Never the person to write a review, especially a negative one however our experience at Dukes this year has been nothing short of disappointing… Arrived at 7am, completely understand our room was not ready for this time; no issue with this. Went to the beach to start our holiday, soon needed a drink after being in 35 degree heat… asked the security, life guards and even the gardeners if we can get any water to which we were told ‘no not until Ula opens at 12’… Went to reception to complain and was told we can use the water from our room, we don’t have a room… Partner went to buy a bottle of water from the mall and was told by security at the pool outside beverages weren’t allowed… The next day we find out breakfast wasn’t open at the hotel and we were to walk to a separate hotel, only a 5 minute walk but the principal of having these unexpected situations dropped on you once you’ve paid the money is unacceptable. The hotel bar in the evening was closed, forcing you to go to the recommended Sports bar around the corner, which we went to and then was told it’s a 150 minimum spend. So you can’t get a simple can of pop in the hotel and if you did want one you need to spend a minimum of 150aed. It feels almost as if you’re not wanted at the hotel, the staff were nice but nothing like previous years, the breakfast was also nice but again the general service standard has dropped massively. Not to mention the ludicrous prices of food and drink by the pool/beach, the good value of the hotel becomes irrelevant when a can of pop is £7 each! A salad, a gyros and a drink coming to £77 is crazy! Definitely won’t be coming back!

Gorgeous hotel, smells amazing! Service is outstanding and thanks to Stephanie at the reception our stay was exceptional. I was celebrating my birthday with my boys, they even sent me a celebration dessert to my room. All really great. The pool is heated and you can swim until late. The beach is very clean and calm, also the service on the beach is great. Rooms are very spacious, we had 2 balconies. If you cross the street you will find the mall.

We had such a lovely experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Ednah. She was incredibly attentive and always noticed right away when something needed to be cleared, keeping everything tidy and comfortable for us. What we especially appreciated was how politely she always asked if we were finished with our plates before taking them away. She did everything with such kindness and a warm smile, which made us feel truly welcome. You could clearly see that Ednah genuinely enjoys her job and truly cares about the guests. Her positive energy and warm service made our visit even more special. She made us feel welcome and very well taken care of.

We had a lovely stay at Duke’s Hotel during the Eid holiday. The lobby was quite busy at check-in, but that was to be expected given the holiday crowds. Despite the hotel being full, it never felt noisy, and we didn’t have to wait long for food or service. The staff were incredibly busy but remained friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout our stay. The pool area was lovely, and the lazy river was a real highlight for our 7-month-old baby. Our room was clean and well-equipped, and we especially appreciated having a microwave and stovetop available to heat baby food and prepare bottles. Breakfast in the early morning was peaceful, with a good selection of tasty food. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we would happily return.

We had a wonderful stay at Dukes The Palm. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Especially, Sabry during breakfast made our experience worth it. The beach and pool areas were fantastic, making it a great place to relax. The only area that could be improved is the room service. While the food and service were good, the delivery time was consistently longer than expected. Faster room service would make the overall experience even better. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others.
