Very nice and quiet hotel, very friendly staff and service except for one rude staff in the restaurant. Food is great if you are a veg, if not please stay away because the chefs here dont know something such as meat exists. Wont call this a five star hotel a low range 4 star at the best judging by the food here. Sri lanka has better food buffets at 3 stars and 4 star hotels. I think the management at avani deira needs to send the folk to sri lanka on what kinds of variety we have in our buffets even their own avani hotel in sri lanka does much better. I think no hotel should get away with cheaping out on meats and putting sausages on the buffet and call it a day.

Upon booking my stay here, on bookings.com this hotel was rated a 5 star. Unfortunately this hotel is a high 3 star hotel (maybe pushing a low 4 star). The staff was very nice and accommodating, and upon checking in I was given an upgrade, which I'm thankful for. Upon arriving in a taxi no one met me at the door to help bring my luggage in, which was not normal for any hotel I have stayed in in Dubai. For me the location was not the best, but I made it work. There was a lounge next to reception and I was on the 2nd floor, and heard loud music late a couple nights. The upgraded room was spacious, and the king size bed was very comfortable.

To the Head of Department, I am writing this email because I am completely fed up with the way I am treated every single time I visit Avani Hotel, especially by your security guard named Nasef. I don’t understand why this hotel always has a problem with me. From the moment I step out of the club, there is unnecessary drama. If I sit in the lobby and talk to someone, your security comes and tells me I cannot sit or talk. If I go to the washroom and meet a friend on the way, even if I shake hands or give a simple hug, the security immediately interferes and tells me, “Don’t touch anyone.” This is ridiculous and humiliating. Let me make this very clear: I am a customer, not a bar girl. I come to your club, I sit, I drink, and I use the washroom like any other guest. Yet your security behaves as if I am doing something wrong all the time. They continuously assume things about me and treat me miserably. I am gay, and it is very obvious that I am being targeted because of this. The way your security staff behaves with me is discriminatory. Every visit, it’s the same story — “you can’t stand here,” “you can’t do this,” “you can’t do that.” No other hotel in Dubai behaves like this. Only Avani Hotel. Your security guard needs to understand how to behave with guests. Hugging a friend or shaking hands is not a crime. Talking in the lobby is not a crime. Being gay is not a crime. The constant harassment, assumptions, and disrespect are unacceptable. If Avani Hotel cannot treat its customers properly, then this needs to be addressed seriously. Please give proper feedback and training to your security staff, especially Nasef, because this kind of behavior is not normal and not professional. I expect this issue to be taken seriously, because I am tired of facing the same discrimination every time I visit your hotel. Meanwhile, the security staff is now refusing me entry to the hotel, stating that management has decided I am no longer allowed on the hotel premises, without providing any explanation whatsoever. Please respond urgently with a clear and valid reason for this decision before I escalate the matter to the Head of Minor Hotels.

I would highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and breakfast. My parents couldn’t stop praising the food—it was the best breakfast they’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Although my check-out time was 12 p.m., they kindly extended it by two hours at no extra charge since my flight was at 4:30 p.m! Thank you Avani Deira!!! 🤍🤍🤍
