has been designed around minimizing human interaction and maximizing revenue, rather than actually taking care of guests. When something goes wrong, you don’t get a person you get an AI system, a self-service option, or a long wait. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and casinos, and I understand that Las Vegas isn’t cheap. I don’t expect five-star service at every turn. But I do expect basic things like clean common areas, timely towels, reasonable access to staff, and someone willing to actually listen when there is a problem. The Rio needs to decide whether it’s actually in the hospitality business, because this stay didn’t feel very hospitable. Very disappointing, and unfortunately I wouldn’t choose the Rio again.

This was the first place I ever stayed when visiting Vegas in 1993. It was good to know that it didn't still look like that by way of dated rooms and dated Casino floor, they did a good job of keeping up with maintaining things that needed to be maintained. If you like the atmosphere of Las Vegas in the 90s I suggest visiting here. The only thing that I wish they would have kept from back in the 90s is the prices of cigarettes. Just to give you the heads up they are sold in their little market for the low price of 24.00 for one pack. So my only suggestion is you might want to stock up before you go there if this is something you indulge in worst case scenario there's a Walgreens right across the street where you can just about cut the price in half. You will find that you are treated well from my experience if you are a gambler and you have a host you will actually be able to see them unlike some of the places on the Strip who are doing their best job at virtual host. Make sure you call in advance to find out but my personal experience is even if you are told by people in the cage they don't match whatever level you are at a different Casino you might be pleasantly surprised at their matching level. And for those of you that like shows they have been able to keep up with some of the top talent in the business whether you like music or magic or multitude of other things. So if you like Vegas but you don't want to be on this trip I would suggest this is a great place to go for a little bit of what it felt like 30 years ago. Gabriella was one of the best hosts you could get.

The experience was great. Firstly, the front desk concierge lady, Patricia, was very enjoyable and helpful at getting us checked in. I had two separate reservations (because I had a reward night and regular) and she assisted me in putting both nights in the same room and set my credit card up for both so I didn't have to check out and check in again. She also gave me waters and told me there was a VIP check-in I could use next time. The room was beautiful and clean and the beds were comfy. The pool was nice with a 21+ side with hot tubs that were quite nice. We got discount tickets at the box office to see the shows because we were hotel guests. There was a food court on the ground floor and lots of walkable stores nearby outside of the hotel. Parking was free. It was my first time staying at Rio and I am pleased.

Love the location but the AI managed front desk needs a lot of work. 1. The AI somehow hasn’t gotten many requests fulfilled.. late check out? Towels ? These things we ended up having the call the front desk. I don’t see the point of AI if things never actually come they just get tracked as a call it answered. Everyone was pleasant and helpful when we got a human involved but the fulfillment of the automation needs to be worked on. The location is great lots of good food close by so you aren’t stuck with the strip. It’s close enough to the strip where if you’re driving it’s 5 minutes and if you’re walking it’s walkable. The renovated rooms are the best part! Really clean!
