Our family just returned from a magical holiday at Veligandu Maldives, and we are already dreaming of going back. The island itself is breathtaking—truly a slice of heaven on earth—but what really took our experience to the next level was the incredible service. We have to give a massive shout-out to our Lifestyle Host, Sissy. She was absolute perfection from the moment we arrived until the moment we waved goodbye. Traveling as a family can sometimes come with extra logistics, but Sissy handled every single request with a smile and incredible efficiency. Whether it was organizing dining reservations, arranging activities for the kids, or just ensuring we had everything we needed in our villa, she was always one step ahead. Sissy didn't just do her job; she poured her heart into making our holiday feel personal and special. Because of her, we could actually relax and focus on making memories together. Thank you, Veligandu, and a huge thank you to Sissy for being a superstar! On another note, everyone else from the staff was amazing too! Special shoutout to Isaac, Awi and Adam from the restaurants/bars! 😊

Incredible honeymoon in the Maldives! What a resort Veligandu is and I promise you won’t regret booking. I did a lot of research into resort islands and what we’d want out of a day 10 day stay. Firstly the villas are incredible and only built last year so very modern but a cozy feel. The facilities are excellent - spa, padel court, games room, main pool, bars, restaurants all 10 out of 10. We did the teppanyaki experience which was incredible but not included in the all inclusive package but that is clearly advertised. Highly recommend getting the app before you go so that you can do all your restaurant bookings as these fill up very quickly. When you arrive you’re assigned a host and we were very lucky to get Dilara who was just wonderful - she text us every morning with the weather, what activities were on and what bookings we had. What a lovely and friendly person - always super helpful and responsive. I honestly didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. A real review can’t be real unless there was 1 thing that wasn’t right… so if I had to give one negative it’s that the Maldives doesn’t have very good coffee so order a triple shot!!! Shoutout to Nabeel our daily cleaner who was just great and works very hard to keep a strong standard for each villa.

Our stay at Veligandu Maldives Resort was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking views, delicious food, and an incredibly attentive staff that made the experience feel truly special. A special mention goes to our concierge, Maoly Vasco, who texted us daily to check in and assist with reservations or plans. Her dedication and proactive communication made everything seamless and stress-free. We also want to highlight Lakmal, one of the restaurant waiters, whose friendly attitude and genuine attention to guests stood out. His warmth and professionalism added an extra layer of comfort to our dining experiences. The Global experience was very positive and exceeded expectations.

We had a wonderful stay at Veligandu Maldives. The island is beautiful and very relaxing, the water is amazing and the sights breathtaking. Many thanks to Maoly, our concierge, for being so helpful and attentive, and to Lakmal, one of the waiters, for his friendly attitude and for making every meal more enjoyable. I would also like to thank the diving center team, who were extremely helpful and professional during our snorkeling trip and made the experience safe and memorable. The food was very good, with a nice variety that offered something different every day. Definitely a place worth recommending ☀️🌊🏝️⛱️

All in all, it's a beautiful island and the service was good. That's why it's difficult to find anything to criticize when comparing it to other 5-star hotels. The difference becomes quite clear, and Veligandu is still in a transitional phase to becoming a resort that truly offers 5-star luxury. We actually have a few points that we didn't like so much, maybe some of them could be implemented. The house reef tour should be organized by the hotel free of charge, advertising for the island when promoting the house reef. Fresh fruit should be available in the gym, which is actually part of what you expect from a good hotel. Cocktails are never served with small snacks such as nuts, even budget resorts offer this. Overall, you simply notice a difference in the little things, but these make a big difference compared to better resorts. In general, you also get the feeling that it's like a game with the motto “pay to win,” where you have to pay for everything to fully relax. We were particularly shocked by the drinks prices and the price of the whale shark tour.
