Outstanding hotel with excellent facilities. You can really tell you are in some place that is premium and you really get what you pay for. The room was in great condition and locally themed. Our room had a swimming pool and garden that was really well maintained. The grounds are kept to an excellent standard. This is not normal landscaping for a property this size, the whole place is lush with foliage and flowers around every turn and it must cost a fortune to maintain all of this. I see some people complaining about ants and other insects, this is just a byproduct of having a hotel with lush gardens surrounding all the rooms. The only other option would be to not have gardens or spray everything with pesticide constantly - I am happier to have the gardens personally and it was nice to see the place full of life (including lizards and cute little birds). Finally the food was excellent in the buffet, restaurant and the beach area. They are outstanding in this area and each evening they had really nice live performers which was a nice touch.

The Grecotel Hotel Caramel is located in Adele, very close to Rethymnon. I stayed there for two weeks years ago. At that time, the hotel had just recently opened, and the entire property was beautifully clean and very well maintained. The beach area was also lovely. I still remember my first day — I arrived, went straight to the beach, lay down on a sunbed, and simply fell asleep to the sound of the sea. It was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, very well-balanced with a wide variety of choices. We also had half board, and the dinners were just as impressive — diverse, high quality, and really enjoyable. What I particularly liked was that they offered a free shuttle service if you wanted to visit other hotel facilities within the resort group. We also booked the Grecotel Spa Farm experience once, which was truly beautiful and relaxing. I can highly recommend this hotel. One day, I even met the General Manager at the time, Marinka, and had a conversation with her — she was completely in her element, truly passionate about what she was doing. Our recent stay at Caramel Hotel was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their genuine hospitality and readiness to respond to all our requests. Their friendly demeanor added to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the hotel. The calm vibes prevalent throughout the property created a perfect retreat from our busy lives. We particularly enjoyed the evening buffet, which was nothing less than a culinary delight. The spread was rich, diverse, and catered to all our tastes, making it a highlight of our stay. Another fantastic experience was the performance by a local band near the pool. Their music created an enjoyable ambiance, enhancing our relaxation as we lounged by the water. Additionally, our kids had a blast at Grecoland! The crew there was fantastic, providing fun activities that kept the children entertained, allowing us some much-needed downtime. Overall, our experience at Caramel Hotel was memorable, and we can't wait to return for another blissful getaway! Highly recommend for families and couples alike!

This hotel is getting 5 stars primarily because of the amazing staff. Extremely attentive and helpful without ever seeking either over-baring or forced. They were super friendly and kind at all times. The gardening and pool areas are very well maintained and pretty. The rooms were highly stylish and nicely finished. Especially the marble bathrooms. Two small things- we did have a lot of ants in our room although they did come in many times a day to clear them up. They had however upgraded us to a massive house and the ants were in the downstairs which we had no need to utilize to it didn’t present a major problem. Also the aircon didn’t seem to do much but it wasn’t sweltering. Breakfast was high quality and generous and we enjoyed the lunch menu as well. Quite a few nice places to eat near by as well.

Fab place. Maria has instilled a great culture in the team who elevate the service above the usual 5 Star Hotel experience. This is more akin to a luxury private villa with your own team. Worth going for the subtle aroma of Caramel that's piped though the entrance. Super Beachfront Villas and wonderful food.
