The Golden Nugget Las Vegas off of Fremont Street is a really great hotel to stay in if you're going to this part of Las Vegas. I had never been and decided to try it at least once. It's not my favorite part of the trip. It's probably the worst part of the trip, but the hotel was amazing. The room that we selected was incredible. It was in the rush tower and had 1.5 bathrooms, updated furnishings, a much brighter room than the typical rooms at Golden Nugget, it was a corner room with lots of Windows! There were two entrances. It was a beautiful suite! You had a huge living room on one side with a kitchen and a huge bedroom with a huge sitting area on the other side. It was just a very beautiful room! I will say that we ate at the saltgrass in the hotel the first night and it was truly delicious and the wait staff and everyone there was super kind. I would like to mention that for a hotel of this size I found the pool extremely small and the fact that the highly advertised shark tank in the middle of the pool was closed or drained or I don't know what they were doing with. It made it incredibly less flattering. The clientele is something that you would normally see off of Fremont Street which I think is very different from the clientele of the strip. But like I said, if you like this area of Las Vegas, this would be a great place to stay but only if you get this particular room because we did see some others and I think the colors are very outdated. Rooms here tend to be very dark and dungeon-like and for someone who prefers bright and well-lit areas then the suite that we got was perfect! One particular thing to note is that if you prefer quiet hotels, I would be a little weary about staying at this hotel because since it's right on Fremont, you can hear the bass and the people talking on loudspeakers because Fremont Street has a party atmosphere, which is great if you like that kind of thing or if you're not bothered by that kind of thing, but if a base bothers you then I don't think this would be a good place for you. They do give you ear plugs. They supply you with ear plugs in your room. So that was great. I can tell you that I am very sensitive to noise and it kind of bothered me at first but they don't play all night. So if asked if I would stay here again I guess the more appropriate question would be would I ever stay off Fremont Street again? And my answer would be no. I didn't really care for the environment off of Fremont but the hotel was okay!

Mine and my husband’s phones were stolen from the Golden Nuggets “ secure “ pool. Instead of trying to assist either of us, they handed us off to “ hotel security “ to another “ hotel security “ etc. My husband and I got separated during this fiasco, I was left with no shoes, only my swimsuit ( apparently my shoes and coverup were stolen also) because I had no ID or room key , staff refused to assist me. I gave them my name, my room number, the card on file was in my name not my husbands, still refused to assist, they would not call Metro police for me, I asked several individuals from the staff to at least call our phones, they lied said they did. Cell phone carrier confirmed that no one from hotel called either of our phones during this timeframe. The staff allowed me to wonder without a phone, shoes, or appropriate attire for hours in the lobby looking for my husband. Missing a wedding as well, and the staff was aware this is why I was in town staying at their hotel. It was several hours later and more than a dozen times being told by the hotel staff they filed a report within hotel and nothing more anyone could do for me. Apparently my husband was also being told this as well, HE had to go on a chase locating the phones with “ find my iPhone future “ from another device without assistance from hotel. With this horrible experience, I would like to point out that there was one ONLY ONE individual from this hotel who helped significantly in the locating the phones and continued to help me navigate through this experience. He was the Hotel night shift manager of security. Once he became involved that night, things quickly turned around. I am extremely grateful for “ MICHAEL “ head of hotel security at the Golden Nugget.

I come a few times a year and last visit decided to try out Golden Nugget. Had such a phenomenal time that I rebooked a month later. When I booked back in September, I called to verify the pool would be open. I was told it would be. Booked for a week. This was a special trip as it was my anniversary and I was proposing. We arrive to find out the pool is closed for the whole week we were there. Some kind of communication would've been nice. Very disappointing as we planned to spend alot of downtime relaxing in the pool. On top of that, the toilet in the room we were in did not work. You had flush multiple times for anything to go down. It couldn't even flush TP on one go. Dealing with that for a week was not great. Add to that, my new fiance and I were hoping to work out together. We get there and were told she was not in proper gym apparel. Shes brought her normal gym apparel. A tennis skirt (which has compression shorts under) and a normal gym t-shirt. She didnt want to have to buy new clothes when there should have been no issue. I ended up working out alone and saw so many women with only small compression shorts and a sports bra. How is that OK but a tennis skirt is not?? Maid service was nice and food reservations we had in the nugget were also very good. I doubt anything will come of this but I felt compelled to say something. It's upsetting what was supposed to be a memorable week ended up being weighed down by a bad stay.

Love love love this property! We stayed in the Rush tower and I can’t recommend it more. Large renovated rooms, couch area, beautiful remodeled bathroom, and a mini fridge (which. I love). There could have been a few more outlets, but otherwise the room exceeded our expectations! The restaurants were also great! We had a chance to eat at the steak house and appetizers from Chart house. We’ll definitely be going to the noodle house when we come back! Staff was great, friendly and accommodating. You can’t beat the location if you’re looking for a new Vegas adventure on Fremont!

I stayed in Gold Tower room 1206. The room view was OK. Hotel service was great- We arrived a little early and when the computer system said our room wasn't ready yet, a person used their computer to find us a room that was ready immediately. That was very helpful. All the Staff we interacted with were perfectly kind, helpful and professional. My big problem with the room was the opaque bathroom door. This is an insane choice. Look at my pictures of how the bathroom light illuminates the entire bedroom by itself. If you have to use the bathroom at night you will wake up your partner, that is how bright it is. There's no soft light in the bathroom. It's all or nothing. I ranked the location of the GN as 4/5 because it depends on what you're doing. On previous trips I stayed on the strip and visited locations on the strip. This time I went mostly off-strip for entertainment and food. There are plenty of eating and entertainment options within a walk or short ride of the GN. I highly recommend walking to the Broken Yolk for breakfast. While you could walk to the Vegas Premium Outlets, it's worth the ride and it's a much more leisurely and clean shopping experience than on-strip. GN was very good as an off-strip option. I don't think the pool was sanitary. I am from a resort town, I've worked in resorts and I've traveled quite a bit. I know when pool water doesn't smell quite right. My wife shaved her legs then went into the pool. Then she developed an infection on her leg. We cannot think of any other vectors of the infection. When she was in the pool, I went over to test the water with my feet but I didn't like the way it smelled so I didn't go in. Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt as I cannot prove anything, but that's my opinion.
