We had the most wonderful stay at this resort. Every moment was unforgettable, and we truly spent some of the happiest days here. The beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and warm atmosphere made our vacation perfect. The resort’s location is absolutely perfect, offering a beautiful and peaceful setting surrounded by stunning nature. The value for money is excellent considering the quality of service, facilities, and overall experience. There are only two areas for improvement: First, the breakfast could be enhanced with more variety to match the resort’s high standards. We would like to thank the hard-working, hospitable, and attentive team at Heritage Le Telfair for a wonderful stay this past week. The resort is a well-managed operation that delivers a seamless experience, around the clock. Guests are spoiled for choice, from the wide variety of both complimentary and supplementary activities to the exceptional gastronomy. The rooms are some of the largest square-footage you can find at this price point, perfectly set among colonial-themed architecture and the raw, natural beauty of Bel Ombre. Prior to our arrival, I informed the guest experience team that we were celebrating my partner’s birthday. The team (overseen by Guest Experience Supervisor “France”, along with our dedicated butler, “Premi”, and the wonderful restaurant staff across the domain) went above and beyond to make the occasion, and our stay, extra special - at no additional charge. They arranged a bespoke beachfront dinner at sunset, a romantic room decoration complete with complimentary gifts and drinks, and arranged a sweet birthday cake, baked to our taste and preference. A stay at Heritage Le Telfair is a complete, 360-degree luxury experience and one that will live long in our memories. We were incredibly sad to leave, and we thank the entire team for a truly magical stay.

There were a few positive aspects of our stay. The spa massage experience was good, and we also enjoyed the heated pool, which was a nice addition and especially convenient for families. However, overall the experience did not match the expectations created by the very positive Google reviews. I stayed with my one-year-old child and chose the Half Board option. One challenge was that most of the included restaurants operated as à la carte instead of buffet style. In many cases, food preparation took a very long time, which became difficult when traveling with a young child. The restaurant service was one of the most disappointing parts of the stay due to the lack of professionalism from some staff members. Many waiters seemed distracted while taking orders and often gave the impression that they wanted to move guests along rather than provide attentive and professional service. One experience stood out in particular: we were given a 6:30 PM reservation for a buffet dinner. We arrived on time and started serving ourselves, but the chef came and took the plates away from us in front of other guests in an embarrassing and unnecessary manner, explaining that the food was not ready yet and that we were supposed to start with appetizers first. Situations like this made the dining experience feel poorly organized and uncomfortable. Another disappointment was the bed comfort. For a 5-star resort, the bed quality and sleeping experience did not feel at the expected standard. My brother and his family also stayed here and had a similar experience to the point that they were looking forward to leaving the resort because of the overall service and treatment. We have stayed at other resorts at a lower price point and received a noticeably better experience. Mauritius itself is beautiful and matched our expectations — unfortunately this resort did not. I hope management takes guest feedback seriously and works on improving service standards, because the resort has potential to offer a much better experience

Staying at Heritage Le Telfair was an exceptional experience from start to finish. What truly sets this resort apart is the incredibly friendly and attentive service; every staff member we interacted with was genuinely eager to help, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout our stay. The resort grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained with lush greenery and winding walking paths. Because of the clever layout, even when the resort is fully booked, you never feel crowded. There is always plenty of space to find a quiet, private spot to relax and enjoy the serene environment. The dining options were a highlight as well, with a great variety of nice restaurants to choose from. Between the high-quality food, the impressive range of on-site activities, and the stunning location in one of the most beautiful parts of Mauritius, it is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for both relaxation and engagement. Highly recommended!

What was meant to be a simple family getaway turned into one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the very moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine kindness. The entire team was attentive, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay exceptional. The culinary experience was simply outstanding. The buffet offered a wonderful variety of delicious dishes, while Ginga restaurant truly stole the show — every meal there was an absolute delight. Having stayed in several hotels over the years, we can confidently say that this was by far our best experience yet. What made it even more special was how family and kid-friendly the hotel is. The children had an incredible time in the Kids corner, filled with fun and excitement, which made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for creating such beautiful memories for our family. We are already looking forward to coming back again very soon.
