Our experience at Riu Zanzibar was truly amazing, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The weather in July was perfect, with temperatures around 24°C and very low humidity, making it ideal for enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The hotel offers an excellent all-inclusive experience, with five restaurants, including three fine-dining options available by reservation, a main restaurant with three full buffet sections, a 24/7 bar, and a snacks station available throughout the day until 7 PM. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. The beach is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and beautiful views. The main pool is a good size and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with nice balconies, although they are more practical than luxurious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is perfect for a stay of up to one week, offering plenty of activities for all ages. There are many beach activities available at reasonable prices, such as a 30-minute jet ski ride for around USD 45 and fishing/snorkeling boat trips for around USD 100 (negotiating is recommended to get the best prices). I would highly recommend Riu Zanzibar, especially for families. The excellent food variety, beautiful beach, friendly service, and wide range of activities make it a wonderful destination for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any request. The food was delicious with a great variety of options, and the hotel facilities were excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, making our stay truly enjoyable. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great vacation experience. Al tikanso la “beit ha steak” bizboz zman.

Jambo jambo! We had an incredible stay at Riu Palace Zanzibar (all-inclusive). We spent a week there with no particular expectations and it exceeded them in every way. The rooms were beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the evening entertainment was consistently excellent. The level of hospitality throughout the resort was exceptional and we especially appreciated how seriously security and guest safety were taken. Although the beach is public, there are staff and security personnel regularly monitoring the area and checking wristbands, which made the resort feel very safe and well-managed. The buffet at Promenade was a highlight of the trip. The variety, quality, presentation and service were all fantastic. The chefs and staff clearly take pride in what they do and it shows. The resort is also very accommodating for guests with dietary requirements, with plenty of options available and staff who are happy to help with any requests. From the water activities to the overall atmosphere, every part of the experience was memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ❤️

The hotel’s team are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, however whilst the rooms are spacious I found them to be dated. It was difficult to book yourself into the restaurants, requiring at least 48 hours to secure a booking, once in the food and service was excellent, although there were plenty of spaces. That could have offered more opportunity for a place. In previous Riu hotels there have been more and larger restaurants you can book in so found this disappointing. Although the gardens are beautiful I feel that an extra pool area would be more beneficial especially for an adults only one. The standard cocktail menu was short and again I have experienced larger menus, most of them were rum based, I’m not sure if they could make alternatives as I don’t ask.

We were more than delighted with our stay at the Riu Palace Zanzibar! The hotel is absolutely stunning, the surroundings are beautiful, and the beaches around the resort are simply breathtaking. The food was exceptional as well – varied, high-quality, and delicious every single day. What impressed us the most, however, was the kindness and efficiency of the staff. The level of service throughout our stay was truly outstanding and made our vacation unforgettable. We would especially like to recognize Shadya, who looked after us every day by the pool. She was always incredibly friendly, attentive, efficient, and greeted us with a smile. In the evenings, Jema took wonderful care of us and provided excellent service throughout our evening at the bar. In fact, so many member of the team deserves praise. (From gardeners, to beach team, to breakfast and dinner team, cleaning ladies, etc). We have rarely experienced such a professional, dedicated, and genuinely caring staff. Our only small criticism would be the entertainment. We found some evenings a little too quiet and lacking in activities. That said, we really enjoyed some of the shows, especially the Freedom Dancers, and the Riu Party on Friday night was definitely a highlight of our stay. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Riu Palace Zanzibar to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. We would happily return!
