Our stay was made truly unforgettable thanks to the incredible butler team, especially Hendrik. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure our family was looked after, always greeting us with a smile and making every request effortless. A special thank you for making my husband’s birthday so memorable. The thoughtful surprises and attention to detail made him feel incredibly special and created memories we’ll cherish forever. Travelling with young children can be challenging, but the team was absolutely amazing with our kids. They were so warm, kind, and engaging, always taking the time to make them smile and ensuring they were just as well looked after as we were. Hendrik and the entire butler team genuinely cared about making our stay exceptional, and their outstanding service was the highlight of our holiday. Thank you for making our family feel so welcome—we can’t wait to come back!

Understanding that it’s a holiday season, however, very disappointed not getting the room right on time. Check in time was 3pm and we did not get the room until 5pm. We stayed for only a night, we were hoping to really maximize our stay. We were offered lounge access for the afternoon tea, but were hoping to rest after a long morning. We booked room with the pool access, I must say for a 5 star hotel, sound insulation wasn’t the best as I could hear next room’s toilet flush and room door bell that we thought it was ours. We had to open the door couple of times. We had the access to cocktail hour which was probably the positive part for the stay as we are celebrating our birthdays. We’ve mentioned it weeks prior arrival, would be nice to receive a complimentary surprise as we did in another resort. Breakfast buffet was very BUSY! Hubby’s coffee and egg never arrived. Well spread with so many different varieties. Giving 5 star for all the staff - super helpful and friendly, cant fault their service. Not sure if I would like to book Sofitel again from this experience though.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort and would happily return. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, exceptionally clean, and feel peaceful and tucked away. The beachfront setting is gorgeous with calm ocean views, several lovely pools and great facilities including a well-equipped gym. Sunbeds could be in high demand at times, but we always found one we were happy with. Our Luxury Escapes all-inclusive package was fantastic, with an extensive buffet breakfast offering everything from Indonesian and Indian dishes to noodles, pastries, and Western favourites. Every morning we were greeted by gorgeous squirrels around the trees. We also enjoyed daily three-course meals, daily cocktails and incredibly relaxing Balinese massages. One of the highlights was the beachside barbecue at Toya Beach Bar & Grill, with delicious seafood and grilled meats, live acoustic music, and a fire dance that felt absolutely magical. Our Resort View King room was spacious with a lovely view of the resort and the ocean. While the room decor looked a bit too industrial for our liking, we appreciated the spaciousness and room facilities like the large bath tub and NETFLIX (rare to find Netflix in Bali)! The staff were warm and kind throughout - special thanks to our room attendant Rai, who made delightful towel animals for us, and to Sri, Mahesa, and Yogi for their attentive service. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already thinking about coming back.

Lovely Property, but Service and Culinary Variety Have Room for Improvement Overall, our stay was decent as the resort property itself is beautiful. However, we felt that the level of proactive service and attention to detail could be improved to better match guest expectations. A few honest observations from our stay: Room Size: We booked the Lagoon Access room with Club Millésime benefits. For a premium tier, the room layout felt a bit tight and cramped for a family. Staff Engagement & Kids Club: The staff were polite but generally passive. There was little initiative to inform guests about daily hotel activities. At the Kids Club, the staff seemed less engaged in interacting or playing with the children; the approach felt a bit transactional, focusing more on reminding us about the 2-hour free limit and paid programs. Dining Options: With three restaurants on-site, the menus for all-day dining and room service felt somewhat limited and heavily Westernized. Looking for more variety, we had dinner at neighboring hotel one evening. Ironically, even though we weren't staying there, the staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and enthusiastically invited our child to join the Balinese dance. Safety & Maintenance: The kids' pool was under maintenance during our stay without many information to us..and also many guests ignored the sign and went in anyway. Despite this, we noticed a lack of lifeguards on duty at both the pool and beach areas, which is an important safety consideration for families. The premium price for the Club tier would feel much more justified with warmer and more proactive hospitality. Hopefully, Sofitel can use this feedback for future improvements.

Had a fantastic stay at Sofitel Bali and will absolutely be coming back. The absolute highlight was the butler service. A huge thank you to Bagus and Diah — they were incredibly thoughtful and attentive to every little detail. They actually kept track of our daily schedule and bookings better than we did, which made the whole trip effortless and relaxing. The hotel itself is beautiful and hard to fault. If I had to point out one small area for improvement, it would be the dining options. It would be great to have a few more restaurants to choose from, or perhaps some themed dining events featuring different cuisines to give guests a bit more variety. Overall, a wonderful experience!
