The Veranda Tamarin Half Board package includes the following:

  • Breakfast and dinner served at Ye! Man restaurant
  • A credit of Rs 600 per adult, per night for dinner at Crazy Fish*

The Veranda Tamarin All Add In (all-inclusive) package includes the following:

  • Daily breakfast (7am to 10am) served buffet style at Ye! Man restaurant
  • Daily lunch (12pm to 3pm) served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant OR a Rs 400 credit per person, per day at Crazy Fish*
  • Daily dinner served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant (7pm to 10pm) OR a Rs 600 credit per person, per day at at Crazy Fish (6pm to 10pm)*
  • Afternoon tea, coffee and selection of Mauritian delicacies (4pm to 5pm)
  • A selection of local beverages, including mineral water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails, local wines, rums and beers (served by the glass at bars 11am to 11pm, except View bar til 8pm)
  • In-room coffee and tea facilities replenished once daily

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were super-helpful when it came to planning evenings out, and also in giving us late checkout - we had a 10pm flight home. In general, service is willing but not always efficient. We did not always get the water topped up in our room and had to chase staff at the bar for service and payment. If you book the restaurant, it's worth check that the booking has actually been made.

Stayed there for 5 days All-Inclusive in November 2025 Positives: - Rooms and housekeeping were consistently good - Main Bartender and activities staff were good and very professional Negatives - Food was frequently under-seasoned, overcooked, or left out for way too long. One hot dish almost gave me food poisoning - Quality of fruit on offer was consistently poor - Obvious lack of attention to detail (e.g., Orange Juice being listed as "Baguette" on the English translation card and other laughable errors) - Seafood restaurant was massively overpriced, even with the all-inclusive credit - Upon checkout, front desk tried to charge us for drinks that were included in our package - apart from the main bartender, none of the bar staff had any idea what they were doing (reading cocktail ingredients from the menu and improvising the amounts) - constantly being asked to sign $0 checks for every meal, drink, etc. is not commensurate with an all-inclusive experience - Snack bar and a-la-carte restaurant were frequently unstaffed and closed way earlier than their posted hours - for most nights we were there, no one at dinner had the opportunity to order a drink. Corrected after supervisor asked us how our stay was going.

We spent two nights at Veranda Tamarin Hotel and had a lovely experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and we always felt safe and at ease. What really stood out was the warmth and politeness of the staff — they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were also woken up by the chant of a rooster which felt amazing. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of fresh and tasty options to choose from. Overall, a short but memorable stay, and we would be happy to return.

Pros: Scented towel and rum on arrival which was very welcome after such a long journey. Lovely communal areas, pool is very relaxing, and there's an activities board by the pool for something every day. Aqua gym was always good fun! Hotel is in a Good location for Access to other parts of island and shops. We stayed in a Garden room and loved to sit outside our room and observe the birds, bats and the gorgeous resident Rooster. The room is modern decor perhaps on the small side, my husband found it quite small. The bed is very comfortable. The Toilet area could do with a scrub but housekeeping is done every day. If you want anything just ask. Our toilet was separate from our shower & sink area which I don't like, but was fine for our 2 weeks stay. The lighting in the room is cosy, great idea having lots of lamps. Love the outside seating area, coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge. Nice touches like the cool box and Beach towels, mats in a whicker bag. Breakfast & dinner was fine for us, vegetarian/pescatarian options. The restaurant staff are very friendly and work very hard! A little overrun sometimes but we found going at 8pm quieter. There's a Water fountain by pool to refill bottle - great idea! Voucher for discount in spa. I had a great pedicure and there's a sauna you can book. I'd recommend this. There's music/entertainment ends at 9pm for consideration, also a games room which is fun for rainy days and evenings. Aestheticly pleasing hotel, with an eco vibe. Cons : blaring music from 9/10pm on the beach/football fields outside hotel. This seemed to be mainly on weekends especially if you have a beach view room. This is truly an incredible shame as so much thought has gone into the hotel to make it a relaxing environment. If definitely recommend bringing earplugs! We admittedly like to retire early but are here on holiday to relax and re-cooperate from a hectic stressful life and need sleep. I'm not sure what the hotel can to do limit the noise. Apparently the police were rung while we were here and did absolutely nothing.... We would return to the hotel as long as we had a garden room and ear plugs. Also the cats are so lovely!
