We visited as day guests and made use of the spa facilities for massages, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have ever had. All three of us in our group felt exactly the same — the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. A heartfelt thank you to Vinah, Eva, Tanushri, and the rest of the wonderful spa team for making our visit so relaxing and truly exquisite. I had the most wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Mauricia Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with festive charm, soft lights, elegant decor, and the sound of holiday music in the background made everything feel truly magical. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always smiling and making sure every guest felt special. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the evening even more memorable. And the food was absolutely amazing! From the beautifully presented starters to the rich, flavorful mains and indulgent desserts, every bite was a delight. My husband and I stayed at Le Mauricia, Beachcomber Resort & Spa during our honeymoon many years ago, and we kept wonderful memories of our stay. Years later, while on holiday in Grand Baie, Mauritius, we decided to return for a day visit, this time with our family, our adult daughter and two teenage sons. It was a truly lovely experience and just as special as we remembered. The welcome was warm and genuine from the start, and the service at the bar was amazing. Enjoying a piña colada and drinks by the pool made for a relaxing and memorable day for all of us. Le Mauricia remains a beautiful resort with a great atmosphere and outstanding service. A place full of special memories, and one we would happily recommend to anyone visiting Mauritius.

What a disappointment!!! If you are a foodie and love good service, give this resort a skip! The food is as tasteless as the staff that serve it and the service seems like a chore for those staff. No smiles and very abrupt. From a room that was not ready for a very late check in, to NOT being greeted by those miserable faces every day. Very frustrating for a guest paying the same as everyone else...Being South African and of Indian descent makes staff assume your are local and therein lies the problem.... the staff ignore you and are super unfriendly. I think resorts and their staff need to be reminded that everyone pays the same rate. Everyone should get the same treatment regardless of race, colour etc. If you want a fantastic holiday, stick to Club Med where diversity wins. At Club Med you come in to the resort looking for a refresher and you leave satisfied and uplifted. Beachcomber Mauricia leaves you more frustrated than when you arrived. The only thing that lifts this rating to a 2 star rating is their cleaning staff who are friendly, smiling and do a great job of keeping the resort in great shape. Oh... we did get an opportunity to visit their sister Hotel at Beachcomber Cannonier and what a stark difference... great food, even better service and the staff are definitely happier!
