We stayed at the hotel for a short period during a break in our work travel, and even though our stay was brief, it was a wonderful experience. We received a very warm welcome, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were always kind and helpful. It was the most spacious room I have ever stayed in, and it made me feel like I was in a fairytale. It was very clean and well organized. The beach was amazing — very wide, which helps avoid crowds, and with no noticeable tide. The accessibility was well thought out, so you can enjoy every corner of the hotel, even with a stroller. The food was delicious, with a lot of variety, including many options from international cuisine. Only struggling part is the access to the Kendwa, takes around 1,5 hour from the airport.

My husband and I recently stayed at Gold Zanzibar and it was a wonderful experience! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms, although a bit outdated, are spacious and very clean. The main restaurant is awesome - it’s large and beautiful and the buffet is delicious. The chefs are phenomenal. I have a dietary restriction and one of the chefs gave me a tour of the buffet and told me to just ask him directly and he’d make me whatever I wanted. The beach is wide and clean and the water is crystal clear and warm. What makes this resort stand out though is the hospitality and service - everyone is so warm and kind and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy and having a great time. The staff is truly amazing!!! Highly recommend!

We stayed 6 nights in Gold Zanzibar as part of our honeymoon. The staff of this resort are so amazing and helpful and they try to ensure you have the best experience. Thank you to Kelvin in the bar and Maryness at the beach who made our experience really special. I have a food allergy which makes travelling difficult but the Chefs at this resort were so good at taking care of me. A special thank you to Chef Kai and Chef Warren along with all of the breakfast chefs who were on hand to help me with what I could eat. I became very sick during the vacation (this had nothing to do with the hotel) and the staff helped me access medical care and provided any food at my request to try and help me feel better. I really appreciated this. Thank you to manager Ali who really helped us. We had a dream honeymoon meal on the beach and the staff kindly moved the date of this twice due to my illness. The beach is beautiful and the resort is kept in a beautiful manner by the gardeners and ground staff. Staff are so kind and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending this resort.

🌴 A True Golden Paradise — Our 50th Wedding Celebration 🌴 We stayed at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa to celebrate our upcoming Golden Wedding Anniversary, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Everything about this place is pure perfection — a wide white-sand beach, crystal-clear water, and an impeccably maintained resort. The staff are warm, kind, and attentive, always nearby but never intrusive. The food is exceptional, fresh, and full of flavor, and drinks are served wherever you wish — by the pool, on the beach, or right on your villa terrace. When the hotel management learned that we had booked a seaside dinner to celebrate our 50 years together, they surprised us with an unforgettable gift — an upgrade to the best villa in the resort, located right on the oceanfront with a private pool. During dinner, the restaurant team sang and brought us a beautiful anniversary cake, made especially for us. It was an incredibly emotional and joyful moment that we will never forget. We also felt completely safe and cared for, even during the post-election period when there were some concerns in the media. The hotel’s security and professionalism made us feel perfectly protected and relaxed at all times. We have traveled a lot around the world, but nowhere else have we experienced such genuine hospitality, generosity, and warmth.
