⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Mulia Resort Bali is the epitome of luxury and excellence. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional hospitality and genuinely outstanding service. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and anticipated our every need, making our stay truly unforgettable. Our room was absolutely spectacular—beautifully designed, incredibly spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with every luxury imaginable. The private balcony with its oversized Jacuzzi was the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the tropical surroundings. We especially appreciated the walk-in wardrobe, powerful air conditioning, premium amenities, and the high-tech Japanese automated toilet, which added an extra touch of comfort and sophistication. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The resort itself is breathtaking. Its pristine beachfront location, magnificent pools, and world-class facilities create an atmosphere of pure relaxation and indulgence. Every restaurant offered exceptional cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and attentive service that made each dining experience memorable. The Mulia delivers a level of luxury that exceeds every expectation. From the stunning surroundings to the outstanding hospitality, every detail was thoughtfully curated. If you're looking for an unforgettable five-star escape in Bali, The Mulia is truly in a class of its own. We can't wait to return.

We stayed here with my husband for 6 days. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to the amazing team at the beach café Soleil 😍 greetings to all of you, and thank you for the atmosphere, service, and great mood you created. The hotel itself is beautiful with a large territory, and the beach area is absolutely stunning with several relaxing zones. The pool water was crystal clear and had no chlorine smell, which was a huge plus. However, there are a few things worth mentioning. On the first day when we arrived during the daytime, we asked what food options were available. We were only directed to one Asian restaurant, although later we found out that lunch at the international café was also available 🍽️ The bed linen always felt slightly damp. At first, I thought it was just because of Bali’s humidity, but in other hotels we didn’t experience this issue. Perhaps the pillows or blankets were already a little “tired.” The furniture in the rooms also looked quite old and worn out. The fridge in the room was also quite warm. However, I would like to compliment the staff for how quickly they handled it ,after we requested a replacement, it was changed within an hour. And one particularly strange moment really stood out 😄 While we were walking around the beach area, it suddenly started raining heavily. We wanted to stay under the poolside shelter for literally 10–15 minutes just to wait for the rain to stop, but a hotel staff member asked us to leave the area because we had a one-bedroom room and not a suite 😆 But thank you anyway for allowing us to wait out the rain for a little while under the shelter reserved for suite guests 😄 That was so kind and generous of you 🤣🤣🤣 Overall, despite a few uncomfortable moments, we still enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, amazing beach views, and many lovely staff members who truly made the experience warmer. We hope the management will pay attention to these details, because this place really has the potential to be exceptional ☺️

We recently stayed at The Mulia for a week in two suites with our adult daughters and the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Check-in was seamless and our wonderful butler made us feel immediately welcome, taking the time to show us around the suites and explain everything clearly. He handled dinner reservations and any requests effortlessly throughout our stay. Breakfast in The Lounge was fantastic, with a great à la carte selection and beautiful quality. The staff quickly remembered our coffee and juice orders and were always happy to suggest something new to try. High tea was a definite highlight—delicious, generous and made even better with free-flow cocktails and beverages. The resort is immaculately maintained, with stunning gardens and a calm, luxurious atmosphere. The staff consistently anticipated our needs and were always one step ahead. Every team member was wonderful, but special mention goes to Rima, whose warm smile and genuine care truly stood out, her service was 10/10. Our butler Agus was also exceptional, going above and beyond with kindness, professionalism, and thoughtful attention to detail. A truly memorable stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Our family booked three rooms at The Mulia to celebrate some special family milestones, and unfortunately this has been one of the most disappointing luxury resort experiences we’ve had in Bali. The resort itself is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained, however the service simply does not match the five-star reputation or price tag. One of our biggest frustrations was that kids weren’t allowed on grassed areas, and it felt a bit like a concrete jungle. Throughout our stay, many interactions with staff felt transactional rather than genuinely guest-focused. The attitude was often to explain what couldn’t be done instead of trying to assist. For a resort that promotes luxury hospitality, this was extremely disappointing. There were also several other issues throughout our stay:
• Wi-Fi was unreliable and frequently connected without actually providing internet access. We reported it multiple times and were simply told that IT said everything was working, despite the problem continuing.
• The rooms had poor sound insulation. The bamboo flooring in the hallways creaks loudly whenever people walk past, and between staff, neighbouring guests and children running through the corridors from early morning, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult.
• We encountered bugs in our room and felt the cleanliness standards could have been better.
• There was confusion regarding our child’s half-board package, requiring us to repeatedly seek clarification.
• We were required to pay a 5 million IDR security deposit, with advice that refunds could take up to a month.
• We enquired about airport transfers which I thought were part of the hotels service but they wanted tocharge us 450,000 IDR for an airport transfer, which felt excessive.
• Food and beverage prices were significantly higher than comparable luxury resorts nearby. And it was very hard to get service around the pool areas. The only real highlight was the buffet, which was excellent. However, one great meal doesn’t make up for the overall experience. We’ve been travelling to Bali for more than 20 years and visit several times each year. Immediately before staying at The Mulia, we stayed at Padma Legian, where the staff were welcoming, accommodating and genuinely focused on guest experience. We have also stayed at the neighbouring Apurva Kempinski, where room rates were comparable, yet the service, flexibility and overall value were on another level. For the amount of money charged, we expected genuine five-star hospitality. Instead, we found an inflexible, overpriced resort that lacked the warmth and customer service Bali is famous for. We won’t be returning and, unfortunately, cannot recommend The Mulia to families, if you want a hotel with no vibe this is it.

Went here to escape the cold Australian winters. It was an absolutely beautiful and relaxing experience as I stayed in the villas with family and friends. The resort provided high quality facilities like the gym and many water activities, while also offering many places and cuisines to eat. The gym trainer Vivian was especially helpful in coaching our gym 'boot camp' session. The staff were personal and always greeted with a warm smile and the service was always prompt, via the Mulia App on my phone. It was easy to contact the staff and book activities straight from my hotel room. The villas, where we stayed, each had a pool and two main rooms, including the bathroom which had a jacuzzi and two showers. They offered many refreshments in the room our location was easily accessible to the lobby. While the rooms were high quality, some rooms were hard to access, as the resort was on a hill and you had to climb up many stairs and ramps to get to the villas. To help with this, staff provided frequent buggy drivers, on demand via the app. Before we left, the general manager personally greeted and talked to us which showed the staff's heartwarming hospitality and attitude towards the guests. Overall, a 5 star hotel.
