This resort is a dream. We spent our Christmas and New Years Eve here with the entire family, including 4 kids. The island is one of the biggest on the Maldives, so they have plenty of restaurants and activities to entertain yourself. The food and atmosphere in each restaurant is amazing, and worth trying. The Terra restaurant up in the trees deserves a special mentioning, and is great for a romantic date night. The service levels of all the staff is unreal. They were incredibly kind and humble. You can tell they love their job, and they are happy with their employer. If you have the option to be there for the holiday season, please do. Their festivities are beyond your wildest expectation. Thank you so much for making our grandpa's anniversary holidays, the greatest holiday ever. We will start saving for our return.

Four years ago, we visited the Waldorf Maldives and had an absolutely wonderful stay , it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The resort’s service, attention to detail, and world class hospitality made it truly unforgettable. Unfortunately, our recent experience has been the complete opposite. A shocking decline from what used to be a five-star standard. We were stunned to find out that the resort is closing during our scheduled stay in July and the worst part is that no one bothered to notify us beforehand. We only learned about it through a flyer that was posted, which is completely unacceptable for a property of this caliber. To make matters worse, the management has done nothing to assist us in rebooking at another Hilton resort, nor have they offered any viable alternatives besides asking us to “change our travel dates.” We can’t do that. Our flights are already booked and paid for! What’s even more appalling is the complete lack of communication from management. Emails and calls have gone unanswered, and there has been zero accountability or empathy toward guests who are now stranded with expensive flights and no place to stay. It’s infuriating to see how far the Waldorf Maldives has fallen from the exceptional resort we once loved. I would urge anyone considering a stay here to think twice. The management’s disregard for guests and failure to communicate or assist in these circumstances is beyond unprofessional.

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. The staff is superb, always attentive and warm. Zuma quickly became our favorite dining spot — the ambiance, impeccable service, and absolutely divine food set it far above the rest. The spa experience was wonderful and incredibly rejuvenating. The resort also offers a wide range of daily activities, including meaningful sustainability programs that guests can participate in. The kids club offers fun-filled activities and thoughtful amenities that even made us wish we could join in! Overall, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Our first visit to the Maldives, and the Waldorf Astoria made it unforgettable. The overwater villa was incredibly private, modern, and spacious, with a beautiful infinity pool and stunning natural light overlooking the lagoon. The food was spectacular, from the diverse breakfast buffet to the variety of dinner options, every meal was a highlight. Service was immaculate throughout our stay, and our private butler was always responsive and helpful. Even the yacht transfer felt like a luxury experience on its own, with friendly staff and refreshments. I would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a world-class getaway.

From day one, she handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. She coordinated activities, dining, and daily plans seamlessly, kept communication clear and timely, and always checked in at the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. Even during days with less ideal weather, she helped us adjust plans smoothly so we never felt limited. Anna’s attention to detail and consistent reliability made our stay comfortable, stress-free, and memorable.
