Mixed feelings about this place. I read other reviews that ranged from 1 star upto 5 stars. Word of warning and something that doesn't seem to be advertised but this hotel is aimed more at the French market. Evening entertainment is all French spoken, many of the staff speak mainly French and very little English. Overall the facilities are good, rooms are a little tired especially our bathroom. But it was comfortable with air-conditioning and a big bed. Be warned the site is on a hill side with the main facilities and reception at the top. Our room/apartment was at the bottom of the complex and its about a 5 to 10 minuate walk to the top, not massively steep but steep enough. The main food area was always clean and plenty of free table while we were there. Food was typical food for feeding large numbers of people on a buffet style all inclusive. Good selection of food if your not fussy ranging from stew, fish, steak, pizza, burgers, salads, cooked meats, various deserts and icecream. Our biggest complaint was the bar after 6pm. There only seemed to be one bar open which was in the entertainment area, it was under staffed and there was a half hour que to get a drink and the area was very loud and busy. Great if you want that, but if you want a quiet area to sit, drink and chat at the end of the day you wont find it here. What you will get is a loud Butlin's style entertainment in French. This really let it down for us. If we had known this we would of chosen a different resort as we speak a little Spanish to be able to get by, but not French.

The staff are great, the food was great in my Favourite club, definitely worth upgrading to this. The rooms are big, bathrooms are ok id say a 3 star. Bedrooms 4 star. About a 15 min walk down to the beach, not ideal for people with disabilities as lots of hills to walk up down. Beach is stunning.

We stayed at Alua Village Fuerteventura and overall had a really good experience. The service throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is predominantly catered towards French guests, the entertainment team also translated activities and shows into English, which we appreciated. The food was good, with a different theme each day, although some dishes stayed the same throughout the week. We did try to book the à la carte restaurant but unfortunately there was no availability during our stay. At the time we visited, only one pool was open and the other was empty, but the open pool was lovely and refreshing. Some music around the pool area would have made the atmosphere even better. The only downside for us was that the outdoor drinks hut stayed closed for the entire week. It would have been really convenient to have it open, especially as it would save having to go inside where there were sometimes queues at the bar. There’s also a lovely beach nearby, and we’d definitely recommend visiting Caretta Beach Bar, which is about a 15-minute walk away. Great location for relaxing by the sea.

To my experience, I wouldn't ever visit this hotel again. First off, unless you upgrade, you will not receive UHT milk in your room after the first day, and thats what your paying for. The floor was never mopped so your walking around with bits stuck to your feet. We were only given 1 large towel, forgetting there was more than 1 of us! Secondly the food. All the food is uncovered in the snack bar with birds pecking at it, and flies crawling on the bread. Never take it from the top, its always stale. Thirdly, in the restaurant, some of the food labels is incorrect in correspondence with the food. (Hope you don't have allergies!) One of the chef's cooked a lamb chop and said it was turkey! I dont think they know their products. The food is always overcooked(which is a shame) and their chips are pre cooked. The cleanliness around the swimming pool is dirty with loose tiles. Not very well maintained. Entertainment is full of kids working there shouting around when your wanting to relax. Not much to do there and have seen better entertainment at butlins as it is not for adults. Its more teen entertainment. Unless your French, you will no feel welcome as it is clear they do not like the English! They will not speak with you or associate with you. Some of the staff are very rude (again prob because were english) everything is spoken in French and not translated to English. the closest town is about 10 mins away in a car and taxi will cost you around 10 euros and the beach is about 15 min walk uphill on gravel from reception. Unfortunately I dont have anything good about this place apart from the sun and this is why ill never return. At the end when we were leaving, the staff wouldn't give us the time of day and say bye.

Location is best enjoyed with access to a hire car if you want to see more than the hotel and nearby beach. Rooms are a little tired in decor (particularly bathrooms) but otherwise clean and tidy and the water is hot. Room service is efficient. Food options are a little limited but this seems to be a smaller resort than some others we have visited. All inclusive food is always a little "same-same" wherever you go but othwrwise its fine. Indoor pool, suna, steam room, gym, basketball court and outdoor areas are all very good facilities. My only personal disapointment is no kettle in the room or access to milk after breakfast for me tea. But not the end of the world. i bought some in the hotel shop to keep in the in-room fridge. I would recommend the hotel to anybody planning to visit
