Our stay at Anantara Uluwatu had two very different sides. First, I would like to give special recognition to Sofwan. For three days he took incredible care of us and was always available through WhatsApp whenever we needed assistance. His responses were quick, thoughtful, and genuinely kind, and he made our stay smooth and memorable. On our final day he even surprised us with chocolates, which was a small but very touching gesture. Sofwan truly represents great hospitality, and I strongly believe that if he continues to grow in the company, he could become an excellent Sales or Marketing Manager in the future. Unfortunately, my experience with the Sales / F&B coordination team while arranging a proposal was the complete opposite. I planned this proposal carefully from Korea and spent over USD 600 on the package, but the communication often felt unhelpful and unprofessional. Even basic things like water were not included and had to be purchased separately. Two hours before the event, the backup restaurant location that had previously been explained to me was suddenly changed, which created unnecessary stress for such an important moment. During dinner service there was also repeated encouragement to purchase additional wine, making the experience feel very sales-driven rather than focused on the guest. I traveled all the way from Korea for this special moment, so I hope the management looks carefully at this issue. Anantara is a beautiful resort with great potential, but the attitude and coordination from the Sales/F&B team did not match the level expected from a luxury brand.

Large rooms equipped with everything you need. Views are stunning and the infinity pool is next level! Service from all team members is brilliant, made our stay even better. The spa was clean and we had a lovely massage. The breakfasts were amazing, had everything you could want. Highly recommend Anantara, we will definitely be back.

Second Anantara hotel I’ve stayed at and it was a great experience for us, though with one big miss. Amazing views - room was huge with a jacuzzi overlooking the Uluwatu coast. Service was incredible as was the rooftop breakfast. Yoga and spa were also favorites of ours. The big miss however was new years - we stayed 2 nights to enjoy the new years dinner and celebration at the poolside restaurant. It was very expensive for Bali - around $400, and unfortunately it seemed the restaurant was woefully unprepared for a special new years menu. Food was slow and tiny portions, and we heard other tables complaining as well. Hopefully more prepared next year. In any case we made the most of it and will consider Anantara again.

Yuls “Yuls”

I had a very disappointing experience at Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort. At first glance, the room looked nice when we walked in. However, once we settled in, several issues became apparent. The balcony door was partially broken and did not function properly. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell. I understand the hotel is located by the ocean and plumbing systems can sometimes be challenging, but at this price point, that should not be noticeable inside the room. There were also small biting bugs in the room, which made it extremely uncomfortable. That alone made it difficult to relax, let alone sleep. We tried the hotel restaurant and were disappointed with the food quality, especially considering the automatic 22% service charge added to the bill. The overall dining experience did not reflect the standards expected of a property in this category. We were scheduled to stay three nights but ended up leaving the same day because I did not feel comfortable staying in the room. We returned two days later only to collect luggage and formally checked out that evening. I never actually slept there — I simply could not bring myself to stay even one night given the conditions. I booked through American Express and paid approximately $350 per night. For that rate in Bali, I expect a clean, well-maintained, updated room.
