We recently stayed at Lyttos Beach and were impressed from the moment we stepped into the imposing lobby. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the check-in process was seamless. The Resort & Rooms: Our rooms were clean, practical, and well-maintained. A huge plus was the indoor route connecting our room to the restaurant – very convenient! The outdoor pools are crystal clear with plenty of sunbeds available, and the gym is one of the best-equipped we’ve seen, with a great focus on safety and guest identification. Dining: The atmosphere in the restaurants is cozy and the staff is exceptionally polite. We loved the daily themed buffets; the food was consistently fresh and tasty, even if you arrived towards the end of the service. A Heartfelt Thank You: What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is how they handle the unexpected. Due to a mistake on our part during booking, our family of six was split between Lyttos Beach and Lyttos Mare (the sister hotel next door). Even though it wasn't the hotel's fault, the management and staff showed incredible kindness and flexibility to ensure we could enjoy our holiday together as a family. It’s in these situations that you see the "real" value of a hotel. The team at Lyttos Beach went above and beyond for us. Verdict: Whether it’s the great sports facilities or the top-tier service, we can warmly recommend Lyttos Beach for any family trip.

OMG — everything is just right. On top of that, the staff are incredibly warm, engaging, and attentive. The food is absolutely amazing! This is the best 5-star hotel we have ever stayed at, and honestly the only one I would genuinely consider returning to. The hotel is designed very cleverly around a circular layout, so nothing ever feels too far away. The facilities are hidden underground, which is both smart and convenient. It’s also an adults/teen only (12+) hotel, which makes the atmosphere so much more relaxing without little ones screaming around the pool. There’s also a sister hotel next door with a water park and Olympic-sized swimming pool that guests can use anytime, which is such a bonus. I genuinely cannot stop smiling here — and I say that as someone who worked in high-end hospitality for 9 years and is an extremely demanding guest. Everything feels just perfect. It also attracts a really lovely mix of people. I’m not quite sure how to describe it, but everyone just seems relaxed, friendly, and chilled.

An amazing experience for families who want to relax and get the best value for money possible. From food and drinks to pools, the beach, gym, spa, water park, and children’s playground, this “island” offers everything you need for a perfect vacation. **Notable cons:** * For rooms 300–500 in the building, the elevator is unreliable and not always working. * There is no air conditioning in outdoor areas (only in the rooms, lobby, and a few restaurants), which makes it very difficult to stay outside during midday heat. * The hotel Wi-Fi is not very strong, so it’s better to get a cellular data plan and not rely on it.

This was the first time visiting Lyttos beach, myself and my family really enjoyed the stay from start to finish. The place itself was kept to a very high standard with the rooms and pools cleaned everyday. The food was amazing every day and we didn’t have one bad meal during the full week’s stay. The entertainment was amazing offering a different show in the theatre every night. The entertainment team were really enthusiastic and fun. Overall we would definitely book to come again and we are going to return next year

We had the most amazing time at Lyttos Beach in Crete! The resort truly exceeded our expectations. George in the restaurant was incredibly helpful with our son’s dietary requirements; he even went as far as adjusting the menu to cater to him, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. He is a real asset to the resort and made dining so easy. The facilities are incredible, with so many different pools across the site. Even though we visited out of season, the resort was about 75% booked, yet there was still more than enough space around each pool to find a sunbed. Our room was kept spotless with daily service, and the little touches like free drinks in the fridge and coffee topped up every day were greatly appreciated by us as parents of three children under five. They also provided two bed guards for our baby and toddler and a cot, which we didn't end up using and they promptly removed. The view from our balcony was beautiful, overlooking a garden with a glimpse of the sea. It was stunning. There was always a restaurant nearby which made dining so easy. The pools were slightly chilly at first, but this was expected given the slightly overcast weather at the start of May. Overall, we can highly, highly recommend Lyttos Beach. We would love to return when our children are a little older so they can enjoy the flumes and slides in the water park as much as we did! Thank you, Lyttos Beach, for a fantastic first family holida. We can’t wait to come back!
