Our 10-day stay at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina was nothing short of amazing—especially traveling with two little kids! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect family getaway. My kids absolutely loved the pools and could have spent all day splashing around. The beach time was just as magical—soft sand, beautiful views, and plenty of space for them to play and explore. It was the kind of trip where every day felt easy, fun, and full of sunshine. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible kindness of Max at the security booth. He truly went out of his way to deliver sand toys to us on the beach, and it completely made our day. My kiddos and I were beyond thrilled—it was such a thoughtful gesture that turned a great day into an unforgettable one. It’s those personal touches that make a place truly special. Even now, my kids still talk about their “special time” at Pink Shell all the time. The memories we made there mean so much to us, and we are already counting down the days until we can come back. If you’re looking for a family-friendly resort where both kids and parents can relax, have fun, and feel genuinely cared for, this is it. We can’t wait to return! 🌴☀️

We enjoyed our first visit to the Pink Shell. We took advantage of the bikes included in the resort fee to explore Estero Blvd and used them to go to dinner near Times Square, as it was faster than driving. We also enjoyed dinner at Rae's Italian. Beautiful location and property. Breakfast at Jack's was great. Here's a tip: Get your grab and go coffee at the entrance to Jack's (from the Captiva elevator) instead of the Keurig coffee in your room. Food at Bongo's was mixed, with a combination of really good, to "should we take this back?" I took off 1 star because I had to fix the toilet upon arrival and because there was construction noise on our floor (4th floor Sand's building). We also didn't know the spa was closed for renovations.

We are retired couple traveling as a couple on this short trip, but could imagine enjoying this property both for a multigenerational family vacation or a romantic getaway. There’s something for everyone. The themed Octopool kids’ pool and a quieter 4 foot pool with nearby hot tub has easy access to Bongo’s restaurant and bar. The adult only heated pool and hot tub area has Bob’s Beach Bar for food and drinks. The beach is beautiful and it’s easy to secure chairs and umbrellas. There’s food and drink service to your chair at the pools or beach if you’d rather not move around. It’s possible to rent cabanas, which is a good option to offer. There are complimentary kayaks and paddle boards, and opportunities for jet skiing and parasailing and fishing. They offer ranger led tours. The food at Bongo’s for lunch and dinner, and Rae’s specifically for dinner are solid. Jake’s for breakfast is excellent and was our favorite. Staff are friendly and efficient. This is the first time I didn’t properly research a place before booking and it was a hit. Definitely will return.

Excellent value for a family vacation. Hot breakfast to die for -- luxuriant, delicious, bacon-rific... If Ronald is your server you will love it even more. Staff is super nice -- always so friendly. The beach chair and umbrellas are heaven on earth... If you burn in the sun. these umbrellas will keep you completely shaded and cool. We came AGAIN! THREE TIMES! I highly recommend! Also, 3 planets after sunset: Venus, Mercury, and Saturn! Good job Pink Shell!

The Pink Shell Resort truly delivered some of the best service we’ve ever experienced while traveling. The staff was exceptional, and the beach itself is absolutely gorgeous. We especially appreciated the adults-only pool, which was peaceful and a perfect place to relax. There were a couple of downsides worth noting. The traffic getting on and off the island can be challenging. If you stay on the island, you’ll likely be fine, but we boated out of Salty Sam’s Marina just a few miles away, and it sometimes took up to 45 minutes to get over the bridge. The rooms offer beautiful ocean views; however, they felt dated and in need of refreshing. The furniture was a mix of older, bulky pieces and plastic mirrors, which made the space feel tired rather than warm and inviting. The balcony furniture, in particular, seemed worn and dirty. On a positive note, the pools are very well maintained, and the unlimited towel service is a great touch. The on-site dining options are decent overall. Rae’s is excellent (highly recommend making a reservation since it’s small), and breakfast was good — especially the made-to-order omelets. While we probably wouldn’t return, families with small children or grandchildren would likely find this resort to be paradise. One more thing to note: If you have the time, there is a high speed boat that goes to and from Key West daily from Salty Sam's Marina. Highly recommend that day trip if you've never been to Key West.
