  • Dinner at Flavour, Zest or a three course dinner at Smoked, Sea Dragon or Azure from the special chef’s menu (booking recommended)
  • Unlimited selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during lunch and dinner and at Breeze Bar (10am to 12am), the Beach Club (10am to 6pm) and Forbidden Bar (7pm to 12am)

We are here and very happy with our choice of island. A beautiful beach with many different sides and impressions, friendly atmosphere. The staff are very attentive to the well-being of their guests, especially Mohamed, the front desk manager, who was very accommodating to our requests for a room upgrade. There are many great opportunities to enjoy yourself away from the breathtaking nature—we particularly like the two different pools, one in the middle of the island and one at the outer end, which always play relaxing, inviting chill-out lounge music, offer good cocktails, and have great lounging options. Entertainment is also well taken care of with live bands and show acts. As for food, there are delicious dishes in the buffet restaurants. At Smoke, we had a good steak at no extra charge as a honeymoon treat, and we are still trying out the other restaurants. Our modern Sky Studio room has a great view—we love the swing on the spacious balcony. In general, the furniture everywhere seems to be quite new. Thank you for the great time so far!

The service is extremely poor; staff seem uninterested, untrained, and hospitality is at the bare minimum. Requests take forever to be addressed, and even simple courtesy feels like too much to expect. The rooms are dirty, with visible dust, stains, and an overall neglected feeling. Housekeeping clearly does not meet even basic 3-star standards, let alone what you’d expect from a 5-star property. The dining area was appalling — dirty plates and glasses everywhere, and the food quality was terrible. The selection is extremely limited, and what little is offered tastes bland, stale, and poorly prepared. It’s honestly hard to understand how this hotel still retains a 5-star rating. Based on this experience, it doesn’t even qualify as an average 4-star. Overall, I left completely disappointed and will definitely never return. There are far better resorts in the Maldives that actually care about guests and maintain proper standards. This is not the real Maldives, if you don’t want to ruin your holiday avoid visiting this resort. We moved to another resort after staying here for 4 days. When you get out of here and move to another place you start to have a feeling that holiday started now and everything before at Kandima was just a bad dream.

The location is just perfect – truly incredible! We stayed in an Aqua Villa with jacuzzi, and it was the best spot to enjoy the sunset. We even saw dolphins right from our terrace, which was an unforgettable experience. The service overall was good, though a few staff members could be a little more friendly and show more of that warm “service spirit” you’d expect in such a beautiful place. However, I have to highlight Mohamed at the reception, he was absolutely exceptional! Always smiling, kind, and genuinely helpful. People like him make a real difference in a guest’s experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back !

Just the place to relax and unwind from all the stress, visit Kandima Resort in Maldives with my family for a mini vacation and everything was just amazing from the time we stepped on the island till the time we left the island, the service was just outstanding, and staff is very friendly, especially Mahesh who was our housekeeping guy and the staff from Azure Restaurant just made our day with their excellent work ethic and a small gesture for my kids. I would definitely visit again. The island is massive with many activities and different restaurants which is just wonderful.

Solid stay at Kandima Maldives – with room for improvement We had a great time at Kandima Maldives and the island itself is beautiful. Overall, I would rate the experience closer to 4 stars than 5. Food: The buffet was okay but a bit limited and repetitive after a few days. The à-la-carte restaurants, however, were excellent and highly recommended. Service: Service was generally fine, but sometimes quite slow. In some bars it took up to 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. A big compliment to Rasel – his service was outstanding: always friendly, attentive and professional. If everyone had his attitude, service would be amazing. Accommodation: We stayed in an Ocean Pool Villa, which was modern and beautiful. The bathroom was a highlight. However, there was no direct access to the sea, and the waves were very loud at night. Also, no power outlets near a mirror, which can be inconvenient. Cleanliness: Overall cleanliness was good. Rooms were cleaned daily, but the outdoor terrace could have been done more thoroughly. The water was crystal clear. The glasses and cutlery in the restaurants were clean but looked a bit worn out. Beach & Sea: Exactly what you expect from the Maldives – white sand and turquoise water. There are some coral pieces in the water, which might bother some people when swimming.
