A special thanks to Kaviraj for setting up a surprise dinner table with a delicious cake for my hubby's birthday. Not forgetting the resident DJ that sang for him.We felt truly welcomed and cared for. Highly recommended!

Most horrible experience of my life. Being a regular visitor to the Island of Mauritius I was dumbfounded that this hotel is still open to the public. It is rundown and falling apart. Arriving at the hotel there was no reception, we had to carry our own luggage. Eventually a person showed up and asked that we should sit down in a heat bowl of a room, the aircon was either switched off or not working. He showed up with the paperwork and then a porter came with two glasses of boiling hot juice. The room was in a state the beds wasn't made, the linen dirty. We booked an all inclusive holiday but found that there was nothing to drink in the bar fridge except for one bottle of water. The buffet was terrible, something I won't even feed my dog. There is no Manager available so nothing could be rectified. There is no TV channels for international tourist just local stations. For myself as a South African citizen it's not acceptable, we don't even have this low level of service and quality in our own third world country. It appears as if the European tourists are loving the almost nothingness, but for me it doesn't fly. Can't think that travel agents are still selling this hotel to civilised people

The Silver Beach Hotel is a truly wonderful place to stay; it has countless advantages. The rooms are always well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Over the course of a week, the menu was consistently varied; we never ate the same thing for lunch or dinner. Don't expect the abundance of the larger resorts, but rather to eat without waste. Raw and cooked vegetables, fruit, and ice cream are always available; I must say, even the pasta wasn't badly cooked. At mealtimes, drinks are served by waiters, and the bar offers a good selection of cocktails and local spirits. Our sea-view room was spacious and equipped with a desk, wardrobe with hangers, safe, refrigerator, and kettle. The mattress was quite comfortable, and a couple of extra pillows were available. The shower was spacious, towels were changed daily, and bathroom amenities were provided. It's true... the walls could use a freshener. I can't say enough about the beach; it's clean and well-maintained: a paradise of coral and underwater life. Canoes and pedal boats, along with life jackets, are available free of charge. The lounger cushions are removed at 5 pm, but chairs and deckchairs remain available. There's always a nice breeze that makes the high temperatures bearable. At the end of March, we found 30°C, mostly clear skies, and a few minutes of rain one afternoon. We took the excursion to the five islands organized by the hotel and had a wonderful time: pick-up on our beach, a comfortable speedboat, we were a small group of just seven people, and the food was plentiful and fresh. The waiters are all very kind, including the reception staff; Salim from the beach speaks Italian. I can highly recommend this hotel: simple, authentic, surrounded by nature, with the constant sound of tropical birdsong.

We stayed there in October 2025. The weather was a bit chilly. The music at night was fun with an 80s theme. The staff were very attentive, warm, and friendly. They even had a special birthday song and celebration service with smiles on their faces.

Worst Hotel experience ever, booked and paid for garden view room. Arrived at hotel, no help with luggage, poor service at reception. Arrived at room, beds not made, one short of a sheet, sheets dirty, not even chair to sit on in room. TV didn't worked, then we were told that hotel had strick dress code for restaurant, just to arrive at supper where almost every person is sitting with shorts and sandals. Double standards, old rundown building and need urgent update. Paid for all inclusive not worth it. This was our 5 visit but the last to Mauritius.
