After a fresh new renovation, the Urban Lounge Pool Terrace at InterContinental Dubai Marina has reopened and it’s a lovely spot for a relaxed pool day in the Marina. Designed as a sophisticated urban retreat, the refreshed space has elegant cabanas, lush landscaping and panoramic Marina views, with a relaxed but refined atmosphere that takes you from daytime lounging into the evening. We started with an iced latte, which was the perfect cooler before settling in for the day. Breakfast is available until 12pm, but we held out for lunch and went for the classic chicken Caesar salad. It was packed with fresh baby gem leaves, just the right amount of Caesar dressing and plenty of tender sliced chicken. We also tried the crispy katsu chicken burger, loaded with coleslaw and topped with sriracha mayo, served with fries and all the classic condiments on the side, which was a nice touch as I usually have to ask! Both were really generous portions and perfect for keeping you fuelled for an afternoon around the pool. The pool is known for becoming shaded after around 2pm during parts of the year, but throughout summer there’s plenty of sunshine across the day. There are also lots of beds and cabanas with shaded options if you’d rather escape the heat. The Pool Day Pass runs from 9am to 6pm and is excellent value as the full admission price is redeemable against food and drinks - AED 149 weekdays and AED 199 weekends. They also offer a Night Swim daily from 6pm to 9:30pm for AED 149, again fully redeemable on food and beverages. For a Dubai Marina pool day, particularly with the entire entry fee going towards your food and drinks, we thought it offered really good value. Great portions, a beautiful newly refreshed setting and plenty of options whether you want a full day by the pool or an evening swim. Shout out to Habib and Ali for looking after us so well.

This was a lovely stay for us. A fine hotel in this beautiful place that is Dubai Marina / JBR, this hotel provides great cleanliness and general state of living. Magnificent view of the outside and impeccable room service, and even through renovations the hotel has successfully tried to provide us great service. Special mention to Mr. Pyae for his effort to ensure we have a smooth breakfast experience. The breakfast was lovely, and here too the staff was great. I would definitely recommend this experience.

In the current conflict situation, we felt ourself in the best place in the city. The hotel is luxury, absolut safe with the own shelter, the restaurant and the foods are huge and premium quality, the hygiene is fantastic, but the best is the hotel stuff. In this situation EVERYBODY was calm, professional, nice and helpfull, they were there for us, with all of our questions, problems, we felt ourself absolutely in good hands. Thank you Beth for your genuine goodwill and smile in the hardest moments. I recommend this hotel with full of my heart.
