All of our cash was stolen from our hotel room. At reception, we were told that nobody except us and the hotel staff had entered the room. Guests are being robbed while the management turns a blind eye to it. I regret not reading the reviews earlier, because I am clearly not the first person whose cash was stolen from the room. After the theft, I was honestly scared to stay in the room because it became obvious how easy it was for someone to get inside. The key card for our room constantly stopped working, and we had to go to reception again and again to reactivate it. The man at the reception desk was very rude and did not even apologize. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was good, but that does not make up for the terrible experience. The refrigerator was dirty, there was mold on the bathroom window, and the bed linen was never changed — the staff only made the bed without replacing the sheets. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never return.

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place so I’d like to share my experiences . The food is lovely and very worth the all inclusive me personally I’m really picky but their lunch / meal options are delicious . They have changing rotations of food every night . Although the food changes they’res always fresh pizza and chip with amazing salad option s and many choices of breads as well as some nights having a great selection of seafood including fresh prawns and oysters (great for sea food lowers as amazing options ) . They have ice cream which is delicious and creamy . The entertainment is quite good for younger ages and some nights older . The entertainment team is kind funny and helpful along with the rest of the staff . One problem though is we did notice after the cleaners had been out charger our wasn’t their which we still dont know weather was an accident or not we went to the shop to discover their 40 euros other than that great workers . The pools are great as one of the main 2 is heated and the other isn’t so you can change depending on how you’re feeling . Also just want to make sure for anyone reading this who is considering booking the slides are quite slow for anyone over the age of 12 due to them not being powerful enough and quite slow at that age due to ruff weight . Our only complaint is our room is quite far witch seems to be a different hotel or apartment complex merged into the SBH one which is quite the walk to meals but it’s quiet and mainly our fault as we booked a suit instead of a room but would have preferred some warning when booking . Also theirs a bus stop to the zoo really easy accessible and i would recommend the zoo 100% . Overall great food , great service , close to the beach and o would recommend to anyone planning on booking !!

Staff at reception are rude (pretend to not understand English). Issues with room being inadequate for young children bricks flaking unstable balcony glass, staff at reception or management wouldn't change our rooms. We had to call easyjet from our mobiles to demand a room change as it wasnt what we paid for.They then changed our room 1 day later. This made it a bad experience for us. Rooms are cleaned in the daytime beds made but no clean sheets all week. Wouldn't return to this hotel. Cockroach was seen at reception. Nothing to do outside of the hotel no excursions.

Was there 3 weeks ago in room 500 which is a good walk from all the amenities, the rooms are large and clean but in need of updating, the rails in the wardrobes we're really rusty and the living room had damp on the wall. The hotel itself is lovely with plenty of sunbeds, food is good if a little cold (but aways a microwave) drinks are good and barstaff very efficient entertainment on a night was quite good all in all a good holiday

Coata Calma is a lovely resort with a stunning beach, however, bit of a trek so look into transfers first. Hotel is good in some parts, excellent in others. Firstly, the dining room staff, the food & the restaurant layout were all excellent. Loads of choices, eat inside or out & not banging elbows like some hotels. The staff were very pleasant & helpful & always a welcoming smile. The bars & barstaff, again, very good & pleasant. Spent alot more time in the pool bar as it was more relaxed & not one for being stuck inside. Didnt go to any entertainment so cannot comment on it, however met some people who did & said it was very hit & miss. Pools are very nice & the animation team do try hard but not too much interest in what they were doing. Rooms, fine, didnt find any issues & slept well. Overall, a nice hotel in a nice location, but....... my issues were as follows :- Very few English speakers both staff & other guests which made it a little bit difficult to mingle as a Solo traveller. One for beach lovers if that is your thing.
