This hotel is 50 years old, however ALL of the communal areas are top class and bang up to date, they must have been refurbished. Our room was huge with a great sea view balcony however it was a little dated. Despite being large, only the pool area got busy, the rest of the resort offered many and varied areas to sit or lie down for relaxation. The beach beds are the most comfortable we've known. The selection of food on offer was amazing and it changed every night by the theme of the day, we were spoilt for choice during breakfast.

Brilliant stay at the Olympic Palace Hotel in Ixia, Rhodes. I'd highly recommend this hotel for an all-inclusive break in Greece. My girlfriend and I came here for a 10-day stay and absolutely loved it. It also became even more special as I proposed to her while we were here! **The Hotel & Facilities** The hotel is almost 50 years old, but you'd never know it. It feels modern throughout, especially the lobby, restaurants and rooftop bar. Access in and out is easy, with mini golf, a pizzeria and beach access at the front. There's also a padel court, giant chess board, gym, spa and a few small shops. A lovely garden area leads to the pools and pool bar, where the snack bar serves everything from late breakfast through to early dinner before becoming one of the evening restaurants. The lifts are a little small and can get busy, but we never had to wait long. **The Room** Our room was excellent—spotlessly clean, spacious and kept cool throughout our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we definitely enjoyed a few lie-ins! We had a sea view balcony on the 7th floor with fantastic views towards Rhodes Town and even the Turkish coastline. My only small criticism would be the shower controls, which were easy to knock while showering. **The Food** The food was excellent with plenty of choice at every meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all offered a wide variety, whether in the main buffet or the poolside snack bar. Dinner could get a little busy around 7pm, but queues moved quickly and there was always a themed section alongside the usual options. The desserts were also much better than you typically get at an all-inclusive. **Staff** Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Check-in was smooth and informative, and the restaurant staff worked incredibly hard. Drinks service could occasionally be a little slow during busy periods, but nothing that spoiled our holiday. **Bars & Drinks** The local beer was good, the cocktails were decent, and I'd definitely recommend the vodka slushies from the pool bar! The rooftop bar was a great place to spend the evening with fantastic views, live music and entertainment. **A Few Tips** * The €3 bus outside the hotel takes you straight into Rhodes Town and near the Old Town. * Turn left out of the hotel and walk five minutes to Glory Days FBI Sports Bar for good beer and a great atmosphere. * Le Gourmet, just down the road, is well worth a visit for authentic Greek food. * Hiring a car is a great way to explore the island—we used Speedway Car Hire just down the road. Overall, we had an amazing stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Olympic Palace Hotel. We'd happily return.

I will always leave a review of a hotel/holiday as it’s important when spending literally thousands and on a holiday. Hotel itself is great. However, do not book Mountain View. It’s a wall very close to your balcony, not a mountain in the distance and also you get a view of all the staff on their breaks looking down. It’s crap and ruined our balcony/room experience. Pay to upgrade as it’s worth it. The hotel itself is a good 4 star not 5 but the food is fantastic. Towels for pool and beach are great and sunbeds can’t be reserved however if you get to the pool past 10 am your not getting a bed. Pools as well are soooo busy, too busy for us so wouldn’t come again but some don’t mind that. There’s clearly more people than sunbeds and space. Overall it’s good, lots of bars and restaurants near by as well.

We went to the Olympic palace in Rhodes from the 21st July/31st July 2026. This was our second time in Rhodes for a family holiday. We see the Olympic palace hotel 2 years ago while staying at the Akti Imperial, four hotels up the road. Upon arrival we were greeted at reception & checked in quickly. First impressions on the room was, this is not the room we booked. We had booked the superior family room with a sea view (we was over looking the pool area) and the room looked totally different to the photos. Down to reception first thing to explain this, we was quickly told that it was the Superior family room, just a different shape. I explained that i measured the room and it was a lot smaller than what was advertised and looks nothing like the photos. They never even took in to account that we booked a sea view. We was offered a room change and was taken to the room to see it. This was the correct room to what we had booked. In this room (233) they are very spacious, how ever very dated. There is no plugs near the mirror or dressing table, so my wife and daughter had to stand on the other side of the room while styling their hair. we then went out and brought 4x 1.5 m extension leads so they reached the vanity area. (the only sockets are by the main bedside) The bathroom is dated and there is mould in-between the grouting on the tiles. The pool area opens at 10 am and you are not aloud to reserve beds, you can go to the pool area from 9am and sit on the beds, however if you leave the girls from the spa (who watch the area) Remove the towels and put them near the life guard station. There was six of us on holiday, we all went to the pool area at 9:15am put towels down and then myself and wife wanted the toilet. I was told we had to take towels with us, i explained that we was just going to use the toilet and the others was staying. The young lady got quite abrupt, so it was a simple case of we are going to the toilet do not touch our towels. This was reported to reception and was then told it was ok to leave our towels. The pool area is way too small for the size of the hotel, the sun beds are crammed in so much you struggle to get on and off the sun beds while trying to not fall on the stranger next to you. The pools are absolutely freezing( never experienced anything like this before) there was a couple of days where myself I never used the pools. WASPS: There are a lot of wasps around the area, especially near the empty cup station, and the pool side bar is horrific. Our friend got stung. if you are allergic to wasp stings take precautions with you. The bar area on the roof top is small but nice. one night we was drinking a few baby guiness shots, then the next night we was not aloud them on all-inclusive due to the hotel removing them from the menu because they was to expensive, so the waiter told us. The bar down stairs was nice and quiet. The food at this hotel was good, good selection and an English breakfast in the mornings. we only used the Italian restaurant out of the three we could book and it was ok not great. The crazy golf, computer room and Escape room are all charged at an extra cost. On our last night the day before we flew home, my wife slipped in the bathroom and split her head open on the tiled floor. I quickly phone down to reception to get a trained first aider, I was told that there was no first aider on site and could my wife walk to the pharmacy where a doctor would be, (15 min walk from the hotel) With a bleeding head a huge lump, couldn't walk properly and it being 31 degrees outside i told them to get a doctor up to my room. The lady from reception came up with a bell boy, stood there and said i can get a doctor but it will cost you £150 euros. The Doctor came sprayed it with an anti bacterial spray, wasted our time and took the money. He then wanted to come back in the morning to check her and charge us another £150 euros. He was cancelled and we went to the pharmacy and got our own spray until we got back to the uk. At no point did the hotel ring up to our room to see if my wife was ok.

Not 5* service and not a family Hotel. From check-in, the reception staff were unfriendly. We also reported a problem with our room safe, but it was never fixed. The food was one of the highlights, with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. However, the service in the restaurant was poor. We travelled with our young son and had to find our own high chair every day- even though we were served by the same waiters. Staff never helped make space at the table. Morning coffee was never offered and the couple of days we requested the coffee arrived lukewarm and served in half-empty jugs. Drinks at dinner also took a long time. We've visited a couple Greek islands now and are used to staff being very welcoming to children, but here it felt like they didn’t want children. The mini disco is held on the tennis court away from the hotel and bars, and isn't much of a disco. Check-out annoyed me. Our room card stated a 12pm check-out, but at 11am a member of staff knocked on the door and told us the card was wrong, asking us to leave within 15 minutes. It was handled rudely, and no one even offered to help with our luggage. If your cards are printed wrong they should be amended or a note left in your room. It should not be done on the day. The hotel's best feature is its location, right on the beach with plenty of shops and bars nearby. Just be aware that the beach is pebbly and the sea can be quite rough. BOOKED VIA TUI - complaint made and they accept no liability.
