We stayed 4 days at hakuna majiwe for our honey moon and it was fantastic. The hotel is well located in a quiet beach between page and jambiani, ideal for a good rest but at good walking distance (or 5k per tuktuk ride) to page. The hotel staff is very welcoming and made our stay fantastic. Besides of the good swimming pool, beach bench, and restaurant, the hotel offers delicious cocktails and mocktails. Our favourite one was hakuna majiwe special ;) a “strong” virgin mojito with fresh passion fruit! If you visit, try one! Special thanks to Mery who took great care of us and helped us at any point along our stay!

I had a truly wonderful experience at Hakuna Majiwe Resort. From the moment I arrived, the stay was pleasant and relaxing, exactly what I was hoping for when visiting Zanzibar. The services were very great throughout my stay. Everything was well organized, smooth, and handled with care. What really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, always ready to help with a smile and make sure guests felt comfortable and welcome. The overall atmosphere of the resort is calm and enjoyable, making it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. I genuinely felt well taken care of, and the hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend Hakuna Majiwe Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful stay with excellent service and amazing staff.

Good location to visit various parts of the island. Safe and quiet. Beach is civered vy debris from pines and there are lors of really shart shells in the sea which make walking hard. There are no restaurants nearby ang kitxhen in the hotel is terrible. How do they manage to make so tasteless food on spice island. Also there is a special greediness in tanzanians which made dealung with them special. I would not puck this hotel again.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the accommodation did not match what was advertised online. During our stay, we had to change rooms three times due to ongoing issues. Basic facilities were simply not up to standard: there was no hot water, the air conditioning was so noisy it was impossible to use at night, and a mosquito net – which was clearly listed as included – was not provided. The bed was of very poor quality and made loud creaking noises, making it difficult to get any proper rest. The sheets were covered in stains. The beach area was poorly maintained and looked nothing like the photos shown online, which we found very misleading. Additionally, there was very limited availability of food and drinks, with many items on the menu not being available. The hotel also lacked any atmosphere, as we appeared to be the only guests staying, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and disappointing. We raised these issues during our stay, but they were not resolved in a satisfactory way. As a result, we decided to leave early after only 3 nights, despite having booked 11 nights. Because of this, we were forced to book another hotel at our own expense in order to salvage our holiday, which resulted in significant additional costs. Do not expect any form of compensation or willingness to resolve issues from the hotel. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, and we would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

We had such a lovely stay at Hakuna Majiwe Resort and really enjoyed our time in Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt relaxed, welcoming, and easy to settle into. The staff were amazing always friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. Everyone at Hakuna Majiwe made us feel comfortable and well looked after, and they were always happy to help whenever we had any questions. We truly had an amazing stay, and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Zanzibar!
