First class. Staff were a credit to the hotel. One of the few hotels where the Buffett, is still a dining experience. The bar staff in the swim up pool and evening bar by the restaurant and pool were out of this world. I am type 1 Diabetic and never before have I had staff tuned into this. Unlike the Caribbean. The staff were good because the wanted to be and not driven by tips. Not forgetting the Buffett staff. Always smiled and acknowledged. Never let our glasses empty. No waiting to catch an eye. Like other hotels. The whole experience we will never forget and especially as it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you team RIU.

Another stunning holiday at Riu Maldives. As soon as we stepped off the boat, it was just like being home again. It was great to meet a lot of the staff that we now treat as family. They are simply the best staff we have ever met on holiday and an absolute credit to Riu. We just arrived back in the UK yesterday and already counting down the days until we return again at the end of June 2026 and also watching the prices to book again for November 2026. Cannot wait to get back again and if I had more holidays available, we would be back before June. See you all again soon!

This place is really beautiful. Very clean and very well kept. The staff are all incredible, so very friendly and helpful. Food and drink all delicious, with plenty of variety. Vegetarians well catered for. We have 2 more days here, lucky us! 😎 Things I would like to have known: There is shampoo/body wash and conditioner in the bathroom and soap, no body lotion. No slippers. Snorkelling gear can be borrowed for free, with a $50 deposit. Beach shoes not needed, but some prefer to use them. Night time layers not needed, 28 degrees C at night. Air conditioning in the rooms is good. Buffet restaurant is open sided. No mosquitos noted, and no bites, with no repellent used. Lots of couples here, but also family groups and groups of friends. WiFi good in the rooms and communal areas, less so on the beach. Some dress up for dinner, some don’t, it’s all ok, shorts fine for dinner too, male and female. There are all shapes, sizes, ages and nationalities here, everyone fits in 😊 It really is a little slice of paradise 😎🏝️

Definitely a couples retreat!! Went with a traveling group and shared a room and we received 1-king size bed/sofa bed. Took several conversations to get our room accommodation adjusted as we paid for two double beds. Other then that the RIU employees were very inviting. The island is isolated with multiple water sport activities/scheduled parties/fitness sessions. Yet exclusively designed for newly weds or a couples getaway not a traveling group. We were bored by the 2nd day watching couples coupling. So I rested most of the trip in the waterfront bungalow.

We stayed at Hotel Riu Atoll and everything was just perfect! 🌴 The place is beautiful, clean, and the food was amazing. Special shout-out to the bar team — they made every day feel even better with their great energy and cocktails. Can’t wait to come back! ❤️
