This hotel was one of the highlights of my trip throughout Greece. The grounds are beautiful. The room I stayed in was large, comfortable, and quite lovely. Generally, the food was quite good, especially at the Dionysus and Blue Lagoon restaurants. Above all, though, what truly made the experience special was the incredible dedication and care of the staff. From check-in to dinner to the spa to water sports to the gym, the employees of this establishment were consistently caring and attentive. I would like to acknowledge in particular, the manager who seemed nearly omnipresent—I believe I saw him at every breakfast and dinner I had on site. The effort he put into ensuring the best possible experience for my party was clearly visible and immensely appreciated. And, though he stood out, all of the workers under him also made the trip much better by their care and dedication.

Unique hotel. The grounds are breath taking and beautifully designed. Staff are warm and caring. Watersports team are the best in the world. Some reviews complain about unrefurbished rooms. This is a taste issue. The "older" rooms are built in incredible quality marble and wood. Not very sustainable to destroy that just to change with the times. This is a legendary resort. As a testament to this, many guests have been coming for decades and many staff members too.

Do not let the other reviews fool you.... 1. The resort is very unkept, it hasn't been updated in so long and the rooms and facilities are sooo old. 2. We got a villa and the pool was so cold we couldn't even use it. When we asked to have it heated - they said it would take two days to get some to come warm it 3. We found a DIRTY diaper in one of our bedrooms under our bed 4. We found a used sweaty hat in another 5. We had a 3 bedroom, but we booked for 5 guests and not 6, when we had a last minute guest add, they charged us another 1K ... for what??? It didn't gain anything 6. When we reached out they questioned the validity of our claims even though we had let the front desk know of all these issue. When I reached out again, they wouldn't offer any type of refund or compromise. Instead they offered a free night back at that horrible villa. When you pay 20K for a vacation you expect a top tier experience. I have followed up 4 more times and the hotel ghosted me. DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed in a villa and from the moment we arrived we felt at home. Though an older establishment love and attention has been put into the villas and they are clean and comfortable. Our entire family agreed we were treated so well by the incredible staff. From being checked in on during our stay, to the general manager coming to introduce himself at dinner, to the cleaning and in room dining staff taking the time to talk with our family we felt so appreciated! The people of this hotel take pride in their jobs and in their island and are so happy to have you there. The private patio pool was an excellent way to cool down on a hot afternoon and we were just steps from our private beach. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for evening strolls. We will most definitely be back!
