From start to end The Fives Oceanfront team were so professional, supportive and made our honeymoon stay one to truly remember. We had the all-inclusive option.
The room was spacious, clean and perfect for our stay with a private balcony. The cleaning service is great and can be daily for a change of towels and bedding.
The Ro Marley Beach House was the best and served unique breakfast and lunch dishes with a Carribbean twist. The dinner served had a variety of options including Italian style cuisines, a choice of sushi or Ro Marley's Carribbean cuisine. Everything was served fresh to order with a great selection of alcoholic drinks. Many all inclusive hotels I have stayed previously make the mistake of serving food in a buffet style which causes cross contamination and consequently spreads sickness among the stayers. The Fives Oceanfront did this right!
A special shout-out to the servers Yoe, Abraham, Gabriel, Hair, Elvis, Luciano, Antonio (and all of them I have failed to mention) for being so attentive when taking food orders and serving drinks and personable with humour and our bad attempts at speaking Spanish.
I think it is worth exploring various options for exploring outside of Puerto Morelos. As the town is around 30-40mins south of Cancun. I found it cheaper to source my own taxi service by arranging separately. Also, close to Puerto Morelos town are excursion providers to Chichen-Itza as well as Tulum-Coba, Isla Mujeres and other spots for affordable all-day trips. The hotel does offer excursions and activities for those who prefer in-house service.
The hotel is quiet from after 11pm as there is no late night drinks service. This was perfect for us jetlagged travellers to catch up on our sleep.
I can only commend The Fives Oceanfront team and staying at this wonderful hotel. Me and my wife have never felt so relaxed and destressed from the hustle and bustle of our city lives. We were provided with such a high quality of customer service during our honeymoon.
We recommend for an amazing stay.

Beach well maintained next to village for fun shops and live music safe town. Solo Traveller resort has spa d ZERO entertainment other than arts and crafts and stretch classes. Made guacamole once with chef that was nice. Went for 2 wks only had a reggae band for 1.5 hrs rooftop plays vibey music but beach has way too much reggae. There’s a disconnect with service breakfast wait aprox 2 hrs iPads get in the way of connecting with clients a few servers stood out. The lobby bartender Viktor was by far the best natural charismatic friendly and a great bartender. Over all 1-10 I’d say 6.5/7 they try but support from higher up’s needs to fix the issue. Great group of people. Met some nice new friends.

I checked in yesterday but so far have not been impressed, will add more later but the service us not good, facilities are ok. Never had my bag delivered to my room, had to go get it at the front. Can't get any food, long wait for restaurants and not helpful staff The all inclusive package is not worth it, can't get food as needed, charged extra for room service and waiting over 40 min for my lunch

Feedback on Food & Beverage
Food options at the resort are very limited. The daytime restaurant closes at 5pm and often doesn’t have many of the items shown online. The dinner restaurant is reservation-only and also offers a reduced menu. The beach area menu is the same as the daytime restaurant, despite being advertised separately.
. Menu availability across meals was inconsistent, and it’s also unclear how to order room service, as this process isn’t explained anywhere. Except that it's $5 for ever time you order.
Clearer communication and more reliable food options would greatly improve the guest experience.

We had such a great stay at The Fives Oceanfront! The hotel itself was lovely — clean, calm, and full of good vibes — but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff.
From the moment we arrived, Eli at reception made us feel welcome and taken care of. At the bar, Fidel, Victor, Karen, Yair, and Haber went above and beyond every single day — friendly, fun, and always ready with a smile (and the best drinks!). And in the dining room, Elvis and Yoe were amazing — kind, attentive, and made every meal feel special.
They all made us feel more like friends than guests. My only small wish would be for more seafood options on the off-season dinner menu — but otherwise, everything was wonderful. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already wanting to come back.

I had very high hopes for this hotel. Prior to arrival, I had no issues. Communication was great. When you got there, the room that was promised wasn't available. The next day they made us wait until 3pm to move to a new room even though we were "priority." Our hot tub didn't work in our room. The room phone and curtains were broken. The room had a kitchenette but no utensils to reheat anything. Room service communication was poor the the food always cold. There is a text service for the room service and it always said they were "out of the office." In an all-inclusive, we should not be charged for room service either. The food was very limited and always only lukewarm. We had to send back our dishes a couple of times because of that. Unfortunately, you can get better service and food in the town. I will not be going back to this hotel.

My wife and I had the most amazing experience having dinner at Sea Olive/Arrezo during our 10 day stay at the Fives beach resort and residences. We had the privilege of having Armenta as our waiter, he was extremely friendly and attentive to us and did everything he could to make our experience memorable. He took the time to chat with us, we could have talked for hours. I had ordered the Tomahawk steak, medium rare, cooked perfectly. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo and added the stuffed chicken breast which Almenta was happy to do for her. During our meal Almenta had the Chef come table side to ask how everything was. My wife and I had nothing but high remarks and told him that they take a lot of pride at their profession and it shows in the quality of food and phenomenal service. We had chosen before this evening to end our vacation back at Sea Olive and are hoping to have Armenta as our server to end our vacation to Playa Del Carmen. It was an absolute joy and look forward to another great meal.

