Our recent ten-day stay at OBLU Helengeli Maldives was nothing short of extraordinary—a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and warm hospitality that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness that immediately made us feel welcome. The entire team deserves special recognition for their attentiveness and sincerity; it is rare to encounter such consistently kind and dedicated service throughout an entire stay. Our beach villa with a private pool was the highlight of our accommodation experience. Beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped, it offered both comfort and privacy in a truly idyllic setting. The direct beach access made spontaneous dips in the ocean effortless, and our children were especially delighted by the open-air shower—an experience that added a touch of adventure and uniqueness to our stay. One of the resort’s standout features is undoubtedly its exceptional house reef. The snorkeling right off the beach was spectacular, offering vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters that made every excursion unforgettable. For a family looking to combine relaxation with light adventure, this was simply perfect. Culinary experiences at OBLU Helengeli were equally impressive. The variety and quality of the food were consistently excellent, catering to a wide range of tastes while maintaining a high standard throughout. Every meal felt like a treat, further enhancing the overall experience. As the days drew to a close, the sunsets provided a breathtaking spectacle each evening—truly the definition of paradise. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, surrounded by such natural beauty, created moments we will cherish for a long time. We’ve just returned from the wonderful Oblu Nature Helengeli in the Maldives and we have nothing but praise for this beautiful resort. The team were amazing, whatever their role. From the warm welcome at reception, our room attendant, through to the food and beverage team, we were truly made to feel special. Plenty to do if you want to with a spectacular coral reef surrounding the island. There’s diving and snorkelling, as well as fishing and sunset cruises if you fancy. So much more on offer including two pools, a gym and the spa that offers great treatments. The food is absolutely delicious and varied and there are à la carte restaurants too. We enjoyed the evening entertainment as well. We would highly recommend staying at this resort. We loved our 10 nights there and have lasting memories. We really appreciate everyone in the team. A special thank you to Sanu; our room attendant, Sanu; one of the chefs in Spice restaurant, Rajat; head chef in Spice and Shubhan one of the waiting team.

The only complaint was about the boat trip to and fro from male airport. Can't blame the crew for the choppy waves but the trip from airport was a full hour and 25 minutes, with a boat full of vomiting passengers. The return trip was better with calm waves but was asked to sit in an enclosed boat with no air conditioner or windows! Imagine the sea sickness you will get with no views or fresh air! All these made the whole trip miserable and I just cannot imagine going back to the resort or even Maldives for this matter!

The island is stunning, with crystal-clear waters and an amazing house reef perfect for snorkeling. Our accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional, always greeting us with genuine smiles. The food, atmosphere, and overall service exceeded our expectations. Thank you for creating such memorable experiences during our stay. We left with beautiful memories and would happily recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing island getaway.

​We actually shifted to this place on rec. That was a great choice! Tried 3 different rooms and all were great, really liked the Lagoon Villa with Pool, had both stingrays, sharks and grey herons right outside. ​Incredible Housereef, with great approach where you could just follow the current along the island. All type of animals! ​Food was of high quality, always something nice to enjoy and the variety over our 5 days stay was impressive. ​Service was there from day 1 on arrival. Small island and was always greeted when meeting employees. ​Rec. for future is to also sell sunscreen in store that are reef-friendly. Since OBLU in general is very proactive reg. the reefs, this would show that even more.
