Our stay at Barceló Mussanah Resort is absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for the ideal place to stay near Muscat while enjoying everything the Gulf of Oman has to offer, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. One of its biggest advantages is the marina, which gives you direct access to so many water activities and unforgettable excursions. A special thank you to Abdullah Heidar and Ahmed Nofli, who took us on an incredible trip to the Daymaniyat Islands. It was truly one of the highlights of our stay. They are exceptionally professional, friendly, reassuring, and incredibly flexible. They did everything they could to make sure we had the best possible experience, including giving us the opportunity to swim with sea turtles in a respectful and safe way. Throughout the excursion, we always felt completely safe thanks to their professionalism and attention to every detail. They also prepared a delicious snack on board, which made the experience even more enjoyable. They patiently answered all of our many questions with genuine enthusiasm and shared their knowledge of the islands and marine life. Their kindness and passion made this excursion unforgettable. More generally, I don’t know if this reflects Omani culture as a whole, but throughout our stay we were impressed by the kindness of the Omani people, their patience, their generosity with their time, and their genuine sense of hospitality and customer care. It made us feel truly welcome. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend both this hotel and the Daymaniyat Islands excursion to anyone visiting Oman!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT TRUST THEIR SPECIAL OFFERS One of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had at a resort. Barceló Mussanah Resort regularly advertises special offers on Instagram every Monday and Wednesday, with the offer valid for only 24 hours. I contacted them through WhatsApp on Monday to book the Monday offer. What happened? They completely ignored me and replied on Tuesday — exactly one hour after the offer had expired — simply telling me that the offer was no longer valid. Fine. I decided to wait for Wednesday because the Wednesday offer was actually better. I thought maybe this time I would finally get a proper response. Unfortunately, it was even worse. I called them multiple times, and on every call I waited for more than 4 minutes, with absolutely nobody answering. I then contacted them through WhatsApp. After waiting around 2 hours, they finally responded. When I tried calling them through WhatsApp because I needed to make a booking, the employee actually told me not to call again and sent me a form to fill in my booking details. I filled out the form and sent it back immediately. I was supposed to CHECK IN TODAY. And yet, despite having my booking details, despite following their instructions, despite sending reminders, despite calling repeatedly, and despite contacting them again and again through WhatsApp, I STILL HAVE NO BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND NO PROPER RESPONSE. What kind of resort treats customers like this? If you cannot handle the number of customers responding to your Instagram promotions, DO NOT ADVERTISE 24-HOUR OFFERS AND THEN LEAVE CUSTOMERS WAITING UNTIL THE OFFER EXPIRES. If you cannot answer your phone, fine — but then at least respond to WhatsApp messages in a reasonable time. If a customer has submitted all the required booking information and is supposed to check in the SAME DAY, the absolute minimum you can do is confirm the reservation or tell them clearly that it cannot be processed. Instead, I have been left chasing the resort repeatedly for a simple booking confirmation. This is not just poor customer service. It is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional for a resort that claims to provide a high standard of hospitality. My time is valuable, and I should not have to spend hours calling, messaging, and reminding a resort just to get an answer about a booking THEY are advertising. Very disappointing. I would seriously think twice before wasting your time with their “special offers.” If this is how they treat customers before the stay, I can only imagine what the experience would be like after you arrive. Barceló Mussanah Resort needs to seriously fix its customer service, WhatsApp communication, telephone support, and booking process. This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in the resort.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and professional. A special thank you to Sameera for her outstanding service and kindness. She was very helpful, welcoming, and always made sure that everything was perfect. Her positive attitude and exceptional customer service truly made my stay more enjoyable. And thanks to Mr.Younis for his hospitality and service for me and my family Thank you to the entire team for the great hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel, and I would definitely come back again!

We had a great weekend stay at Barceló Mussanah Resort with the kids. The resort is very family-friendly, with enjoyable pools, activities, and a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi, which made the stay even more refreshing. One recommendation that would make the experience even better is having a private ladies-only swimming pool, whether indoor or outdoor. That addition would truly make this resort the perfect weekend escape for women and families looking for both comfort and privacy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely love to visit again

Saw great offers online and hence planned to stay for 1 day with family having dinner and breakfast on board (half board). I believe location is cool beside the beach but since its Summers here at this time (May) of the year, temperature & humidity plays their part. Lot of swimming pool options with a Water park that adds to the fun. There is a big garden as well. Big space to stroll around in the evening. Grocery store is available for quick purchases. All in all, a great place to stay, eat, swim, play etc etc. If budget is a constraint, visit now else I recon the best time is to visit this resort in winters ;-)
