We loved this hotel! It is amazing. It gave us a “wow” experience. The views from the lobby and rooms are breathtaking. We loved the beautiful infrastructure, several restaurants, infinity pool, buffet, live music m, romantic lounges, and organized activities for families. We were also thrilled to find such a kid friendly hotel. It’s a rare combination. The staff also goes out of its way to help satisfy your every need. Live music at night in the outdoor bar was also a welcome treat! We recommend this hotel highly. The staff surpasses expectations and aims to please. The check in process could be more streamlined as it took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get into the room. All else was spectacular.

We had together with our daughter, her husband and grandkids wonderful holidays at Amarandis. First we would like to thank the reception team. They made it possible, that we (a couple - arrival 5 days later) had a swim up superior room next to our family with a swim up family room. The Hotel complex is in a simple but very impressive way designed. The architecture adapts to the environment of the Hotel and everything is generously executed. The main pool is huge and the sun loungers are very comfortable with alway fresh towels and lie apart from each other. We had dinner in the main restaurant but also at Blue Monkey. The food tasted excellent and also the variety of different art of food we enjoyed very much. The staff is very friendly und very accommodating. Two minor things we would mention which could be improved; the red wines are served too warm and the beds were for us too soft. We’ll definitely come back in one of the next years (after the new airport of Heraklion is running 😂).

Our stay was a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. A very special contribution to our overall enjoyment came from the Beach Bar team. The entire team did an outstanding job, but we would especially like to recognize Mr. Haris. He always took the time to assist us whenever we needed something, was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous, yet never intrusive. On the contrary, his natural understanding of people and his warm personality genuinely impressed us. In our opinion, he deserves special recognition, as it was not only us who received such attentive service. We observed him interacting with many other guests, and he consistently demonstrated the same level of professionalism, kindness, and dedication. The tennis and padel facilities are also an outstanding part of the resort. The coaches and staff are highly motivated, friendly, and create a welcoming atmosphere for players of all levels. We also greatly enjoyed the buffet. Personally, I have very high standards due to my background in fine dining and extensive culinary experience. Therefore, I would describe the food as very good, while many other guests would likely consider it excellent. All in all, this holiday was pure relaxation and enjoyment. I had a very nice stay at this hotel and can recommend it. The architecture is beautiful and gives the whole place a special atmosphere. The restaurants offer a good variety of food and everything I tried was very good. I stayed in a bungalow and the view from the room was great. The rooms are well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The only downside was that the pool was not heated, which made it hard to use when it was a bit colder. Also the sauna and fitness room are quite small and not really what you would expect from a five star hotel. Overall still a very good experience and I would come back.

Our stay at the Amirandes Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. Although the hotel is advertised as a 5-star luxury resort, in our opinion it does not meet the standards one would expect from such a rating. The rooms were particularly disappointing. They are extremely poorly soundproofed. You can constantly hear conversations and noise from other guests, cleaning staff and housekeeping carts in the hallways, as well as footsteps and noise from the rooms above. As a result, it was often difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The service was also inconsistent. While some members of the staff were friendly and professional, others appeared unmotivated and lacked the level of professionalism and attentiveness expected from a 5-star hotel. Another major drawback is the beach. It is not private, meaning anyone can access it, including people who are not hotel guests. This was surprising and did not match our expectations of an exclusive 5-star resort. We were also shocked to be charged €6 for a simple plastic bottle of water, which we found excessive and unreasonable. Finally, the hotel looks significantly better in its online photos than it does in reality. The pictures create the impression of a much higher standard than what we actually experienced during our stay. Overall, we left feeling disappointed. Considering the price and the hotel’s 5-star rating, we expected a much higher level of quality, comfort, peace and service. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.
