4/5 – Beautiful Resort with Great Service and Relaxing Vibe Anantara Iko is a stunning resort with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful design. The property is modern and well maintained, with lush landscaping and easy beach access. The pool area and spa are definite highlights — calm, clean, and perfect for unwinding. My room was spacious and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What kept it from being a full five stars was the inconsistency in service. Staff weren’t always as responsive or attentive as expected for this level of resort, and food service could be slow at times. Still, overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d happily return.

As someone who’s stayed in many 5-star hotels, this was unfortunately the most disappointing experience I’ve had. Highlights: • The hotel’s design, pools, and restaurants are beautiful. • Location: only 10 minutes from the airport, but quite far from most Mauritius attractions — good if you just want peace and quiet. Lowlights: • Food: Buffet had variety but not 5-star quality. Service was poor — staff often ignored guests. I was even told mid-meal that my outfit didn’t meet the dress code, which felt rude and unnecessary. • Beach: zero service, no umbrellas or bar nearby, rocky and not ideal for swimming. • Room: spacious with nice bathroom, but had a slight smell and bugs inside. • Checkout: chaotic — staff knocked multiple times even after granting late checkout. • Transport: no taxis or apps available; you must arrange through the hotel or your own driver. Overall: beautiful property but poor service, stressful experience, and not worth the 5-star label. “I wouldn’t recommend it”

I stayed at this resort for three days, and it was an amazing experience. I want to give a special thank you to Rebecca for her kindness and the way she made us feel welcomed and cared for during our stay. I also want to thank Vidya and Diya from the kids’ club. Their positive energy and the way they interacted with my daughter were wonderful. She felt happy and comfortable with them, and that meant a lot to me. The only downsides are that the place is a bit dark and there aren’t many activities. However, this makes it perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet. Thank you all for making our visit memorable. Highly recommended! 🌟

The place is stunning. Convenient location close to the airport. Food was passable. For the price of the sour tasting rib-eye I could’ve had a highly marbled waygu anywhere else. Service could have certainly been much better for a 5-star resort. Breakfast had a decent spread. My room door was an issue for 3 days and it took a while to get someone to come with a key to open it up. Similar to a previous review, which indicates that there isn’t any lesson learnt, my room phone wasn’t working, body wash bottle was empty and the aircon sounded like a truck idling. It seemed like some staff thought they were doing you a favour. I’ve been to Mauritius a few times before and the resorts operated like clockwork. This one, I’ll give a pass anywhere else in the world I come across it.

We spent a weekend at Anantara Iko Mauritius and it was the perfect getaway. 🌴🌻 The room was nice and comfortable. The food was simply delicious with some great variety. The staff was super friendly and genuinely welcoming! ✨ The spa was relaxing - a special thanks to Mrs Kamna for the wonderful massage. 🌺 A heartfelt thank you to Nicolas, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was truly memorable. His professionalism and kindness really stood out. 🤍 Overall, it was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend this hotel!! ☀️🌴
