I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I would especially like to mention Szűcs Vivien, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful during my stay. She went out of her way to assist with any questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service really stood out and made a great impression. Thank you for the great hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. We really enjoyed the facilities, especially the indoor and outdoor gym, and treated ourselves to some relaxing spa treatments. The range of activities was impressive—we took part in pilates sessions and dance classes, which added a fun and active element to our stay. There was plenty to keep both adults and children entertained, with great activities and entertainment available. The food was also a highlight—delicious, varied, and well-prepared. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel with something for everyone. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.

We spent ten days at R2 Rio Calma in April, and overall it was a relaxing and visually stunning place to unwind, especially if you’re looking for peace, sunshine, and beautiful surroundings. The first thing that stands out is the unique colonial-style design and architecture - the hotel feels almost like a grand resort from another era, with impressive interiors and lush, tiered gardens overlooking the ocean. Walking through the grounds, with palm trees, fountains, and sea views, was easily one of the highlights of our stay. The pool area is fantastic, with large outdoor pools and even a lagoon-style swimming area with a small man-made beach, which gives the place a really special atmosphere. Even in April, the weather was perfect for relaxing by the pool, and the setting felt calm rather than overcrowded. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony that made it easy to enjoy the views and fresh air. Most rooms are designed to maximise natural light and sea views, which definitely adds to the overall experience. The hotel has a good range of facilities including a spa, gym, and multiple restaurants and bars, so there’s always something to do without needing to leave the resort. Breakfast and buffet options offer plenty of variety, though like many large resorts, the food can feel a bit hit-or-miss depending on the day. One of the biggest positives is the peaceful atmosphere. It’s not a party hotel—much more suited to couples or anyone looking to properly switch off and relax. That said, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The hotel is slightly isolated, about a 20–30 minute walk from the main beach and town, so you may need a taxi if you want to explore more. Also, parts of the hotel feel a little dated, and service can occasionally be inconsistent during busy periods. Overall, we had a really enjoyable 10-day stay. R2 Rio Calma is ideal if you value beautiful surroundings, relaxing vibes, and great pool areas over ultra-modern luxury or a central location. It’s the kind of place where you can truly disconnect and enjoy a slower pace of holiday.

The hotel wasn’t bad, the beach club in the hotel (which you have to pay for) even if you’re all inclusive and the buffet restaurant are the only things that aren’t dated. The safe in your own room you have to pay €4 a day which is cheeky and even more cheeky one thing that will make me never return is they cut your all inclusive off at 12:00pm even though our transfer was at 6:30pm they cut you off at 12:00pm your can’t get any drinks not even water or any food (you get a wristband that you have to tap every time you want a drink or food so yeah didn’t like the concept of that! If you want just an extremely relaxing (cheap) holiday definitely come if your wanting more stuff going on inside and outside the hotel I wouldn’t come. Costa calma wasn’t that pretty when we ventured out, but it does have one cute outdoor market with a bar in the middle. But yeah all inclusive are definitely soo much better in Turkey and Greece and anywhere else to be honest.

Good all includive and the entire resort was just spectacular! Didn’t want to leave. The jet2 holidays package was perfect for 4nights 5 days all inclusive with cariety of food in all inclusive, however with limited vegetarian options. Christmas food was amazing! The facilities were mindblowing throughout the resort specially the private lagoon ( not included in price, beeded extra payment but worth it) the infinity pool was what took our breath away! Fab christmas overall! Good crowd, friendly staff and beautiful management of property. There is an open gym, plenty of tea coffee area eith amazing sea facing views, yoga centre, badminton / tennis courts, 4 big swimming pools.
