My stay at Lopesan Baobab Resort was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations in every possible way. The culinary experience was outstanding. The quality of the food, the variety offered, and the attention to detail were of an exceptionally high standard. Equally impressive was the restaurant service, which was consistently professional, attentive, and delivered with genuine warmth. The service throughout the hotel deserves special recognition. The reception staff and bellboys were absolutely exemplary, efficient, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a seamless and pleasant stay. In addition, the Guest Relations team was consistently available and highly dedicated, playing a key role in making the overall experience both smooth and memorable. The hotel’s surroundings are nothing short of breathtaking. The architecture, atmosphere, and overall design create a unique environment unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It truly feels like stepping into another world. In every aspect, Lopesan Baobab Resort delivers excellence. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious, distinctive, and unforgettable experience.

We’ve just returned from the most fantastic stay at Lopesan Baobab, and it genuinely exceeded expectations. The entire resort is stunning – beautifully designed, immaculate throughout, and packed with character. Every corner feels like a little escape, with gorgeous pools, lush surroundings, and plenty of space to relax. The staff deserve special mention: friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Nothing ever felt too much trouble. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Breakfast and dinner offered an excellent choice each day, with something for everyone and great quality across the board. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the whole place felt really well run. The location is ideal too – just a short stroll to the beach and close to shops and cafes, yet still peaceful once you’re back inside the resort. All in all, it’s one of the best holiday hotels we’ve stayed in. We’d absolutely return and happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Maspalomas.

Nice but wouldn’t return. It’s not a 5 star hotel. 4 at best. it’s just the service/staff that particularly let it down. The actual hotel is on a stunning level, it’s beautiful and cannot fault the architecture. Reception/checkin all lovely. Booked for the Al la carte restaurant as it gets busy, arrived at said booking time and didn’t have our table at all! then said i booked for 8.45pm and not 7.45 which is a lie because we had small children and i know what i booked. had to wait to 8.30pm for a table. Then it just really went further down hill, my husband has a nut allergy, quite serious. He was told that he could have a hummus and the lamb, they were safe. Hummus came NUTS all over. Lamb came NUTS all over. we obvs complained and the manager said he would take a wine off the bill but we were not allowed to eat there again. HA! ok well we won’t ever be coming back so that fine, but just a rude thing to say to a guest who has done nothing wrong. Most of the staff are pleasant, the breakfast staff not so much, they literally treat you like sheep. We ate at the buffet first night, the waitress made us pay for our drinks when ordered at the table (even though we provided our room number and door card which links to our room) which was just bizarre and also told i couldn’t take the wine i ordered to any other part of the hotel, it had to be drank at the buffet restaurant. Just bizarre! so had to pay for the drinks upfront, then pay for the buffet and then couldn’t leave the table until our drinks were finish. in the end i left with my wine and sat in the entertainment area to enjoy the show, at that point if anyone followed me i couldn’t care less. A coffee machine in the room or just a kettle would make a big difference and a full length mirror would also be great. Good points are super handy in location, lots of pools and you can walk the grounds without feeling like there’s so many people, the pool staff are lovely, great entertainment in the evening, the rooms were spacious, beds comfy and view was great. Oh and the lady in the clothes/jewellery shop onsite, not so nice either! Such a shame that staff/service let it massively down, we won’t recommend to others but somehow i don’t think that will affect them so much. it looks busy all year round.

Terrible hotel in every way! Do yourself a favour & dont book here. Stayed first week in Jan, it was absolutely freezing! The whole hotel was like a wind tunnel, the room was soo cold, we had to beg reception for an electric heater & get a second duvet. - when I say beg they were very reluctant to provide a heater, probably due to cost. Rooms extremely tired, very old, need a total refit. Husband within 2 days of checking in had developed flu, it was that cold. No english TV channels work despite reception saying they would send someone to fix the tv, only to then back down & admit the english channels didnt work - maybe not paid for? The rooms are ridiculously dark, had to ask for an extra floor lamp and the lighting in our wardrobes didnt work so had to try & unpack in the pitch black. Came back to our room to find an engineer had taken out ceiling panels to try & fix the lights. We had to unpack our entire wardrobe & repack again once he had gone - not having fixed the problem 100% . Breakfast is chaotic, you have to queue to get inside. Hot food is barely luke warm, the coffee is awful, as is the service. Screaming toddlers in high chairs throwing food all over the floors, and this food isnt cleared up between diners. Terrible hygiene standards in the buffet. Pools are absolutely freezing - was told they are heated - no chance! Soo cold - reception tried to fob me off to say its because the weather was terrible.......what an excuse the pools are either heated or not! Nothing to do with the weather. Ordered room service on the first night of my husband getting flu, you pay on arrival when they deliver the food, when we came to eat it, it was stone cold - no wonder because the corridors are like wind tunnels. Many many other negatives about this terrible hotel. I've started a formal complaint with the tour operator it was that shocking. Do not book. UPDATE- got the standard reply from hotel reception which they send to everyone who complains - standards not what they expect, will try to use feedback to improve etc etc. Having read lots of reviews the same things keep coming up, hotel freezing, rooms freezing, pool freezing, rooms dark, poor food. You'd think they would actually acknowledge this hotel has several problems & fix them, but no, they just hide behind issues.

A truly unique hotel. It is beyond our expectations in terms of design. It was built in 2009, as it shows a bit (the TV was not smart, but you can mirror the phone), but it depends what you are looking for. It features many pools (two of them are like hidden gems, as they are a bit remote and more quiet). The breakfast was tasty, many options to choose from, no complaint there. You need to wait to be seated and after 9 am you might need to wait a little longer, still not too much. The staff was friendly enough and smiley often. The buffet dinner was good, if you eat there every night you might get bored. We got only 3 dinners (they have an offer, one dinner= 45 euros per person or 3 dinners = 32 euros per person without drinks) and it was enough. There are many restaurant options in the area. There was some entertaining every night, some more "attractive" than others, but all in all a good plus. There are also day activities for adults like aqua gym, pilates and also for kids. And yes there are a lot of kids, so it can become noisy at the restaurants or around the pools. The prices at the bar and a-la-carte restaurants were fair, nothing too pricey. Overall, a hotel worth the stay. Enjoy!
