The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali

We stayed at The Oberoi Seminyak and it was one of our favourite resorts ever. The traditional Balinese architecture is gorgeous, and what made the stay that much more special were the little details — like sunscreen and chilled frangipani water waiting by the sunbeds, which is such a thoughtful addition with the heat in Bali. But it's really the service from the team that left such a lasting impression. From check-in, to breakfast, the poolside, dinner crew — everyone was so warm and helpful, and it never felt fake or forced. Just genuinely nice people who wanted us to have a good time. Breakfast had great variety and they happily customised dishes for us. Dinner was excellent too, food quality was on another level. If you need to get away from the hustle of city life, get a reset and feel pampered, this is it. Perfect oasis away from the busier, touristy bits of Bali. We wanted to splurge on this stay and it was worth every cent!

Oh my goodness, my stay at The Oberoi was exceptional! The staff were absolutely beautiful and attentive. The grounds are spectacular and such a peaceful oasis in the bustle of Seminyak. Breakfast was fantastic and we ate at the restaurant for a dinner and the food was plentiful and delicious. We also were lucky enough to help release baby turtles into the ocean which was a special experience. Every single detail of my stay there was amazing. I look forward to staying again one day.

I adore this resort. It feels like a private oasis tucked away from the world, yet it is steps from downtown. We had a beautiful suite with a private courtyard, dining area, and pond. Wished we could have had one of the private pools, but they were all booked. The grounds are well kept. Staff is excellent. Very responsive and friendly. We were encouraged to attend at a temple ceremony and really felt included. Staff was so attentive. We were sick one day, and they went above and beyond, insisting on bringing fresh ginger tea and broths etc. Food was very very good. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning. The pool was lovely. Very clean and refreshing. Sunscreen and scented water sprays were always available. The resort is so quiet and because it isn't huge, there was never any problem getting a lounger. Enjoyed music and traditional dance performances on site. Truly an amazing resort.

My family and I just wrapped up our stay at the Oberoi. What a lovely stay! From check in to check out, our stay was great. Putra at check in was friendly and so helpful. The staff seems like they have been working there a long time as well. The structure has character and is quintessentially Balinese in feel. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but the TV is upto date, the AC works fab, and the beds and pillows are comfy. The servers everywhere were efficient friendly and the place just has old school charm. Adding to that charm, we're things like a complimentary afternoon tea, a server who goes around to even clean sun glasses and efficient service around the pool. The breakfast menu was fantastic. They were thoughtful and kept our room and kids rooms close to each other and there were useful amenities waiting for our children in the room. Additionally they even placed milk and cookies for our kids. The room turn in was done without our saying as well. Plus our room opened up directly towards the pool and beach so you get a real "shack on the beach " feeling too. Other activities the kids enjoyed were the kite making and mocktail making . But I would say if you are looking for hip and happening kind of vibe this is not your place . If relaxing, good service and a quintessential Balinese experience is what you want then yes book it. The house keeping were darling people I have to say , who folded nearly all our clothes, folded up even plastic bags to reuse like we would at home! And helped me in my packing. 3rd time to Bali and this is by far the BEST place to stay. The service is first class, you are treated like royalty and the whole team are so friendly and accomodating. Makes it hard to go anywhere else because they set the benchmark. Central location, yet you still get the peace and tranquility that this resort provides. They go above and beyond at all parts of your stay. We stayed in the ocean view villas and they are the worth it, trust me! No high rise buildings or balconies, just exclusive villas in a beautiful setting. Thank you to all the Oberoi team who make your stay truly memorable!
