EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERYWAY. Spent 4 nights at the Alua Linda, and it did not disappoint. The location, being only minutes away from the airport, a very short stroll to various beaches, sensational decor (the aesthetics stole my heart) but more importantly, the food... I am coeliac, and need a Gluten Free Diet, the staff especially Ramon (Chef) and Roberto (Head of Restaurant) could not have been more accommodating and welcoming, I felt 'held' and in a very safe space. They knew when I went into the restaurant, would acknowledge us, then inform the staff on that I was coeliac, they would walk me through all dishes, highlighting what was safe, they naturally make most of their sauces as GF, cooked fresh dishes and also ensured I had all I needed. They are an asset to the Hotel, and the reason we have booked to return again in a few weeks. OUTSTANDING. Thank You, you made what can often be a stressful element of being away, a joy. June

Lovley hotel , maids tidy it lovely in your room , food is amazing, pool is lovely and night entertainment. 3 young men one called pedro and jhon who work at the restaurant are absolutely lovely and a young man who’s at the front serving food/ chef tall and coulared is absolutely lovely will heat up the food if it’s cold. Lovley hotel xx

Don't be fooled. This is a very old building that has had some cosmetic surgery to make it look new and fancy. On arrival you will find two lifts that are likely from the 1970s (one of which was not working at the time) so be prepared to wait for a long time to get to your floor. Your rooms will look great in the pictures but you will struggle to sleep as the walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversation in the next room, the airport is nearby and so is a busy road and as there is there is NO sound insulation so you will hear it all at all hours! The aircon is also very weak so your room will get cooler, but not cold, which is an issue in the Mallorca heat. I wanted to like this hotel as the staff are friendly and it's part of Hyatt but honestly it's not good at all so I would recommend looking at other options.

The air conditioning was faulty. It kept turning on and off throughout the night, repeatedly waking me up and leaving the room warm and stuffy. There was no internet access on the second floor, which was very inconvenient. The elevator was out of service during our stay. This wasn’t a major issue for me since my room was on the second floor, but many other guests had to use the stairs. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, the location was convenient, and the hotel was close to bus stops and a supermarket, making it easy to get around.

Extremely disappointing – not what we expected from a Hyatt property. Mid tier 3* at best. We stayed at Alua Linda Mallorca for the second leg of our honeymoon, having spent the first part travelling around Malaysia and staying in a mixture of 4- and 5-star hotels across cities and islands. Unfortunately, the difference in quality was shocking. After our experience here, we genuinely struggle to understand how this property meets the standards we would expect from a Hyatt-affiliated hotel. Compared with the hotels we stayed in during the first part of our honeymoon, Alua Linda Mallorca performed extremely poorly and, in our opinion, felt more like a mid-tier 3-star hotel at best. This was supposed to be part of our honeymoon, and instead we were simply disappointed with the standard of the hotel and relieved to leave. The positives There is one member of staff who genuinely deserves recognition: Noé at reception. He stood out massively from everyone else we encountered and appeared to have a far better understanding of customer service and hospitality. He was welcoming, helpful and accommodating, and honestly seemed to be operating at a completely different level from most of the other staff. The hotel also offers a room that guests can book free of charge to shower after check-out, which is useful if you have a late flight. Unfortunately, those were the only real positives from our stay. Breakfast We had seen other reviews describing the breakfast as "great", but our experience was completely different. We found it mediocre at best and inconsistent from one day to the next. Perhaps those reviewers simply have lower expectations, but compared with the quality and variety we experienced at other hotels during our honeymoon, this breakfast was extremely underwhelming. Rooms The rooms are unbelievably small and feel cramped. For a hotel of this supposed standard, we also found it disappointing that the rooms only appeared to offer twin single beds rather than a proper double bed. This is particularly absurd for a hotel accommodating couples and, in our case, honeymoon guests. Air conditioning The air conditioning repeatedly turned on and off throughout the night, making it difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. More concerningly, my wife developed a persistent and quite severe cough whenever the air conditioning was running. We cannot say with certainty what caused this, but given how consistently it happened, we believe the hotel should investigate the condition and cleanliness of its air-conditioning system and filters. Service and hospitality With the exception of Noé, the service and hospitality were extremely disappointing. Several members of staff came across as abrupt, unaccommodating and uninterested in providing a genuinely good guest experience. What made this particularly noticeable was that we had just spent the first part of our honeymoon in Malaysia, where the standard of service was consistently exceptional across multiple hotels. However, this is not simply about comparing Mallorca with Malaysia — we have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, and the level of hospitality here was genuinely poor. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had in a long time. The hotel fell well below our expectations in terms of accommodation, food and, most importantly, hospitality. Given that this is a Hyatt-affiliated property, we expected significantly better. Instead, this experience has seriously damaged our perception of the Hyatt brand. Based on our stay at Alua Linda Mallorca, we would not choose to stay here again and, honestly, it has made us reconsider whether we will use the Hyatt brand in the future.