We absolutely loved our stay earlier on in the summer here! The resort is stunning - amazing location, beautiful facilities, and the staff truly made our trip unforgettable. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - Monse from the entertainment team was so so so lovely and we’ll never forget her! So was Camilo (Entertainment), Maricelda (L’Brasserie), Carlos (Arezzo) & Francisco (Sea Olive), Bernardo (Koh Thai) and Miguel & Tania from the Hospitality team also made our stay much more enjoyable from their stand-out service and kindness!
The shuttle cart service around the resort was super convenient and always quick. The only downsides were the long waits for restaurant seating and the slower and low quality room service, which didn’t quite match the otherwise fantastic standards.
Overall though, we loved every minute - the people & atmosphere here are what make it so special! 🌴✨❤️

There are many things we loved about our stay at The Fives, but I have to give a special shout out to some of the staff that made the stay extra special.
Ambassadors- Daniel and Roberto. These guys were on top of it! We don’t ask for much during our stays, but these two sought ways to go above and beyond to make the trip special! They took care of the planning and logistics for all meals and on site spa services. We didn’t worry about a thing!
Kids Club staff: AMAZING!!!! They treat the kids with such kindness and love, and it is easy to see they do a wonderful job because the kids beg to go there!
Omar in the spa: Best massage I have had at a resort! Dulce- extremely talented with nails and so fun to talk to!
Spa staff: I loved starting my days with hydrotherapy, and the spa staff became my morning buddies- greeting me with smiles and great conversation. Those that taught classes were incredible too!
Armenta- Waiter at Sea Olive…this guy is the best! Our family looks for him each time we come to The Fives. He makes the fine dining experience even better!
Honestly, every staff member in the service areas (bars, restaurants, pool, house keeping, spa, front desk) was the best of the best!

Casa de Rosa Dinner Experience
From start to finish, everything about our visit was amazing. Fatima and Lea were the most wonderful hosts. They were warm, knowledgeable, and so much fun to be around. The liquor tasting was such a unique touch, and learning about the local flavors made the experience even richer.
Cooking dinner together was a highlight as the ingredients were fresh, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, and the food turned out absolutely delicious. Sitting down afterward to enjoy the meal we had just prepared felt so special.
If you’re looking for an authentic, hands-on experience with incredible food and even better company, Casa de Rose is a must. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at The Fives Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen! The grounds were beautifully maintained and the beach was absolutely stunning. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly and attentive — a special shout-out to Israel, who made us feel truly welcomed and went above and beyond throughout our stay. The food exceeded our expectations with plenty of delicious restaurant options and great variety. It’s the perfect place for relaxation, great cocktails, and a fun tropical atmosphere. Highly recommended for both families and couples!

Venue was 5 star, food and beverage was 5 star, and food and beverage staff was 5 star. This issue was the event coordinator.
I booked this venue to host my wedding celebration for friends and family, Daphna was very communicative up until about a few weeks before the event, then I would only get replies once every few days, then THREE days before the wedding she turned her phone off and was unreachable.
Obviously there is last minute setup that needs to happen for a wedding, and when I arrived the day of, I showed up to completely different furniture then talked about, and every fine detail you can think of that goes into a wedding either didn't exist or was the opposite. The rest of the staff quickly helped us pivot, but when I addressed this with Daphna all she had was excuses.
If you are dealing with Daphna, I strongly recommend you have a back up plan.
Special shout out to Antanio as he did an amazing job with all the guests.

Place is fantastic. !!! I’m not the person to be trapped in one place and this location has it all! The main strip of playa del Carmen at your door.
The service of the hotel is fantastic . All inclusive for dinner and breakfast and drinks are 10/10.
You can get discounts as well on excursion. And if you ask the front desk they’ll give you a day pass to the 5 resort. Feel the difference. And you’ll see downtown is better.

This hotel had amazing service from the moment we checked in! The rooftop has awesome views and even better service. Arturo knew us by name after day one and made our experience a 10 out of 10! Josedir was so kind and had the best local recommendations. Both Arturo and Josedir were so welcoming—it made you want to keep coming back to the pool! We’re already planning our next stay and haven’t even checked out yet. Highly recommend

The place was awesome! This is our second time here and we are not disappointed. The food and drinks are also great. The pool is very clean and fun. The room service and cleaning/maintenance is a 10/10. I rather stay here than the resorts because you have more access to playa and the amazing offerings in the main street such as the markets, Phramacies, Resturants, and much more! I would definitely come back.

Dorreymin provided outstanding service during our visit to the rooftop bar and pool. He gave us great recommendations on things to do and filled us in on the hotel’s upcoming events. Brunch was also fantastic, and Dorreymin made the experience even better with his attentive service. Visiting The Fives Downtown is always a great time, and this trip was no exception.
